InFocus Work Big IN32 DLP Projector- 5.2 lbs.

InFocus Work Big IN32 DLP Projector- 5.2 lbs.Picture-wise, this is a nice projector, however whoever designed the audio support was asleep at the wheel. Although there are multiple source inputs for a computer and a DVD/VCR, there is only one audio input. Why should you have to fiddle with adapters to cheat multiple audio inputs? In addition, to adjust the audio volume through the projector, you have to navigate through a couple sub-menus from an on screen display.

How many remotes have you seen without a volume control? Excuse me?

If Infocus was creating a component projector designed for use with external audio components or if they were just being cheap they could have had marketing cleverly say so from the beginning, but no just tout the bright image and stay silent about a major design flaw and why not? This model has to be a embarrassment and just another example of poor piece of sophisticated technology destined for the trash heap thanks to a business that has moved on to something else while leaving us holding the bag.

Sony Alpha SLT-A65 Translucent Mirror Technology Digital SLR Camera Body & 18-55mm Lens with 75

Sony Alpha SLT-A65 Translucent Mirror Technology Digital SLR Camera Body & 18-55mm Lens with 75-300mm Zoom Lens + 32GB Card + Battery + Filter + Case + Tripod + Telephoto & Wide-Angle Lens + Accessory KitWow, what a fast camera! But read reviews of the camera itself if you're wanting more on that topic :)

I just have some quick comments on this particular package. As of today the cost of this entire kit (even with $20 shipping) is less than the cost of buying just the camera and one lens from Amazon, so in some ways all the other components are "free," which makes it a great deal. That said, some of the components are better than others:

Sony Alpha SLT-A65 Translucent Mirror Technology Digital SLR Camera Body & 18-55mm Lens --> did I mention this camera was fast? I also find it more intuitive than either the Canon T4i or Nikon 5100

Sony Alpha 75-300mm Zoom Lens --> the lenses tend to vary the most from one package to another. This one is rated fairly well, and seems to work just fine

Sony LCS-SC8 DSLR Camera Case --> it's decent, and as of today it sells for $43ish on Amazon. The instructions warn that it will bleed onto your clothes if it gets wet, but it seems to have fairly sturdy construction and will hold one camera, a couple of lenses, and has a couple of side pouches for other things (one in front is solid and has a zipper, but the two side pouches are just mesh pockets). The interior pouch has (strong) velcro, so you can tweak the size of the internal compartments as needed

Transcend 32GB Class10 SD Card --> that's a slooooooooooow class 10, at 25 MB/s. The SanDisk class 10 is 45 MB/s

Spare NP-FM500H Battery --> not a Sony battery, but I haven't used it much so can't comment on it otherwise

Vivitar 55mm UV Glass Filter --> not much to say about this... I put it on and it seems to be fine

Additional Vivitar 55mm UV Glass Filter --> (same)

Zeikos Wireless Remote Control --> the really simple kind, with just a single button that you can press partway or all the way down. You have to aim it at the front of the camera (left side, if you're looking at the front). To make your camera "listen" for the remote, you have to press Function > Drive and then it's the last choice (this is the same place you go to turn on fast continuous-mode or slow continuous-mode shooting)

PD 2x Tele & .45x Wide Lens --> MISSING altogether! The receipt said it was back-ordered, and the seller mailed it to me maybe 3 weeks after everything else arrived. I haven't tested these at all.

Precision Design 57" Tripod --> the PD-58 PVTR, to be precise. Currently sells for $15ish on Amazon, and has a 3-star rating. I can't stand it--it's not sturdy enough to hold this camera and the 75-300mm lens in position--no matter how much you tighten the knobs, it slowly drifts downward, and ruins your shot. I wish they would have made the kit cost $4 more and included the Targus Digital TG-6660TR 66-Inch tripod instead--it's also cheap, but much better than this one :(

PD SDHC Memory Card Reader --> A simple one, for SD/SDHC/MMC cards (no micro or mini) on one end, and a USB port on the other... plus a USB extension cord in case the base is otherwise too chunky to plug into your computer (depending on how your computer's USB ports are positioned). Quite simple and works just fine.

