First of all it's somewhat heavy, I do not like the way it tightens down, seems poorly machined.
Most of all these are made overseas and although metal are very flimsy feeling when used regularly (even after a few times).
I don't even use mine any more, and my advice spend the money and get yourself a decent dslr rig with a monitor holder.
A much better option than spending over 40. on this crap. You won't even get your money out of it.
At least that is how I felt. If your the novice user, and don't care...then by all means get this. But for any even semi pros this is worth a pass for sure.
Hope this helped.I purchased two of these arms not expecting much in quality given the reasonable price. I was wrong. These arms are fantastic. I purchased these for a job I am working on now and they are great. I use these for my Zacuto EVF and my HD monitor. With the removable hot shoe adapter, these arms attach easily to my 7D or my Redrock DSLR cage. They have come in handy allowing me to use the EVF (my preference) and still allow the director to view what I'm shooting without having him hover over my shoulder or be responsible for carrying around my monitor. They aren't as flexible as other articulating arms but for the price, they're exceptional. I highly recommend these for light weight systems (I haven't tried these arms with any equipment over a few pounds).
