I bought 6 projectors and in just under 60 days, 3 of them died. There is a fatal design flaw in this projector related to heat. The color wheel assembly goes crazy and stops working. HORRIBLE.

Edit: There is no dust filter on these and apparently if they accumulate enough dust they will refuse to turn on. This is probably a fire prevention feature but how hard is it to include a dust filter??? Cleaning out the dust solves the problem but in my opinion a $.10 filter would eliminate the problem altogether.

This product projects GREAT, and looks GREAT, unfortunately, It hasn't even gone through one bulb yet (I've had it almost 2 years) but it HAS gone through 2 color wheels. Apparently their is a problem with the heat displacement or something, but ya, I had to install a color wheel myself, and now, 4 months later, it is doing the same thing, the part is only 30 dollars, but you have to open it up and do a repair that most people would NOT be able to do themselves. I have never tried another projector, but in my opinion, I would avoid this one.

Having used this model for about a month now, I have to say excellent picture quality and I love all the input options available. The only strange note I have about it is that the manual claims no 1080i support, however all Blu-Ray movies WILL play in 1080i; not that I'm complaining! Works well with PS3s and 360s. Unfortunately it stretches older software due to screen resolution, but that really can't be helped. Overall, extremely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this unit to others.

I have had this GT720 for about 3 weeks now. It is AMAZING! If you are considering buying it, just do so because I seriously doubt you will regret it. Hooked up to it currently is an Xbox360, a Philips HTS6600 Home Theater, a WD TV Live Plus HD media player, and a Viewsonic Tablet G. I have all of this hooked up through an HDMI switch. I really have no other projectors to compare this one to but I honestly do not need anything else to compare it to. I did a few weeks of research into projectors, but for the price this is a great short throw! In the daytime, the picture is still clear. Obviously at night, it is mind-blowing. All my friends and girlfriend are unbelievably impressed. The short throw projects at 100"-110" from 7 feet away. Perfect for storage on the 2nd shelf of my coffee table. So like I said before if you are considering this projector 1) for the price, 2) for the quality, 3) for the short-throw, this is the one for you!!

This is the first projector I've ever bought and its worked great. It's been about three years now and I'm shopping for my first replacement bulb.

I was really excited to see a camera with a built in projector and first saw the older S1000 on Amazon for half price of the newer s1100pj.

I first bought the newer camera because it has a brighter Projector up to 14 lumis compared to up to 10 lumis of light projection on the older camera.

I also liked the newer features such as Fisheye effect and 720p high difinition video recording.

When amazon dropped the the price on the older camera s1000pj ($129.00) I decided to buy it and compare it to the newer version s1100pj and here are the results.

The newer camera sucks at $309.00.

First of all I had trouble getting the touch screen to respond when looking at my photos. The projector brightness doesn't look better then the older camera.

The 3 inch view screen on the new camera remains on when projecting which is very annoying. The only way to shut off the viewer screen on the camera is when using the remote control.

The fisheye effect is not fisheye at all. It's Nikon's way of adding a strange effect (Non-Adjustable) on photos already taken and cannot be used when shooting 16 X 9 photos or with Video recording.

The older s1000pj is the only way to go.

There's no touch screen which is better in my opinion and the Viewer screen on the camera automatically shuts off when using the projector.

The brightness on the wall looks about the same as the newer camera's projector.

The focus adjustment is a knob on the newer camera and a slider control on the older camera. Both are easy to use.

Even the battery compartment on the older camera is more user friendly.

I was having trouble removing the battery on the new camera as it would not drop out without the need of shaking the camera.

Also, the description failed to mention that if you use the projector for a few minutes you must wait for the camera to cool for about 30 minutes before you can resume taking pictures so keep that in mind if you're at a party.

The result is buy the older s1000pj Nikon camera. You will save money and have a better camera.

I have owned Nikon SLRs and own a Nikon D-SLR and wanted a smaller camera to take on shorter business trips and into places where SLRs camera are not always convenient or allowed. I had seen the videos/promos for this camera and wanted this before it even came out. I ordered via OneCall (one of Amazon's partners) on the first day it was available and so far I'm impressed. The touch screen works really well, menus are very obvious, picture quality is very acceptable for a point-and-shoot, video quality is very nice, battery life is acceptable (I ordered a spare battery as I have a history of taking many photos) and of course there is the projector, which most of you want to know about. In daylight it works well on a 8x11 size background from 1 to 2 feet away. Anything further away or colored background are not ideal in daylight. In a darker to dark room, you can actually go quite big, much bigger compared to stated, with reasonable quality. Obviously, the closer to the wall, the better the quality, but remember that this is just a very small projector, and it's built into a camera and not a stand-alone device or intended to be a stand-alone projector. Battery life suffers quickly using the projector and I wish they would not display the "battery low" indicator on the projected image, but that's how it works.

