This is not a Mini DVI it's a Mini Displayport there's a difference. If you have a white or black macbook such as myself, you're most likely going to need an actual Mini DVI adapter.

This adapter worked great for about a day. Then the color on my tv went bluish. My macbook screen's color is normal, but the color on the tv is wonky. If I jiggle the adapter a bit, I can get the color to come back, but as soon as I move it just the slightest bit, it goes back to the bluish color. Next time I'll spend a little more money for better quality.

I've never bought anything on Amazon that broke after one use. This is a first for me. What did I expect for $2.30? The adapter worked once (perfectly) but on second try, it worked, then disconnected. Holding it in place would elicit a flicker from my TV every now and then, but then even that stopped working. This adapter is a piece of junk. Don't waste your time on it.

Just got this so I'm not an expert yet. First impressions:

-Easy to use, did not have to read the manual (only the first pages as not to mess up the battery).

-Very good quality in low light environments.

-Because it's very compact in size, fits in the palm of your hand, and it's lightweight.

-Good zoom (30x) which lets you film from afar.

Quality of the film: very good, although since it's my first camcorder I do not have comparison parameters.

Battery: My only gripe so far is that the battery does not last long, but it charges very quickly so what I'll do is just buy a second one to have in my pocket just in case.

Interface: It does not have a USB connection but a FireWire port so I'm downloading directly to my computer. Another option I explored was connecting it to my Samsung DVR-120 DVD Recorder, where I downloaded my film and burned it directly to a DVD-R.

It has other options which I'm not familiar yet. As I get to use them I will update my review.

I recommend it to any beginner or folks who need a quick solver for those birthday parties and road trips. I suppose it does not compare to those high-end 3CCD devices, but I didn't expect it to be more than it is: a great first camcorder.

This is Panasonic's entry-level camcorder, but it's packed with useful features, like good image quality, 12 lux sensitivity, and a whopping 30x optical zoom. I think it's perfect for casual travel videography as well as for shooting entries to the "America's Funniest Video" show. It's fairly easy to use and the build quality is solid.

A good optional accessory to get is a spare battery. You never know if the battery might run out at the most inopportune time, so be sure to pick up a backup one. Given the recent Dell recall of 4.1 million laptops due to battery fire, you should get a genuine Panasonic LiIon battery designd specifically for this model. Don't put your life or your loved one's at risk.

The reviewer named "Hung" got it totally wrong (or was just plain lying). The GS29 does come with IEEE1394 Firewire (aka i.Link) so you can download your videos quickly to your PC; if your PC doesn't already have an IEEE1394 port, you can get a PCI IEEE1394 card for $30 or less. You can use Windows Movie Maker, included with Windows ME and XP, to edit your videos and export them to CDs or DVDs.

I ordered this cable from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. I am using this with a Canon 7D and it works great. I noticed some of the reviews on moster cables were mixed when using them with Canon products. This cable is just a generic version but works great.

I got this as a gift for my mother-in-law. All I have to say is that shortly after I gave this to her the mini HDMI end pulled off the wire. This may be because it was being twisted some while holding her camera. But regardless the product failed. It was replaced with a Canon brand cable and the same thing happened. Not sure what the next step is.

Nothing to exhalt here, it is a cable that works. It had a good bite when you plug it in, the tabs are not smoothe so you feel some resistance when you plug it in.

Cable was new and arrived without damage. It works great. Would recommend it to anyone, and the price is right.

You can not beat these prices, I use these cables for Canon 7D attaching the SmallHD DP4. They work great. Small HD charges $9.00 a cord (crazy) and they break pretty much on every shoot and you have to keep buying new ones, but not any more. Buying from here is the way to go.

Lorex QLR0440 4 Port DVR PCI Card Digital Monitoring System (Without Cameras)

After purchasing and using 2 Lorex cameras with other PC "capture" cards I decided to buy this card and I have not been disappointed. Now I can monitor all my cameras from one PC and the included software alone is worth the price. The only down side so far is I cannot find the power adapter cables (optional accessory) to power my cameras directly from the card. My emails to Lorex (strategicvista) have not been returned yet.

As the other reviewer stated it will not work on XP SP3. Same exact error. Google revealed more of the same. This install was on a brand new pc with nothing other then the OS installed. I cant seem to locate any kind of support. If its not an OS issue their may be a compatability issue with the Core Duo or SATA drives. Either way it needs to be addressed by the manufacturer.

I got this cable for my Alienware M15x laptop. I was surprised it'd didn't come with an HDMI and was not familiar with displayport. I got this cable so I could watch my movie files while on vacation. The adapter works great and is very well made. The part that plugs into the data port has a positive locking system which is nice. The quality is also very good and it feels substantial and well put together.

Additional info. For me (as mentioned in the comments below), in order to send the audio through the HDMI cable, you will need to get into the "sound and Audio devices" of the control panel and change the sound playback Default Device to the displayport cable. If you don't the sound will come out the laptop speakers or whatever speakers you have hooked up to the laptop.

Just a quick update. I've been using this cable on and off for a while and it still works just fine. More and more hotels have nice TV's with HDMI in plugs so I can play my movies from my laptop which is nice.

