Geovision GV-FE110 1.3M H.264 Fisheye IP Camera 84-FE110-100

Purchased this camera about 3 weeks ago and ended up installing in a door way in my house. With placing of the camera, I am able to actually monitor activity in 3 different rooms. More or less the entirety of the 2 rooms the camera is in between and then because of the picture quality I can easily see quite a bit in third room that is catercorner to the other room. It is doing the work of six different cameras easily.

I plan on purchasing a few more for few more rooms.

Unfortunately this camera is not well suited for low light capabilities. And being what it is I really don't see how they could make it so. When all the lights are turned out, You can see very little if anything. This alone unfortunately, to me make it unsuitable for any out door areas that don't have a descent light. Which is sad, Because 4 of these could literally cover just about every square inch of the outside of my house.

Also, I love the software, it has excellent capabilities, However the software that was included with my camera does not seem to support any non Geovision IP cameras.

Overall, Those are the only 2 issues, And if it weren't for the software lack of support for IP cameras that aren't Geovision I would give it 5 out of 5. However, I have to knock it down a star because of that lack of support.

We purchased three FE-110 hemispheric cameras for our retail location (in addition to an FE420 and two fixed lens IP cameras). The cameras are simple to network and produce quality images; with six cameras, we are able to do the work of 16 conventional 480 line fixed lens cameras.

One of the FE110s we received had a cloudy lens, and the North American customer service representative swiftly & politely resolved our issue by replacing the camera, shipping paid both ways. This is the kind of customer service you hope for but rarely expect in modern times.

The installation is easy and the quality is superb! Excellent for small to mid size room. Quad view for independent view angle. Microphone quality is great, almost no lag thru internet remote access/streamming. Definitely recommend.

No moving parts yet covers a near perfect 360 degree by 180 degree area. Has easy, one-click configuration for mounting on ceiling, wall or floor. Two-way audio is a great bonus. Installs incredibly easily.

Would be 5 stars if it included IR capabilities. The lens case has IR printed along the band but there are no IR emitters in this camera and my research indicates that the lens is not built to register IR of any frequency, so I assume the "IR" on the band is for something else.