Drawing on images while projected does not work as smooth as in the promos and the provided stylus is a better tool for this compared to using your fingers.

Have to yet test it as a projector on a PC but assume this to be similar compared to projecting images.

Overall it lived up to my expectations. Nikon has a gem with this one, and after testing the S1000pj at a retail store, it seems like quite an improvement over last year's model. It's a good camera and for a geek like me, it's also a sweet gadget.

Shortly after receiving this camera the shutter button/zoom switch became problematic. I contacted Amazon and they replaced it, no questions asked. Kudos to Amazon's excellent customer service. The second camera developed the same problem after six months, obviously a design flaw. Amazon then referred us to Nikon customer service and gave us a $30 gift certificate for our troubles. Since then, dealing with Nikon's customer service has been a nightmare for an obviously flawed product. The denied any fault and said Amazon probably dropped the boxes the cameras were stored in and have insisted that we pay $84.00 to repair the camera. They also refused to allow us to speak to a manager or some higher authority. Feeling like we had not other choice, we agreed to pay the $84.00 to repair this $300+ camera. That was four months ago, they have not received the part for the repair as yet and we are without a camera. It remains to be seen when and how this will be resolved. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA and Nikon obviously does not value it customers as evidenced by its very POOR customer service.

The projector is 14 lumens but is not as powerful or as big a pk102 which is 11 lumens. Connecting it to a PC requires installing a software using a CD they provide. The projection lags a lot on a netbook. You have to switch the settings of the camera every time you want to change from uploading photos to computer and using the computer as a projector. The whole camera is pretty big in size compared to regular digital cameras but can't complain on a device with a built-in projector. The camera has some pretty nice features, though some requires the user manual to help you find out what they do. The flash is very powerful and there is a touch to focus/exposure on taking pictures. Not on video though, unfortunately. The touch screen sometimes lags a little and requires more pressure than smartphones such as the iPhone. Overall, not bad.

The touch screen is not as sensitive as I would like it to be without using the stylus. Whenever I'm trying to change settings or go to the next picture, it doesn't wan't to respond when I try to move it accross the screen... unless I press harder than normal. Maybe I'm just too used to the iPod Touches screen.

The projector is very nice, but it has to be pretty dark to be "very nice". It's really nice to be able to show off your pictures or videos on up to a 47" screen instead of everyone huddling around you and the tiny camera screen right after you took a picture or something.

Overall, this is a very worthy camera and I highly recommend it. Picture quality is great and it takes 720p High Definition video. Also, the sound quality is pretty good as well. If I could, I'd give this camera a 4 1/2 star rating.

Gigtube Wireless-II is a nice product. I use it on my Nikon D90.

The pros:

1. It is actually works at 100m range (out door at open area).

2. the Video transmission is better then the previous type (the GW-I).

3. it has minicam, so you can use it even with out DSLR camera, just turn it on and you will have a wireless (poor resolution) minicam. It is fun when you put the transmitter on balloon or kite :)

Minuses:

1. Built-in memory is for mini-cam only. I was expecting this unit can store up to 100 shots from my camera but it is not! The only picture that you can save in the built-in memory is from the poor quality mini-cam lens.

2. Video control (start and stop) is NOT working on Nikon Camera. The manual book states that it is only works on Canon.

I seemingly tired everything to make this work, the mini-cam works well but I wanted Live View and that was the problem. It connected well, and I was able easily match to channels, and I tried them all to see if one would work better than the other. The unfortunate result was that the image on the screen in live view was either so blurry that it was unusable or it simply said "no image". I made sure the charge the batteries again, took it to a place with no potential interference, tried all channels, etc. But nothing made any difference on my Nikon D7000. It simply acted like the wireless connection was too weak. I contacted customer support for the product but thus far I have not received an answer. I have decided that either I have a faulty unit, or more likely the unit is just not up to the task advertised. I am returning the product.

Sony HDR-CX110 High-Definition Handycam Camcorder

I was looking to replace my JVC Everio, that had a 60GB hard drive in it. I loved the convenience of the hard drive, since that replaced an older unit I had that used the small tape cartridges. But the prices for the HD capable units are more than I was willing to pay for a camcorder, so looked at the units that just used memory sticks.

