Fujifilm FinePix XP60 16 MP Digital Camera with 2.7-Inch LCD (Yellow)

Fujifilm FinePix XP60 16 MP Digital Camera with 2.7-Inch LCDIt's a great time to be in the market for underwater cameras. Because so many people have good cell phone cameras, camera manufacturers have had to step up their game and offer point-and-shoots with more functionality than the phones that everybody already has in their pockets. Underwater/shock-proof/dust-proof/freeze-proof cameras are for those times when we're having fun in environments that would typically ruin a regular camera or phone.

Here's what I like about this camera in general:

1. You can take it in the pool. Last summer, some of my best shots were of my kids underwater in our swimming pool. We have so many great memories of our pool, but until we got an underwater camera, we didn't have these captured. Another thing that we've really enjoyed is the ability to take video underwater. For fun, I get in the pool, have the kids dive in and then swim up to me while I video the whole thing. There's something really amazing about starting a video above the water with all the sound and water reflections and then going under when they break through the water and hear the muted underwater sounds as they swim up to me. More importantly, the smiles on their faces are bigger/more authentic than when we're just standing in the back yard and I ask them to smile.

2. You can bring it to the beach and just throw it in the sand. When my kids are at the beach, we like to build huge sand castles. In the past I have brought my non-sandproof camera and spent most of the time a)protecting the camera from flying sand; and b)getting angry with my kids for flinging the sand in the direction of the camera. Now, I actually get in the line-of-fire as they're digging because the flying sand in the foreground makes for some great pictures.

To sum it up, the best camera for the job is always the one you have with you. If you're scared your camera is going to get wet, sandy, or freeze, you'll leave it at home where it won't do you any good. With this Fujifilm FinePix XP60, you'll have *no worries*

As far as this type of rugged camera goes, I have owned Canons, Nikons, and Olymupus' offerings. Currently, my favorite of all is the Olympus TG-1iHS 12 MP Waterproof Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom (you can see my review there as well) (*also note there is also a new model for this, which is here: Olympus Stylus TG-2 iHS Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom and 3-Inch LCD (Red))

This Fuji proudly sits in second place in my opinion. That being said, it is also nearly $200 less than my beloved Olympus, so it is definitely a great value.

Here's some specifics:

The camera is built well. It's sturdy and has a solid feel. BUT, the biggest selling point for it's build-quality may be it's biggest problem for some: it's pretty small like the size of two iPhones pressed together. This is great because you can just throw it in your pocket or purse and it won't take up much room. The problem this presents is that the buttons on it are pretty small, which will mean you might press the wrong buttons once in a while, especially when using it underwater. I'm an average size guy and it didn't offer me too much trouble, but if you're larger-than-average, you might want to look elsewhere.

The photo quality is great. The pictures look good in and out of the water. Because I only use it for messy, sandy, watery situations, I can't report on how good it does indoors or in extreme low-light situations.

There are a ton of features, and many of them are useful. In fact, it shares many of the features with the Fujifilm X20 Silver 12 Digital Camera with 2.8-Inch LCD (Silver). If you check my review there, you'll see that I love:

SR is an advance auto mode that determines the best settings based on the scene. It even shows its predictions, so you can see if it is accurately assessing the situation. From my experience, it's startlingly accurate. It chooses from: landscape, night, tripod, beach, sunset, snow, sky, greenery, and sky & greenery. Having these settings on a camera is old news, but having the camera predict the scene itself and do so with great accuracy is a pretty exciting advancement.

Also, there is a NATURAL setting which I love. What it does is takes one picture with flash and one without continuously and then let's you decide later which worked best in the situtation. Being a pro photographer, I am usually pretty good at choosing, but this is really helpful to my wife. Let me give you an example: If you're taking pictures in a darkened room of your child blowing out their birthday candles, your camera is going to choose flash to lighten things up. The problem with this is that it kills all the beautiful candle light. Using the natural-mode on the camera will give you both. It's actually a great learning tool.

As far as video quality goes, this camera does a great job with that as well. Don't expect it to look like and HD movie you've rented from Nexflix, but you can expect it to capture great detail that your phone just can't see.

