I ordered this mysterious thing, not really sure what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised! This rig is light weight, ultra-configurable and supports my Sony FS100, which is a much heavier camera than many of those suggested by the description. Adjusting screws take some getting used to, but it all works out. It didn't come with screws... like it says it does? It came with one, for mounting your camera, but I was confused by this. There are a number of places to screw in things.

Honestly this thing is a big middle finger to rigs costing 1,000-2,000 dollars, I don't know why I ever considered redrock or zacuto....

SO this is a cool setup and I bought it before it game with the 15mm rods. I shot a student film and it worked well. Now they added the rods but not a big deal, bought a follow focus and rod system and I really think you want an independent system. An independent system allows you to add more to the rails and gives you the ability to be less dependent on this rig. So put my system on here and it worked perfectly. Next day I decided to get out and do some test shooting and that's what is needed because then I saw the problems that arise. THis rig as a shoulder mount needs a counter balance. WHen loaded up and braced against your chest you will start getting elbow pain after a while. I am going to look for a solution for this but until then I have to rate it a 3. Its great for low shots because you can reconfigure it but as is I can't recommend it for over the shoulder work.

I was very surprised when I saw how small of a size this rig actually folds into. I can easily fit this rig in my camera bag when it is completely folded, and I can have it set up and ready to be used in less than 2 minutes. I thought I would be purchasing a very cheap plastic shoulder rig when I saw the price tag, but I was surprised with the very solid feel this metal rig has. My Canon 600D (T3i) camera sits snugly on the padded plate, and moves about very smoothly when I operate the rig. The sheer amount of 1/4 inch spots alone is enough to make this rig an excellent buy. Highly recommended for the price.

I was a little skeptical about the quality but when i received the rig i was surprise by the quality, 8 out of 10.

The only problem is that is supposed to have 1/4 treads in all the handles but one was a little bigger.

I suggest to put a straight bar in between the handles to make it more stable.