I have the Sony DSC-TX1 digital camera and was blown away by its optical quality, and it even took 720p movies which were just insanely clearer than my 1 year old JVC camcorder. That was when I realized I needed to lose the JVC. Almost all the movies I do are of my son, now 6 years old, so the better the quality the happier I would be. Too many artifacts with the low definition JVC, panning was just ugly ugly ugly, and while it had a great response in low light, the picture quality was just not what I wanted considering how good everything else with my TV and still camera.

I was initially going to get the 100 version of this, since it was so insanely cheap for a 1080 capable camcorder, but the bad low light capability put me off, since most of what I record is in my house. And the very low numbers for optical zoom also concerned me. But amazon conveniently puts little links under the initial product listing if there's a new version, so I saw the 110 and the price was good. I did some digging on Sony's site, somewhat confused that the cheap little 100 had 16GB built in but the higher end had none, but when I saw the rest of the specs in comparison, I felt it was a very good unit to give a test run with. My local brick and mortars didn't have it in stock, so I ordered it from Amazon and got the Saturday delivery early on Saturday, plenty of time to charge it up and try it out.

I left all settings at default except for the quality setting. That was easy to find, and the touchscreen on this unit makes it very easy to operate. As with my sony still camera, it has a "user" screen too where you can pin the six most used functions to save you from having to navigate into submenus. I love this feature, as it made my touchscreen still camera so simple and quick to use.

So I did four test movies, all of the same thing (my 6 year old playing with a huge Geotrax set), at all four of the options for 1080p resolution. The camera is smaller than I had expected, very light and fits well in the hand. The only real buttons to deal with in normal operation are the zoom and the start/stop recording, which are placed well despite the small size of the unit. If you want to grab a still as well, which you can do while recording, that button is on top right behind the zoom, so it's easy to get at. So use is great, no problems.

As I said, touch screen menu is great, so changing settings as I went was a piece of cake.

Started with the highest 24Mbps, then the next down (I think it was 17Mbps), then the "default" one they start you out at, 9Mbps, then the lowest. When I was done, I pulled the card out (nice, quick access on the bottom with a great, sturdy, hinged door). Went into my macbook pro just fine, and i started playback.

I have a 13" macbook pro, the aluminum unibody, that I got about four months ago. So new core2 duo processor, nvidia 9400 graphics... And it could not play the highest or second highest quality movies raw... Which told me that they were going to be great on my windows 7 media center. The third and fourth files played, but since the laptop is not a 1080 screen, it didn't look that good. So I went ahead and pulled the memory card out of the laptop, put it in my Dell Zino that runs my beautiful 46" Samsung HDTV, and played them all.

One thing I hadn't realized is that when it creates the files, it creates them in a native bluray playback format, the folder structure and all. So that should make it easy for people who will want to burn to Bluray.

Anyway, on the media center, i played the highest quality one first. And my jaw dropped, and I nearly had to go buy some adult diapers. WOW. That was all I could say or think. WOW. It was just outstanding, WAY better than I had expected. And it's not like I'm so unfamiliar with HD that even bad HD was impressive to me my first HDTV was purchased back in 1999, a huge 60" Mitsubishi diamond line TV. So I've been using HD for over 10 years now. And this just knocked my socks off.

I had nearly no artifacting or blurring or anything with the movement of the camera as I've come to expect from camcorders. Even the blurring was minimal. And the shots of things were just crystal clear. I had a 1080p version of the movie BOLT running on the TV as he played with his geotrax, so I zoomed in so that filled the viewfinder, and recorded some of the movie. During playback at that scene, I couldn't even tell it wasn't the original playing back, that it was a recording of the TV from earlier, it was that clear.

I was indoors, in Wisconsin on a winter day with snow falling, so there was no direct sunlight, just all clouds. Only one window's curtains open, and no lights turned on inside. And the clarity and lighting was excellent. Every bit I could hope for.

So I tried the next down quality, and it blew me away. As did the third and then the lowest quality. All looked stunning. When I got down to the lowest, I could see some difference between it and the highest, but for what I was, and will be, shooting (my son), I think I'll end up using the default third lowest setting because it was still jaw droppingly good on my HDTV.

I got the 16GB card since the 32GB card was still in the three digit price range, and i have a habit of transferring the files to my computer as soon as I'm done shooting anyway. And at the third quality setting, the default 9Mbps one, a 25 minute clip used just 1.9GB, so I should get about 3 1/2 hours on this card at this rate, so I'll not have to worry about running out of media for my normal use.

