HTC EVO 4G HDMI to Micro HDMI Cable (6 ft )High Speed with Ethernet

I bought this thinking it would act as a mirroring onto my tv screen. It only shows up when looking at pictures or videos though. It arrived when expected. Maybe there is an app that might help me.
