We needed to connect dual monitors to our desktops that had one VGA and one HDMI but the monitors were DVI or VGA. I was concerned about the extra connection of an adapter to a DVI cable and needed a straight cable instead. These are nice and long allowing us to have our desktop tucked away further than before. It was smart of them to make the length 10ft so we can also use them for our wall-mounted monitors we use.