I just wanted to mention that although the photo of the adapter may look like a USB at first glance IT'S NOT, it IS a DisplayPort male end you are seeing. This is a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, just like the title says. I see too many people giving this item bad reviews because they made the mistake of ordering it thinking it is a USB to HDMI. It isn't. The title and description is correct. I'm not saying I've never ordered the wrong thing by mistake but I can't say I'd blame Amazon for my mistake.

I was a bit disappoint to see my new Dell laptop come with DP++ (DisplayPort++) output instead of HDMI. I connected the laptop with this adapter to a 6ft HDMI cable directly into my 1080p Phillips flatscreen. Everything comes through perfect with sound. The "locking" design to keep the cable in performs as well as it should. I'm fully satisfied with this adapter because it works.

I bought this to run 3 monitors on an ATI 5770. I thought I could use a passive adapter since I did not need dual-link DVI on the monitor I was connecting it to (since it was only 1920x1200). However, it turns out that you NEED an ACTIVE ADAPTER if you want to run 3 monitors. Yes, this will work if you want to run two monitors but in order for the ATI 5770 to be able to output to 3 monitors, one must be NATIVE DisplayPort and it seems that a passive adapter is not considered "native" because when using a passive adapter, it does not actually output a native DisplayPort signal. To convert a native DisplayPort signal to DVI, an active adapter is required.

Additional info: It seems the 5000 series cards have two RAMDACs so they can only output two signals that require a RAMDAC. A native DisplayPort signal does not require a RAMDAC. Because of the two RAMDAC limitation, the only way to get three monitors is to use a native DisplayPort signal because it doesn't require a RAMDAC. Passive converters DO NOT convert native DisplayPort signals and THEREFORE REQUIRE the use of a RAMDAC. Because only 2 RAMDACs are available, a passive adapter, which requires another RAMDAC, won't work for 3 monitor setups.

This little DisplayPort (DP) to DVI adapter works great on my Lenovo T-series notebook. I highly recommend this if you want to use a large monitor but don't like the limitations of the VGA port.

Turn-key ProAm USA 8 ft to 12 ft DVC200 Camera Crane Production Package

4.5 stars on the non-HDMI monitor and I would have gladly paid for the optional locking arm but everthing else is a 5 star. Everything is solidly built and looks just as good as it performs. The set up time is nothing and it is simple. This looks great in front of clients when they see you are using professional gear instead of homebuilt jokes. It came with everything advertised and nothing wiggles or has any slop. The bag is large enough to include my tripod dolly and there is a face pocket large enough to fit lots of cables in.

I would suggest using a tripod dolly to move it around and a motorized tripod head with extended cable so you can pan and track while the crane is locked. I am really glad I bought this as a kit instead of trying to fool around with a regular tripod or get by with less.

If you are a serious player in the video industry and you have a desire for shooting great videos, than the DVC250 is a must. This camera crane case package has allowed me to produce some stunning shots where otherwise I could not. Having the advantage of reaching great heights, literally, I was able to shoot video in great angles where only ladders could have helped before. The 10" screen, which I attached to the right side of the tripod, enabled me to see what I was shooting without any strain or effort. The zoom controller, that attaches on the tripod, controls the zooming, and power on/off of the camera. This eliminates the guessing as to what you are shooting. You have total control on what you are shooting and the angles and movement of the crane. All this can be done with a one man crew. If you balance the weights on the "jib", you literally can move the whole crane with your fingers. There is absolutely no resistance to aim low or high to get the right angle for your shots. I specialize in corporate, small business and real estate videography. To be different from your competition, you must have the advantage of shooting great videos. This ProAm Camera Crane is very well built, stable and easy to maneuver. I will recommend this package to anyone who is serious about great videos.

It is very easy to assembly and use but I had a few issues after few uses. I needed an allen key to always fasten the joiners. It looks like the PD170 is a bit heavy on it as it always lean to the right a bit making my shots a slight skewed. Overall I am happy with for the price but not sure about its durability especially since I am shooting every week and I always need an allen key foo it, I am wondering if those screws will not give in soon.

This was an excellent purchase for us.

We received the wrong LCD monitor but we called BC and they gladly helped us upgrade and replace the HD monitor.

The crane works fantastic.

We've been using it consistently since we received it and have had only one tiny problem with a screw but again, we contacted BC and the replaced it.

I have a Panasonic 32" 720p LCD. This cable was brilliantly long and I was a fan of Belkin products. Unfortunately, this cable led to white flashes associated with video and audio skips when I connected it to my laptop. I wouldn't recommend it!

I purchased this and an Atlona AT-HDVIEW VGA to HDMI Scaler to connect computer to big screen TV for conference room. The image initially displayed but with a lot of horizontal static, after ~30 seconds the screen would go blank. I switched to the cable included with the scaler and it worked like a champ. I highly recommend the AT-HDVIEW, I have used it in several applications with cables up to 50 foot with no problems until this Belkin cable.

Bought this cable to connect my PC to my tv. Connection was made, but cable coudn't even transfer standard res DVD without having the video skip. I checked the DVD playback on the PC and no problems there. Trying to stream standard def video was even worse. Video AND audio skipped. Very disappointing.
