It does what it is supposed to do, but it takes a good 6-8 seconds to switch between inputs. Also, note that this is HDMI 1.2a, not the latest version.

I have been using this switch for almost a year now. AT&T U-Verse (Pay TV over IP) DVR box, Philips upconverting DVD player, and Canon HD Video cam. Still takes 6-8 seconds to change between inputs. Occasionally have to power cycle the unit, which isn't a big deal for me, but try to explain it to the wife over the phone. Occasionally I get a HDCP error on my tv, and I have to cycle through all the inputs to clear it. Still better than swapping cables or buying a new tv with more HDMI inputs.

I have just purchased a Samsung Blu-Ray player, and this switch does not work with it. The connection cycles on and off continuously, even on the player's setup menu. I am afraid I need to find a new solution now.

As the title states, the quality is good/excellent. No ghosting. Excellent contrast. Crisp text. At least as good as the cable that came with my monitor.

Design wise, the thumb-screws are poorly designed. The shape does not provide for a good grip...sending you for a screw-driver. The plastic is not hard/firm enough to tolerate the force of the screw-driver turning it...it bends, scrapes and generally causes one to question the quality choice of the manufacturer.

Length does not perceptibly degrade LCD monitor image quality.

I would purchase again, but I might look for a cable with better thumb-screws all else being the same quality.

Causes extreme ghosting on monitor. I expect this is due to the fact that the cable has very thin shielding -much less than a standard 6ft monitor cable. I bought this because I wanted to get my computer off my desk and out of the way, but was completely useless to me. Threw it away.

In order to rearrange my computer equipment, I needed something longer than the original monitor cable to connect between the CPU and monitor. I found this cable and ordered it, thinking it would do what I needed. After receiving the cable, I quickly learned that it causes ghosting on the monitor, something that does not happen with the original cable. The manufacturer, Tripp-lite suggests changing the resolution or refresh rate, neither of which would be acceptable to me. I would like to see Amazon revise their description of this item and tell people that it may deteriorate the performance of their monitor.

This very light-weight and cheap feeling 25' cable produced hazing and ghosts in the VGA signal, worse with the higher resolutions. Further reading indicates that it is due to improper impedence rating of the cable, which means it is just cheap materials. If you need a VGA cable to go 25', get it heavy shielded and pay.. or you will end up paying twice.

Very disappointed.

Because VGA is an ANALOG format instead of DVI/HDMI digital connections, VGA cables must be treated with great care from manufacturing to use. Unfortunately this cable wasn't treated well in manufacturing. The cable impedance is wrong which creates ghosts in the image. The mfgr (tripp-lite, well known for their inverters and ups systems) tried to get by with thin cable which might be ok for a 3 foot VGA but in 25 feet the cable degredation just ruins the picture.

Proper cable is 75 ohms for VGA signals, measuring this with a tektronics cable analyzer shows it is off by 33%, and that the red, green, and blue cables are not all the same impedance (they should be matched). You will not like the image at the end of this above 640x480 and even there it will be sub-par.

For long VGA cables, look for thick cable (3/8-1/2 inch) heavy shielding, the thicker the better. On my unix workstation the 3 coax cable is 1" in diameter. the VGA standard calls for 5 coaxes so you can see they are using skinny wire inside.

As the other reviewer said, buy the best. forget the rest. I hope this review saves someone's eyes out there.

4.5 stars on the non-HDMI monitor and I would have gladly paid for the optional locking arm but everthing else is a 5 star. Everything is solidly built and looks just as good as it performs. The set up time is nothing and it is simple. This looks great in front of clients when they see you are using professional gear instead of homebuilt jokes. It came with everything advertised and nothing wiggles or has any slop. The bag is large enough to include my tripod dolly and there is a face pocket large enough to fit lots of cables in.

I would suggest using a tripod dolly to move it around and a motorized tripod head with extended cable so you can pan and track while the crane is locked. I am really glad I bought this as a kit instead of trying to fool around with a regular tripod or get by with less.

If you are a serious player in the video industry and you have a desire for shooting great videos, than the DVC250 is a must. This camera crane case package has allowed me to produce some stunning shots where otherwise I could not. Having the advantage of reaching great heights, literally, I was able to shoot video in great angles where only ladders could have helped before. The 10" screen, which I attached to the right side of the tripod, enabled me to see what I was shooting without any strain or effort. The zoom controller, that attaches on the tripod, controls the zooming, and power on/off of the camera. This eliminates the guessing as to what you are shooting. You have total control on what you are shooting and the angles and movement of the crane. All this can be done with a one man crew. If you balance the weights on the "jib", you literally can move the whole crane with your fingers. There is absolutely no resistance to aim low or high to get the right angle for your shots. I specialize in corporate, small business and real estate videography. To be different from your competition, you must have the advantage of shooting great videos. This ProAm Camera Crane is very well built, stable and easy to maneuver. I will recommend this package to anyone who is serious about great videos.

I ordered the DVC250 and instead got the DVC200. Parts were missing. The remote to control the focus and zoom didn't even work. The only positive thing about the order was the crane, which works pretty nice.

It is very easy to assembly and use but I had a few issues after few uses. I needed an allen key to always fasten the joiners. It looks like the PD170 is a bit heavy on it as it always lean to the right a bit making my shots a slight skewed. Overall I am happy with for the price but not sure about its durability especially since I am shooting every week and I always need an allen key foo it, I am wondering if those screws will not give in soon.

This was an excellent purchase for us.

We received the wrong LCD monitor but we called BC and they gladly helped us upgrade and replace the HD monitor.

The crane works fantastic.

We've been using it consistently since we received it and have had only one tiny problem with a screw but again, we contacted BC and the replaced it.

The cords are fine, work fine, but don't have the ferrite cores on the ends. Just plain not there. For less than a buck each, they work fine. But I wanted the cores, and it seems I'm doing without. Any suggestions appreciated.

Just read the title above. It's as simple as that. I paid $10 for this cable, maybe $15 with shipping, and it works just fine. I went to Best Buy and asked the salesperson why I should pay $160 for a Monster brand cable that does the same thing... he couldn't give me an answer that would justify paying $150 more than I did. You'd have to be a moron to buy those $160 Monster cables... or just really, really, wealthy!

I got these on sale and had hoped they would power a 1080p computer monitor but when I connected the cord and PC up I got a cable error on my monitor. It was then that I swapped out this cable for a higher end cable capable of high bandwidth and was able to get a display. These were really cheap but could not do the job for me. I am sure if you have a plain 720p tv it will work just fine though.