--

In conclusion, I think this is an excellent choice for a rugged underwater camera. Buying this (or another model) to capture the fun you have this summer is a no-brainer. The pictures you get will be priceless before you know it.

...If you found this review helpful, let me know! If there are any questions you'd like answered, I'll do my best to help. Have fun!

I have a problem. I buy cameras like every year to every other year. I do have valid reasons for upgrading. Trying to find the perfect camera for the use. For me, this is my cruising camera. I needed something that can go deeper. That I can use on a boss excursions (think a scooter and sub combined), snorkling, and free diving while under water. I need an underwater camera that can take great underwater pictures and video and not have it look all green or blurry. I needed something with an optical zoom rather than digital only. I got this little baby on ebay for $140 with case, underwater strap, and a 8gb sd card. For the price I paid it is worth it. This camera is neat, but there are some minor flaws as well as pluses. I still think you can do better on underwater cameras, but even the nikon aw100 that is similar priced has nearly the same flaws. I think it has more to do with limitations with it being an underwater camera and the glass they use.

This camera is waterproof. It goes down to 20 feet. Although their are cameras that go deeper, why spend $300 on one. Even the ones that go 30-36 feet are not universal. I almost bought one since I like to scuba dive, but that's rare and only on select cruises since I am not certified. Scuba diving you will go 30-60 feet underwater with a discover class. If you go deeper than 30 feet you risk your camera. Why get a $300 camera when it may not even work for basic scuba diving. I know the depth varies on where you go, but it helped know that the $300 still may not be able to go that deep for scuba. Boss you go down about 12 feet and this camera can easily do that. It is about 8 feet to the top of the helmet. I haven't tested this camera in deep water. Just the bath tub. It stayed sealed and the pictures were pretty good for underwater, but that's not a great test. I know from the videos on youtube with the xp50 the underwater pictures and video are superb. They rank right next to $300 underwater cameras. For me, this is an underwater and on water use camera only.

This camera has some great pictures modes like 3d, panorama, selective color, underwater, landscape, etc. The auto in general is great, but you will need to go to picture mode underwater for the best under water pics. I talked with fuji about that since I was going to try staying in auto on trips.

One thing I like about this camera is like my slr, you can snap pictures while recording video. Great for family functions. Just know you will hear clicks on the video from the shutter.

I have a caribbean cruise coming in March. I wanted to use this on the trip exclusively since most of the excursions are on or around water. Problem is, the picture quality is somewhat lacking. Not awful. When you zoom in on the pictures they get fuzzy really quick. The picture quality zoomed in is the worst I've seen on any of my recent cameras in the past 5 years. The good news is this is a 16mp camera so unless you are making a movie size poster, when will stretch it past 100%? I messed with settings and if you lower the picture quality to 12mp or 14mp the picture quality greatly improves. You still get big pictures, but zooming in they look better by shrinking them slightly. I guess the sensor they used is not ready for prime time. Or better yet, maybe a firmware update will fix it. Within the settings you want to change your pictures to "fine" instead of the default standard. It gives a little more detail. Because of the picture quality, I'm going to use my budget pocket point and shoot. That way my slr is safe on the waves and only break out the xp60 for in the water pictures. Also, because of the picture quality issue, make sure you zoom in while taking pictures rather than trying to edit them on your computer. That way you get the best pictures. I'm not saying the pictures are that bad. Without being resized they look great. Let's say you want an 8x10. That is shrinking the image by a good half. When you shrink down the image while printing you get just as good if not better picture quality. For most people that's great. Just if you don't plan ahead on what you will print and use something like photoshop to zoom in you start to see a bit a blurring at around 120%. Unless you use photoshop or need to blow up a small 1/8th chuck of your photo you will never have a problem. This camera doesn't do great in low light. It loses a lot of detail. Avoid using at night in the house or when there's not a lot of light in the room. Outdoors it is great though.