The display is crisp and clear, widescreen format, and not cluttered when recording. Response to touch was very good, only once when selecting something from a bottom of a menu did I have to touch it twice, since the first didn't register. Didn't take any pressure to get it to see my pressing.

The still picture while shooting video worked easily enough, but they're not great quality, so it won't replace your digital camera if you have a good one. But it may give you a decent still shot of something you would have missed otherwise...

All in all, this is waaaayyyyy better than I had expected, and more than I had even hoped for. 100% satisfied with the unit.

I can't attest to battery usage yet, since I have only had it for five hours, and only ran about 40 or 45 minutes of recording through it so far. In a few days I'll pop back in here and edit this with the results I've seen with regards to the battery life, since this is evidently the first review of this model.

This is the cheapest high-def camera from sony, has exactly the same quality and specs than the other more expensive HD handycams but it doesnt come with any memory at all (that's the catch!). I also purchased the sony pro duo 16GB mark2 memory, that provides enough space to save up to 90min on full hd (1920x1080) quality for less than $70! When I first opened the box I couldnt believe how small this camera is and I thought it would be a problem since I have big hands, but I was mistaken, I have full access to all the buttons (rec zoom mode) with only one hand. Once connected to an HDTV the recording/play back quality is amazing. Steady-shot technology makes it really easy to take great and stable shots even when zooming in and no tripod. Highly recommended!

Pros: excellent video recording quality even on low-light shots, stereo microphone array, 25x optical zoom, touch screen has good response (even for big fingers like mine!), user-friendly menus to configure settings, Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar lens, stock battery (NP-FV50) has good charge above 100mins, steady-shot works great (image stabilizer).

Cons: no memory, no case, no view-finder, no batt-only AC charger (will have to charge the battery while mounted on the camera), lcd has to be open or the camera will turn off (but you can turn the lcd 180deg, close it and that works!), no mini-HDMI to full-HDMI adapter cable.

Buy Sony HDR-CX110 High-Definition Handycam Camcorder Now

I purchased this camera a couple of weeks ago after someone I now had also picked it up. It was to replace my old Sony Hi-8 camera that recently quit working. I must say right off the bat that anyone looking to buy a starter, entry-level, low price high definition camera this is the one for you! At under two pounds, it's extremely light, compact, and portable. (Having longer fingers I almost have a hard time working the trigger and zoom.) As an entry level camera, you must be prepared for the fact that things like memory cards, cases, HDMI cables, and other bells and whistles will not come with this camera hence the low price.

What you do get is an incredible 1080 24bit HD picture that will blow you away. My first outing was to our local Desert Botanical Gardens to view and film the colorful wildflowers, cactai, and butterflies. I used the HD FX (highest quality video setting) for video, as well as taking 3meg pictures. When I returned home and viewed the footage and photos, my jaw dropped at the clarity and vivid, rich colors in beautiful 1080 on my 52" Sony TV. The details were very crisp and no artifacts were present in the movies. It was amazing.

The camera was easy to use and operate with the simple touch screens, as well as the I-Auto feature to help with the proper contrast and exposure. It was great to pick which scene you wanted without having to fast forward or rewind ever again!! The only drawbacks on the camera that I don't like are the low life battery that comes with it, as well as having to purchase your own HDMI cable separately. All in all, this is a great camera for the price!!

We really do like our Sony HDR-CX110 high def Handycam camcorder. It is easy to use and takes beautiful high def videos. Unfortunately, our camera had to be returned to Sony for repair during the 90 day warranty period. This is the description of the problem I provided to Sony with the returned camera: "When viewing door of Handycam is opened, it responds with a message: "the viewing lens cover might be closed, check the cover" regardless of whether the lens cover is open or closed. The viewing area of the screen is dark even with the lens open (not covered), but in other respects normal. It will actually record videos and take pictures but the picture and video recorded is blank/dark. Audio (when recording a video) does record and play back."

I hope the camera they return to me is more reliable. They will provide a new 90 day warranty period. I have to pay shipping to the Sony repair center but they will pay shipping when they return a functioning camera to me. Luckily the problem started just before the 90 day warranty period expired. They will cover both parts and labor. Given this experience, I would suggest purchasing an extended warranty for this camera.

Video quality on this camcorder is fantastic. I did many research and debated between Canon and Sony. I didn't like the model CX100 because of the fact that the poor quality in low light condition. I almost decided to buy canon HF200. I went to bestbuy to buy this canon. I saw this new model CX110 and bestbuy representative explained the features. This CX-110 is a major upgrade from CX100. New sensor Emos "R" and 25X optical zoom were the best one. I then decided to buy this Sony new model instead of Canon.

