The camera is brilliant, and the lens is one of the best available for covering 70-200mm, it's a professional quality lens worth about 2 grand. However... stick that UV filter on it? And you may as well have bought a $400 third party 70-300mm instead of wasting your time with this. The rest of the gear is also mostly stuff your going to throw away or never use. Not sure about the tripod.

In reality the price being charged here isn't bad, you could probably find cheaper, say around $2,800-3,000 for the camera and lens alone if you looked around, you'd then have to buy a memory card and filter if you wanted to protect your lens.

Basically buy this set if you want, but throw that nasty filter away the instant you get it. Do NOT ever put that on anything you value.