PD 6pc Complete Cleaning Kit --> fairly basic, has a decent case to store everything in

PD Memory Card Storage Wallet --> it's tiny, maybe 2 inches by 2 inches, with three pouches that easily fit one memory card in each, though you could probably put 2 in and mayyyyybe three

LCD Monitor Screen Protectors --> cutting them to size is tricky and a bit annoying, though they do have 1-millimeter lines printed on them to help you cut straight lines. If you cut these in half, you can get 6 out of this set of 3 for the Alpha SLT-A65 camera. They do seem to add a tiny bit of glare, and those bubbles are really hard to work out, but the extra protection from scratches is probably worth it

Again: the camera is great, and since all of the above are basically "free" compared to the cost of buying the same camera with lenses elsewhere, it's fantastic. Just double-check your order for completeness when it arrives, and consider buying a separate SanDisk class 10 memory card if speed is important to you.

This model, like some other sony dslr cameras, uses the old Minolta 'A' lense mount. This means if you have any legacy Minolta Maxxum AF lens made since 1985, they will fit! Slick move on sony's part. I've had it since june and couldn't be happier. Handled Disney World with ease. No malfunctions, knock on wood. Cannon and Nikon are just now offering the resolution that is anywhere close to this camera. Action shots are no problem! This thing is rapid fire when you want to capture the action.

Tripp Lite P568-050-EZ Easy Pull HDMI Monitor Cable w/ Connectors - 50ft

Tripp Lite P568-050-EZ Easy Pull HDMI Monitor Cable w/ Connectors - 50ftThis Cable could not deliver a good signal at the other end for the projector. I will have to return it.

Although this product will fit into 2 inch electrical conduit (which the dummy who installed the av system in my house 3 years ago decided to use), it will not make it around a 90 degree bend in that tubing. The connector on the end is still to big/stiff. I'll have to drill open the wall at the corner, take out the corner and feed this through.

JVC GR-D350 MiniDV Camcorder w/32x Optical Zoom

JVC GR-D350 MiniDV Camcorder w/32x Optical ZoomA friend purchased the camera for his wife, and we used it to record the progress we made in renovating a duplex. Knowing nothing about mini dv's at the time, I was able to pick up this fun little toy and get to recording right away.

I enjoyed it so much that I bought the same model for my wife, who is adverse to technology, and she loves it too.

I've played with other models and brands of recorder, and I still like the JVC 350 because it has fairly high quality coupled with intuitive controls and camera functions that do all the work. I also got it for a great price compared to other brands with similar features.

I like this camcorder because it is small, lightweight and travels easily. Neat little featureyou can take snapshots while recording video. I'm very happy with the optical zoom. The only downfallno separate charger for the battery so the camera has to be plugged in to charge it, which is very limiting. On the upsideit charges quickly.

Being a camcorder novice I liked this item. Fit my needs for recording family memories. Just recently got it for trip to WDW. So nice and compact, a delight to carry around since it fit in one of my purse pockets. At the end of a day @ Disney World you appreciate compact & lightweight. Video looks great. Oh and I got it cheaper here @ Amazon.com than @ local Wal-mart.

Aputure Wireless Gigtube II Remote Trigger Cable Release with LCD Display, GWII-N2, fits Nikon D3x,

Aputure Wireless Gigtube II Remote Trigger Cable Release with LCD Display, GWII-N2, fits Nikon D3x, D3s, D3, D4, D300s, D90, D3100, D3200, D5100, D5200, D7000Gigtube Wireless-II is a nice product. I use it on my Nikon D90.

The pros:

1. It is actually works at 100m range (out door at open area).

2. the Video transmission is better then the previous type (the GW-I).

3. it has minicam, so you can use it even with out DSLR camera, just turn it on and you will have a wireless (poor resolution) minicam. It is fun when you put the transmitter on balloon or kite :)

Minuses:

1. Built-in memory is for mini-cam only. I was expecting this unit can store up to 100 shots from my camera but it is not! The only picture that you can save in the built-in memory is from the poor quality mini-cam lens.