This is a really snappy camera and fun to use. Underwater this camera is the bomb. I love how the latch clicks into place and you should be sealed against water. Just watch the strap doesn't keep the door unlocked. Be careful handing this to others while in water. That latch looks like a camera knob and the last thing you want is someone popping out your battery under water and frying the camera. The latch has to be turned and the middle button pushed in to unlock it, so it does make it harder to accidently open the camera. For kids, this is a great and versatile camera. However, if you are cruising you are better off using a point and shoot as much as you can and using this camera where it is risky like around water. Even a nice underwater camera like from Nikon has image quality issues when zoomed in. I think it has a lot to do with the glass they use to protect the lenses. For 95% of the people out there you won't blow up the images before you print. With it being able to handle 16mp or even with my recommended 14mp to address picture quality issues you have more than enough mp to print what you need. In the end this is the best budget underwater camera I've found. Awesome snorkeling pictures and video. Land pictures are very good, but know you are limited in zoom.

Personally, I would only recommend this camera for kids that need a camera that can take a beating or using this around extreme outdoors. For general indoor and sight seeing by land you want to keep your existing camera that probably has better zoom, better in low light, and hopefully better picture quality when blown up on the computer.

PROS:

I went diving in Florida up to 20 feet underwater and it did stayed dry thanks to the awesome dial that you have to turn to close the door tightly.

Good underwater photos

9 out of 10 high def videos played back fine on my pc.

The floating strap

I was not afraid to bring it with me to the beach in sand and saltwater.

Amazing 5X optical zoom in a little camera, although when I was underwater, taking shots at 5X zoom was very difficult to get the subject in the screen so I mostly shot zoomed out. The Amazing 5X optical zoom was better used for when I was standing on the beach and shooting.

CONS:

Video is saved in Quicktime .MOV format so when I tried to stream it from my pc with TVersity software to my Microsoft XBOX, it would not play.

When I played the video on my pc, one of the 10 videos played back in slow motion even though I did not do that.

Kind of weird that both photos and movies are saved in the photo folder on the memory card instead of separate folders (photo and video) like my SONY and PANASONIC cameras.

SUMMARY:

I would prefer the videos in AVCHD format like my SONY and PANSONIC cameras. In the meantime, to stream from my pc using TVersity software, I'll have to convert Quicktime to AVCHD format using Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD.

6/25 update: I installed a different codec for TVersity and now the Quicktime format plays (but it looks horrible like the days of standard analog tv) but my other zillion movies in AVCHD format stopped working. I guess I have to keep searching for a codec that plays all formats.

This is a nice camera. It is durable, waterproof to shallow depths, and takes excellent photos.

The photos are excellent, particularly with the image stabilization. Unlike so many others, you can actually zoom in on a subject without camera shake ruining most of the photos. The burst mode works well too, though it takes a while to save afterward. The panaramic option in burst is really cool, allowing you to easily take panaramic shots by sweeping accross a landscape while in burst mode.

The video quality is surprisingly excellent as well, particularly the sound. This camera could easily replace a mid-level camcorder for most uses.

There is an option to sysc the camera to directly upload to your preferred social media, though I admit not trying this out as I have no desire to do upload photos that way.

The camera is waterproof to 20 feet, which would be great for swimming pools and basic snorkeling, though I wouldnt recommend for SCUBA as that depth is too easily passed. I have tested this in the pool and the river, it takes great photos and stays completely waterproof.

Fujifilm claims the camera is shockproof to 5 feet, though I did not feel compelled to drop it from 5 feet to test this. Ill take their word on it and report back if my kids ever knock it off the counter or something.

Overall, this is an amazing camera for the price. To top it off, it even comes with a "real" memory card so you dont have to immediately run out and buy a bigger one.

Want Fujifilm FinePix XP60 16 MP Digital Camera with 2.7-Inch LCD (Yellow) Discount?

So far this camera is taking great pictures and is fairly simple to operate. Pictures are clear and full of color.

