Extremely Reliable and Durable. I purchase this product because I wanted more support to my 15 mm rods on my rig other than just a clamp that I'm suppose to trust won't lose its grip. The fact that this Articulating Arm slides onto the 15mm rod gives me the confidence needed when mounting my 7'' Lillput Monitor. I would encourage anyone who's trying to put together a rig or anyone who has a purchased rig to add this to your arsenal of equipment. I'm going to purchase two more because of the quality and the durability.

I have also purchased other items from this manufacturer and am very pleased with most of their products (this and a too-tight rod clamp are the exceptions).When I received the magic arm I was very happy, at first I thought "durable, great quality, great buy". It was great for mounting a small senheiser mk400 to the shoulder rig, but in the first try to mount my camera to a table dolly, the ring from one of the ball heads came loose and I found myself holding a 35-dollar piece of useless metal. The camera was a rebel t3i with a 50mm 1.8 lensthat is, as light as it gets with a dslr...I would suggest SmallRig to rate and publish the maximum load for the product so other users won`t have the same 'accident' (though if I had known it was only good for such light accesories, I probably would have gone with the unfortunately pretty much more expensiveand reliableManfrotto)