2. Video control (start and stop) is NOT working on Nikon Camera. The manual book states that it is only works on Canon.

I seemingly tired everything to make this work, the mini-cam works well but I wanted Live View and that was the problem. It connected well, and I was able easily match to channels, and I tried them all to see if one would work better than the other. The unfortunate result was that the image on the screen in live view was either so blurry that it was unusable or it simply said "no image". I made sure the charge the batteries again, took it to a place with no potential interference, tried all channels, etc. But nothing made any difference on my Nikon D7000. It simply acted like the wireless connection was too weak. I contacted customer support for the product but thus far I have not received an answer. I have decided that either I have a faulty unit, or more likely the unit is just not up to the task advertised. I am returning the product.

Samsung SCD67 MiniDV Digital Video Camcorder with 2.5" LCD, Picture in Picture, & Digital Still Cap

Samsung SCD67 MiniDV Digital Video Camcorder with 2.5' LCD, Picture in Picture, & Digital Still CapabilityI actually originally purchased a JVC digital camcorder. I should have listened to the other Amazon reviewers and steered clear of that one, as within an hour of use, it stated that it needed head cleaning, and wouldn't operate.

This Samsung camcorder replaced that one the day after I purchased the JVC, and I am very pleased. The picture and sound quality are great, and it is very easy to download the video to my iMac via firewire. I'm not sure how well (or if) it would work on a PC, so you may want to investigate whether it will work with your system.

About the only thing that keeps this camera from getting 5 stars is I have had difficulty trying to retrieve still photos when the camera is connected to the computerbut then I haven't fully read the manual, so it could be very simple.

Basically this is a great camera, and it's not much more expensive than a high-quality digital still camera. If you enjoy having multiple-use products as much as I do, this is a great bet.

I purchased the Samsung SCD-67 for all of it's great features and low price. I was very pleased until I needed warrany service to fix a broken firewire (IEEE1394) port. I called Samsung support for 3 weeks before speaking to someone knowledgable enough to ascertain it was a true problem (his name is Mike . . he's the only one there who knows anything about this camera). I mailed it to CVE for warranty repair. 4 weeks later I started calling to inquire. After 2 weeks of calling, I finally got through to learn that the unit could not be repaired and would be replaced with a refurbished unit. The camera had 45 minutes of use on it when I sent it for repair and I get a refurbished unit in exchange? What kind of warranty is that? I submitted a Better Business Burea complaint. I'd encourage others to do the same. You can submit the claim online...Just look up Samsung in Mt. Arlington, NJ.

I will never buy another Samsung product again. Buyer Beware!

After downloading the manual from the Samsung web site and seeing that it support the Mac OS I decided to try this camera. The camera specs are great but I had problems with the camera. First off, it has a real SLOW focus and there were times the system picked up on foreground objects and tried to focus on them. Not a bad thing but it takes about 3-5 seconds for objects to come into focus.

The second problem is the IEEE-1394 port does not work with the Macintosh. After 4 calls to Samsung tech support I got the promised call back about Macintosh compatibility. They recommended a few windows programs for the data import. The 5 call into them they admitted the SCD67 did not work with a Macintosh. If you plan to use this camera with iMovie or Final Cut Pro get a different camera. The applications can not even see the camera. I tried 4 or 5 other IEEE-1394 capture applications on the Mac and none could pull data from the camera.

The power switch broke after 180 minutes of video. I am unable to turn the camcorder off. It's the switch that goes from, "camera-off-player". In the official review, it notes that the switch is flimsy. I should have listened.

In addition my camera has problems keeping date/time settings. It will revert back to Jan 1, 2001 often. During the use of the camera with the first 3 tapes, I've had to reset the date/time over 15 times.

After researching for months I found this great machine. It is easy to use and a awesome price. Why bother with features you will never use, I already own a great digital camera (Canon Powershot S100)and basically wanted a camcorder for video. If your looking for a great looking cam at a good price search no more Samsung is the way to go. Great job Samsung!!!!!

Foscam FI8904W Outdoor Wireless/Wired IP Camera - 3 Pack

Foscam FI8904W Outdoor Wireless/Wired IP Camera - 3 PackIt was touch & go to start with. Could not get it to work for like three days. my son-n-law came to take a look. It took him two days but he got it up and running. I put them up at our vaction home. Now I check every day to see whats up at the beach. They record when they detect movement. There is a begal a cat that run thourgh the yard form time to time. Anyway not very user frindly to put in but once it is up and running Alsome. Its nice to keep an eye on the vaction house from home. And i can tell when the grass needs to be cut.