Haven't put it to the water test yet but will be soon. With the 32GB memory card it's more than fast enough to take the action shots we wanted. So Far the battery life is pretty good. It will last all day on for pictures. Haven't tested battery life on videos yet.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Lens + UV Filter + ES-62 Lens Hood + Tripod + Accessory Kit for EOS 50D, 60D

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Lens + UV Filter + ES-62 Lens Hood + Tripod + Accessory Kit for EOS 50D, 60D, 5D Mark II, 7D, Rebel XS, XSi, T1i, T2i, T3, T3i Digital SLR Camerasthis is a great bundle o have gotten my moneys worth from this buy. the lens is great and the lightweight rip pud has come in hand plenty of times

As expected (from other reviews) this lens has really good results. Only issues (also not any surprise) are the poor build and loud noise the lens make when auto focusing. All in all it is a cheap alternate for a 50mm lens. I still don't understand why Canon would make it this way. Perhaps, they are trying to keep the cost down as well.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500K 10.1MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Z

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500K 10.1MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized ZoomJust upgraded from the FX-35 and did quite a few tests yesterday. Overall, the FX-500 is an excellent camera but dollar for dollar you get a little more with the FX-35. That being said, I am selling my FX-35 and keeping the FX-500 (see eBay!) because some small specific differences weigh in favor of the FX-500 for me as a photographer, but not necessarily because the camera is better. There were a few primary issues I want to mention between the two cameras though.

First, the FX-500 is noticeably larger than the FX-35. I know specs are specs, but just the weight and feel make it larger and it is less comfortable in a shirt pocket. The bonus is that for those of us with larger hands it is more comfortable to use without always hitting buttons with your thumb. Second, the lens is not quite as wide as the FX-35. This could be a number of factors, but since we know the chip processes not only noise but some optical distortions (try comparing the RAW and JPEG versions of a few Lumix camera images!) this could be post processing by the chip. I would guess the FX-500 is about a 25.5mm or 26mm wide angle compared to the FX-35. That, or the FX-35 is a 24.5mm :)

The most disappointing aspect of the FX-500 is that the images are not quite as good as the FX-35. Look close, mainly in low light. I notice significantly more noise artifact in the FX-500 images compared to the FX-35 in all ISO's. This make sense since the FX-500 has a much larger screen sitting right behind the chip and more electronics. I am sure the FX-500 generates more electronics noise from this fact alone and that has to be processed out. Luckily, the FX-500 has many more manual controls and you can adjust contrast, sharpness and noise reduction and little. Still, making as many adjustments as I could I could not get the same quality out of the FX-500 that I could get out of the FX-35. Let me stress that this image difference is small and only available to Pixel Peepers when you zoom in 100%, but it is noticeable. So, if you shoot wide and hope you can later crop in to get the image you want you will do better with the FX-500 to frame tight to reduce the amount of cropping.

Those were the largest issues I saw, but let me say the build quality is excellent as it always is with Lumix cameras. The menus are intuitive and the touch screen works wonderfully (even with a screen protector on the LCD). I think the actual number of items the touch screen is useful for is smaller than the number of things you can actually do with it, but for those things it is nice. The focus control is sweet, changing modes and scenes is quicker and easier and things like the playback control for movies now offer you real buttons on the screen which is very intuitive.

When you compare the fact that the FX-500 has more manual controls, a larger LCD, fancy gadget points for the touch screen and a slightly longer lens at 125mm, I decided to stick with it. This is also because I got one on eBay for about $350. If you are not really going to play with the gadgets on this camera that much and want a pocketable point and shoot with excellent, amazing optics, pick the FX-35. If you want a little more manual control, some sweet gadget novelty with the touch screen and perhaps a slightly longer lens and don't mind spending $100 more, get the FX-500. I decided on the FX-500 but really I am just waiting for a new and improved upgrade for my FZ-18! (I want a 10M chip and fancier processor, other than that I love the FZ-18!)

Two last notes: the rubberized case feel of the FX-35 is more secure in your hand in some ways and I really miss that on the FX-500. Also, the FX-500 seems to eat batteries a little faster. (makes sense though, expected...)

Pros:

1. longer zoom range nice

2. larger, heavier body easier to hold for large hands

3. intuitive touch screen, fast & easy

Cons:

1. more chip noise than FX-35, but manageable

2. larger heavier body less pocketable

3. costs $100 more than FX-35 for minor upgrades

4. battery life a little shorter than FX-35

First of all, I can't comment much on the value for the money, since my purchase was based solely on features and I was willing to pay for them. I searched for 6 months for a camera that met my requirements (in this order).

