this is an adequate alternative if you don't have $350 for a well made professional loup like the one from Zacuto.I returned this product for a few reasons:
1. Although it fits the wider 3.2" screen it's magnification doesn't allow you to see all edges of the 5D Mark iii screen at the same time. When peering through the loup you have to pan your eye to see all corners which is less than ideal when your shooting.
2. It is made from thin, flimsy plastic; it's not sturdy and doesn't feel durable.

It telescopes so it's compact and packs nicely