I actually love my camera's! The picture quality is fantastic! I would have given them five stars but the mounts could be much better. Great camera but terrible mount. That makes no sense to me. Easy enough to fix/change if you the least bit handy yourself.

Have 4 of these around the house and hardly ever an issue. Like most have said the brackets that come with it are crap so go buy a $10 mount and u will be totally happy. Easy config all 4 were up within 15 minutes. People that complain about setup must not know a single thing about there one network and honestly should probably not run one but have someone do it for them. Again love them thinking of buying another three pack to replace the dlink dcs3420 that I have that are 4 years old

I'm not very happy with my purchase. I had previously bought three of the model FI8905W. I wish I bought more of them instead of buying model FI8904W. The main issue is that I have not been able to make them work on my dns website. They work fine with Blue Iris, but I can't view them on the web like the other ones. The other thing I did not like about these ones is that you can only mount them from underneath. The other ones have mounting options from the top or the bottom. I wanted this model because it is a wider viewing angle, but the 9105s were so much easier to set up. I wish I'd picked up more of those instead.

Want Foscam FI8904W Outdoor Wireless/Wired IP Camera - 3 Pack Discount?

Did have problems with one that took a couple of weeks to resolve. Ended up, with Foscam support on the phone, to determine there was a problem with the wireless. Foscam does not pay for return shipping. Noticed while this was going on that the serial number of the camera did not match the box. Makes me think the company is re-shipping returns. Did not appreciate that. Replacement camera works fine.

It appears this style camera is sold under different brand names. (I've tried a couple of others) Foscam brand seems to be the best. Instruction manual needs to be written better for all of them. To get full functionality of the software you have to use Internet Explorer (32 bit) and allow ActiveX. Don't like that. Software was obviously written by programmers and not driven by consumer. A major complaint is that when you get ready to leave the house and want to activate the camera alarm, you have to log into each camera to arm it. There needs to be a central piece of software that you can click to activate the motion alarm on all cameras in the network.

Setup is fairly simple if all you want is a live picture. I would suggest you give the camera a static IP address so every time there is a router reset (power dip) you will get the same IP address again. If you want to have remote access then you will have to learn a little networking to set up port forwarding. You can use a company server that is in the far east somewhere for remote access. I choose not to do that. I access the cameras via remote by direct IP address.

Over all I am fairly satisfied with the Foscam brand camera. It would be better if it were more of a wide angle. I will give Foscam a thumbs up for support. My experience is other brands have no, or hard to reach, support.

AT-HDPIX2. This New Solution Is Designed To Add A HDmi Port To Any Computer (mac

AT-HDPIX2. This New Solution Is Designed To Add A HDmi Port To Any Computer (macI've been researching on a way to connect my HP 600 All-In-One computer to my LG 55" 1080p LED TV when I stumbled upon this product on Amazon.

First off, you're thinking, "why don't you just plug the HP via HDMI/DVI/mini Display Port to your TV?" Well, mister, I would have done that if any of these ports were present on the aforementioned HP. Alas, no love...

Thankfully, I found this bad boy while mulling over other solutions like the Cables Unlimited Wireless USB to HDMI and VGA Adapter with Audio which had the advantage of being wireless. However, the max resolution for the product was something to be desired (i.e., 720p), the units getting hot after hours of use and the line-of-sight issue scared me a bit. Since my HP All-In-One would not be utilized as a portable device and at a close distance to the HDTV, the Atlon AT-HDPIX2 seemed like the perfect solution for me.

I plugged the Atlona and Windows 7 quickly looked for and installed the right drivers (i.e., the current DisplayLink software). Then, my TV displayed my computer desktop in extended mode at 1920 x 1080 automatically due to the built-in Extended display identification data (EDID) technology. Nevertheless, this resolution cut off anything I put on the TV whenever I expanded a program or browser in full screen mode. I had to turn off both the PC and HDTV in order to disable the EDID button so I can choose the viewing option which worked best on my TV. This resulted in the max resolution that was around 1650 x 1050.