Must Haves:

-fast first picture from 'off' state

-good low light pictures (as good as a compact anyway)

-small enough to fit in pocket (for bars, parties, etc)

-HD Video

-7MP or more

Nice to have:

-manual photo options

-Zoom while video record

-.avi video recording

-4x zoom or more

I was originally going to purchase the TZ5, but this model's manual options and smaller size won me over. For my purposes, giving up the 10x optical zoom was well worth it.

PROS:

-excellent (amazing) "Auto Ai" mode: It's truly point-and-shoot if you want it to be

-image stabilization 'mode 2' works very well to reduce blur

-about 1.25 second to first pic from off (about 2 sec with flash)

-battery life (second only to the Casios that I've purchased for friends and family)

-low-light pictures: if you set the correct scene mode, you can get a very decent picrture without flash better thatn any other compact digitals I've seen.

-great video quality: 720p .MOV format is compatible with iMovie and looks great on a 42" 1080P LCD TV on a computer (you'll need to pay extra for the cable that goes directly from the camera to the TV)

-25mmm wide-angle is surprisingly useful, but you have to remember to zoom slightly if you don't want a slight 'fisheye' view.

-there is a 'quick menu' that gives you 2-button access to all the most often used functions (they change with each mode)

-one touch access to self-timer (great for quick self-portraits)

CONS:

-no zoom while video recording (TZ5 only as far as I know)

-sometimes it's unclear whether to use touchscreen or the joystick (I think anywhere that uses the touch should also be able to use the joystick)

-flash pics are about 6 seconds shot-to-shot (with 2/3 battery on full iA mode with double red-eye reduction flash)

MINOR ANNOYANCES:

-the LCD turns off after a some flash pictures for 1.5 sec or so (I suppose to help the flash recharge more quickly)

-tripod mount is to far left of body: bad for tiny portable tripods, but placement allows you to change battery/card without disconnecting tripod

-USB cable is not a (current-standard) mini-USB on the camera end. This may be a plus later on as more phones and cameras use micro-USB

SUMMARY:

This is the best camera available for my requirements, and an excellent overall compact. It has the best low-light pictures (with defeated flash) that I've seen on a digital compact (aside from the old, old Fujis). It's the first camera that I've been truely comfortable setting on 'auto' and knowing I will almost always get a good picture.

If you want a pocket-sized camera that you can just whip out at an event and be assured of a good picture or take a great looking video clip, while retaining the ability to do some limited manual exposures, this is the one for you.

I have had quite a few point and shoot cameras and this one is the nicest I've owned. I've alway been a fan of the Canon line of cameras and was a bit skeptical about switching brands, but the lackluster reviews of the recent Canons made me look at other options. The FX500 has met or exceeded all my expectations for the camera. The pictures are exceptional, the touchscreen is a joy to use, and the battery life is above average. Our pictures have been bright and vivid with minimal user intervention, the HD video is wonderful and its compact size and durable case means we can take it anywhere.

If I had any negatives to report, it's the same issues with other PnS cameras, we experienced some red eye, a bit of noise in the pictures and the audio quality wasn't all that great.

********UPDATE*******

After having the camera for almost a month it pains me to say it, but its being sent back. I mentioned noise in my review and after looking at all the pictures we've taking in great detail the pictures are just not crisps and clear. My wife is the main user of the camera and she constantly take pictures, runs them through photo shop and then prints them. When she sat down to do the first set from our vacation she found when zooming the pictures really become grainy and are blurry when printed. They look fine without the zoom, but when you start to zoom in you loose detail that our older camera captures.

Its really disappointing, the camera has the best interfaces I've seen and the touch screen is very nice. If your just wanting a nice point and shoot and aren't into photo manipulation, then this would probably be a decent camera, otherwise you may want to look at other options.

I completely fell in love with my Panasonic DMC-FX01, which has taken many unbelievable photos over the last 3 years until it finally ingested too much sand and died. I badly wanted a pocketable camera with 5x optical zoom, manual controls, a wide angle lens, and above all, great image quality. I have been so happy with Panasonic compacts that I decided to wait 2 months for the DMC-FX500, but I feel like that was a complete waste of time. With all its bells and whistles, and the promise of full manual settings, this camera just doesn't take good photos.

