I ordered the camera for a college photography class. I debated whether to get a canon or a nikon as well. For the money this camera is an exceptional buy. I would have spent much more money on a Canon or Nikon equivalent. The weather resistant lens and camera body are a real plus for anyone who spends anytime outside. I highly reccomend the buyer and the camera. Shipped to an APO in less than a week (I am currently in Afghanistan).