Outside of the headache in finding the right settings to use, I'm very happy with this lil' product. I'm now able to use my HDTV as a second monitor instead of having to purchase an additional HTPC (the cheapest ones I've seen cost way too much for what you get a not-so-powerful Atom processor and sorry-ash video card) or use my Sony Vaio laptop via wired HDMI every time I want to stream the Net on my LG. Also, the ability to QUICKLY choose between projector mode, extended mode and mirrored mode as well as the flexibility in changing resolution settings with EDID off make this a keeper.

Try this out if you are planning to use a NON-portable computer that doesn't have HDMI technology as an HTPC without sacrificing resolution quality. If you do have a laptop or netbook that has an HDMI port and want to splurge a little more because you don't like wires, why not get the ASUS WiCast EW2000 Wireless HD Video Transmitter and Receiver? Otherwise, the Atlona AT-HDPIX2 is waiting for you! :p

If you are planning to use this for a Mac, I would think again. I was unable to get it up and running on a Mac Mini running OSX 10.6.4 after hours of tech support and trouble shooting. The final answer was "we don't support mac". The bottom line is that Atlona farms out the mac drivers to a separate company "displaylink", which seems to be doing an inadequate job, and has no phone support. I suggest looking for a better alternative......

Buy AT-HDPIX2. This New Solution Is Designed To Add A HDmi Port To Any Computer (mac Now

The product did not work as promised. The picture quality is poor. I had talked to their technical expert prior to placing order and described set up in full details to get his opinion as to whether the product will work satisfactorily and was assured it will. However, the quality of the picture was bad on full screen. The quality was OK ( but still below par) with a smaller size picture. It seems that I did not get reliable information from their technical department. I ended up returning the product at my expense and had to pay their restocking fee too. It would have saved me frustration and money if the technical advisor had told me that the product is not suitable for 70" TV.

This item worked brilliantly. This product uses one usb cable to get audio and video from your computer to display to an HDMI TV. I had no issues with the setup and it does require a reboot once the drivers are installed on the computer. The sound is good and the video is great. It may be a bit pricey but it is an easy solution to get computer video and sound to your tv.

I was looking for a USB to HDMI converter for a long time that would support 1080p. When i walked into Fry's Electroics out here in California I notice this Product on the shelf, and it offer true 1080p. And as a consumer I like to enjoy new toy's that comes out in todays world, Very easy to install with very easy instructions and a mini CD disc and a 6' HDMI cable and the converter. From my Computer to my 42" Vizio with a 240 refreash rate the ATLONA AT-HDPIX2 is the BEST in 1080p yet that I have found. Because of the Awsome Quality of this Product, I have told this to alot of my friends about this Product, One friend in Rancho Cucumonga, Ca. has a Power Mac G4 and after he came to my home and saw it for him self, He went out on line and Purchust the same AT-HDPIX2 to have it to his 60" Samsung LED TV. My uncle has a Dell Inspiron E1505 Laptop and he wanted the same thing to his 50" TV by LG, So I noticed Amazon had it also and for a Better Price then Fry's Electronics and I ordered it through my account for him. From time of Purches to my Door step was very happy for the Promped Service and Now 3 of my closest Friends have the same thing and Enjoy A Good Movie from their Computer. From a Scale of 1 to 10 I would give this Product a 9+ for it's Preformance and Clearness. Thanks Amazon. Looking forward to my next purchuse to help out another friend.

JVC GR-SXM520U Palm Size Compact Super VHS Camcorder With LCD Monitor

JVC GR-SXM520U Palm Size Compact Super VHS Camcorder With LCD MonitorI really like this machine. The owner's manual is good and the features are useful. For VHS-C format, one has the option of standard-play for 30 minutes of recording or extended-play for 90 minutes of recording. The night vision feature is good I recorded shots in almost total darkness and the camera made it look like the lights were normal in the room. The LCD screen is really good so that the user can use it for shooting or for playback viewing. The zoom freaked me out at how sharp the picture could be at about 50 or so yards. The price seems okay and this camera is a pretty good deal for my purposes anyway.

it is very difficult to tell but i think it good