For the steep $350, I expected the camera to at least somewhat approach the image quality of my Canon G7, which has near-DSLR IQ. This camera sadly doesn't even hold a candle to my wife's DMC-FX03, an older, low/middle-range Panasonic. Photos are generally very soft, and lacking focus. Highlights are often blown out, and lack vibrant colors. About 1 in 4 photos actually comes out decent, with somewhat acceptable focus. The 9-point auto focus setting turned in the best results, but even those were spotty.

I spent much of a 3-day weekend trying to tweak the manual settings, white balance, megapixel levels, sharpness and noise reduction controls, and came up with about the quality I'd expect from a $100 camera. Neither close-ups nor wide shots lacked sufficient detail. The "intelligent" auto setting is odd b/c there seems to be nothing intelligent about it the results are almost random some are way under-exposed and others are badly blown out. Some shots are relatively well-focused, while others are soft/blurry. Almost none approach a "great" shot.

I keep wondering if I've gotten a bum unit, but I'm so disappointed with this camera that I don't feel like bothering. Even with the Canon SD870IS' questionable reliability (our friends had trouble with theirs), I'd rather drop down to 4x zoom and 8 megapixels, which will be better anyway due to not having to stuff too many MP into a small image sensor. I don't have any doubt it will take the quality of photos I expect from a higher-end compact, and for about $90 less than this one.

I am highly impressed with the FX500. The touch screen is very cool, though most of the actual setup and operation must be done with the small joystick (also easy to use). The large 3" display is crystal clear and bright, even in sunlight. The camera has a metal body and machined metal lens casing and buttons very sturdy camera. The photos are excellent in quality, better than my last Canon (the SD1000, total junk camera) by FAR. Lightweight and the video recording in HD at 720P feature is AWESOME for shooting small clips that look excellent on my 42" plasma. Flash is bring enough for all situations, and in natural light shooting with no flash the Optical Image Stabilization helps a lot. Some graininess noted in photos above ISO 400 and in a basement with no windows and lighting dimmed WAY down, but that's to be expected from ALL cameras. Quick fiddling with the manual mode (done by touchscreen) and you can take 10MP photos in very low light with no flash and they look quite good... very impressed. One last note, this works perfectly with my Macbook Pro, recognized by iPhoto right away and imports are lighting quick too!

The images I get from this thing are nothing like the beautiful, sharp pictures used as examples. It makes me wonder if the examples even came from the same product. If they somehow did, there has been considerable post-processing done to get rid of the strong blue cast which is there whether the cheap blue-white LEDs are used or not.

If you want videos and pictures that look like the examples, you'll have to look elsewhere, and probably spend a lot more money. Unfortunately, the return policy states "...in new and unopened condition" so once you unseal it to try it out, it's too late.

I could not disagree more with the other reviewer, my pictures were as good or better than the ones shown here on amazon. This product is not to be confused with a cheap made in china usb microscope, it is a quality well made and innovative tool giving you, your loved ones, amd doctors visibility into parts of your body and potential issues that you would otherwise never have. Whether it is a tooth filling, questionable mole or growth on your back, inside your ears, or elsewhere, you can now see it for yourself entirely and highly magnified and take pictures and videos. This product and manufacturer are especially unique thanks to the well made and innovative focus approach, great illumination, awesome software they developed themselves, and real support through updates in the vitiny USA web site. Unlike too many of theses products that contain unauthorized software and no support, vitiny has updated drivers and application software available and instructional videos. The application is beautifully done, easy to use, and solid. The attachments for viewing the human body are high quality and innovative. In an era of cheap poor quality import copies, vitiny distinguishes themselves in providing. Innovation, quality, and a real contribution to the field of home and remote medicine at a price point that is amazing.

Delivery was timely and surprised me as it got to me from my the Supplier via my Miami Sky-box, to Trinidad in exactly 9 days...with the delivery time they targeted for delivery to Miami spot-on time.

My one disappointment is that the full-sized tripod is a sub-standard product that I will not use for my T4i nor my SONY Camcorder as it is most unstable. I have one of those already and I use it to mount a small LED light when shooting, so this one will also be thrown into light-mount service. I must now purchase a seriously sturdy tripod for my T4i as my other one I use for my Canon G9 camera and the SONY Camcorder.

All in all I am quite pleased...it was a good purchase.Canon EOS Rebel T4i 18.0 MP CMOS Digital SLR with 18-55mm EF-S IS II Lens & Canon 75-300 Lens + 58mm 2x Telephoto lens + 58mm Wide Angle Lens (4 Lens Kit!!!!!!) W/32GB SDHC Memory+ 2 Extra Batteries + Charger + 3 Piece Filter Kit + UV Filter + Full Size...

many of these cheap package deals will send you a recalled camera even after you ask them not to like me. Canon fixed it in 10 days no cost to me. (handle grips can give you a rash and turn white.)

Also if you are buying the T4i DO NOT GET ANY LENS, BUY ONLY STM LENSES!!!!

The new AF feature during video means that any non-STM lens will stutter loudly during filming and the video will be useless!

I recommend the 18-135 STM lens especially if you like a good range and prefer not to carry additional lenses.

The camera and the kit arrived perfectly and on time, however there was a little difference between the the offer and the actual one because there was only one extra battery instead of two.

Additionally, I think that by mistake they sent two sets of 3 pieces of filters instead of one, while the UV filter was not in the box.

The product itself is really great, I am not a photo professional, but as a begginer I enjoyed very much the camera and the accessories, having really goods results in my first pictures.

I have only had this camera since this past Monday 12/10/12 but boy do I love it! I had a 35mm camera a long time ago that I used some for vacations and the like. Because of the cost of buying and developing film I didn't experiment much with it. After my last debacle with my camcorder, where the sun washing out the LCD screen caused me to miss some once in a life time shots and video, I decided it was time for a good camera that would take stills and video. I was looking at either Canon or Nikon. After watching some commercials on the Canon and reading and comparing both I decided that the Canon was the better choice because of the faster fps continuous shooting and better video and still color rendering and many more features. I now love the world of DSLR! You can play and experiment all day and if the pictures are bad just delete them! Because it has been so long since I was serious about the art of taking pictures I have to get up to speed once again and this is the perfect camera for it. If I want to take great pictures all I have to do is put it in auto and zoom and press the shutter button. On the other hand if I want to go for special effects I can take more control and set the camera up manualy. It has many features that set up automatically ie: landscape, sports, hand held night, portrait and more. This camera has SO MANY features that it will take me some time to learn them. But the best news is that I am having fun doing it. It is simple enough for a beginner, like me, or for someone who is more advanced. I would recommend that if you get this camera also purchase David Busch's guide CANON EOS REBEL T4i/650D DIGITAL SLR PHOTOGRAPHY. It is 500 pages on nothing but this camera and all of it's operations from A to Z. Lots of illustrations and way better than trying to read the small factory manual. As for all the other items in the bundle I had no problems. The box arrived with everything that was listed in it.

Cons: The camera bag and tripod are too small for this camera and all the items. I bought extra the Amazon basic backpack and it holds all of this and more. I already have a bigger tripod, for my small camcorder, so I will now use the tripod that came with this bundle for the camcorder and my bigger tripod for this camera. The other con is shipping. You have only one option and that is 3 to 5 days. I thought, at first, that wasn't too bad. But I discovered what that really means is that they take 3 to 5 days to " START " to ship it. It was a week between ordering and arrival. If you are in a hurry there is no other option.

In conclusion I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CAMERA!! I've been like a kid in a candy store this week and dream of taking pictures with it at night! If you are looking for a DSLR that can make you look like a Pro then this is the camera for you. Don't bother looking any more unless you want different lenses. This is the best $1000+ that I have every spent and I would do it again in a heart beat!

Camera came 2 days early. Exactly what I expected. Excellent camera, good lenses, and good aftermarket extras (Extra battery, extra charger, class 10 32G card, ect). Everything is good except the camera case I wouldn't trust to hold a disposable camera safely and a tripod that might work for a small point and shoot. It is still a good value even if you throw the junk away.