I am very happy about my decision. I took shots in day light and also in low night, the video is excellent. Amazon.com is very good and i got it within 4 days after placing the order.

I read the review comment of the person who rated 2 for this camcorder. I am surprised to note the reason for the low rating. Even though the specification of this camcorder clearly says no internal memory, i don't understand why people buy and rate low for their mistake.

Bottomline, my prediction is Sony will break-through and out beat other competitor in 2010 in camcorder.

Wansview NCH-536MW Wireless/Wired Pan & Tilt H.264 Megapixel IP/Network Camera with Night Vision, I

I was attracted to this camera since it's one of the very few IP cams with greater than VGA resolution.

Setup was straightforward, typical of this sort of product. Understanding networking basics helps a lot. Couldn't get video using Firefox, it tried to use a Quicktime plugin, and couldn't handle the stream. Works OK with IE though. Web server is an enhanced version of what is supplied in the Smarteye H-series camera, very straight-forward to use.

The main problem is just a profound lack of sensitivity. It is far less sensitive than a cheap Foscam I use. In dim room lighting, I get nothing in daylight mode. Totally black. Turning on IR mode, I get enough light for maybe 3-4 feet of range, with brightness cranked full up. I do have the camera mounted upside down, it's possible the IR cut filter is always active, which would explain the lack of IR performance. I'll experiment next time I have the chance.

Performance with daytime lighting is adequate, noticeably better than VGA quality. Motion detect seems inconsistent, but that seems to be common in cheap IP cameras from what I've seen.

Update after a couple more weeks of use. I was afraid I might have been a bit harsh. Not so. Motion detection is terrible, I'm using a sensitivity of 40 which gives some false alarms due to cloud movement. Camera is pointed down towards the ground from the second story, but shadows still trigger. Unfortunately, sometimes a truck can drive right through the middle of the scene, and the camera won't trigger, or won't trigger until it's already through. Also, the thing can crash when you're administering it, requiring a power cycle to recover it. Real inconvenient when it's 40 miles away.

This was originally a one-star review (see below I left the original review below this update), but in the meanwhile this camera grew on me. Finally, after a few days of begging, Service has actually replied, and sent me a firmware update (without which the camera was essentially useless). I installed the new firmware V1.4.0.1.5 and this update solved all problems I had with the camera. It works great with iSpy, and the video quality is sufficient for my purposes. It is just a pity, that the company refused to realize (despite complaints all over the web not only here on Amazon) that their camera is essentially useless with the original firmware or maybe there are other reasons why it is such a struggle for wansview to give out new firmware...?

Anyway, for me, this camera finally was a good deal, and I already bought two more to set up my home surveillance system.

I still dont want to give it more than 3 stars, because it shouldnt be necessary to go through such a struggle in order to obtain a decently working product.

The camera hardware itself is probably ok, but there are too absolute dealbreakers:

1. The camera seems to be shipped with an outdated firmware (V1.4.0.1.3), full of bugs (brightness bug as mentioned in the above review, cannot set rtps streaming port, cannot access h.264 stream via lan, etc). I looked at the Demo NCH-536MW that the company put up on their website, and the firmware version is V1.4.0.1.4. Here, brightness bug is resolved, I dont know if the stream bugs are also resolved. Furthermore, I stumbled across their downloadable user manual, showing a firmware version V2...

2. Now the crazy thing: I understand, that sometimes products are shipped out prematurely, often with (hopefully) minor bugs still lurking to be discovered. And I am also fine with doing the one or other firmware update on these products myself. But after discovering that firmware updates for this camera can not be found anywhere on the web for download, I sent a friendly request to Wansview for a firmware update. The software on my camera is buggy (similar to other users that bought this camera on Amazon just have a look on Amazon!).

The software on my camera is an older version than the software on the Demo camera on your website (my camera has software V1.4.0.1.3, the camera on your Demo site has V1.4.0.1.4 and does not have the brightness bug any more).

The software on my camera is an older version than the software shown on the user manual (user manual shows a software version of V2...).

And you cannot give me the newer version??? Are you serious???

Buy Wansview NCH-536MW Wireless/Wired Pan & Tilt H.264 Megapixel IP/Network Camera with Night Vision, I Now

The main attraction of this camera is the tradeoff between the cost and the full list of features it possesses. Comparing it to other brands it is unbeatable: for the cost you get the full featured camera: IP, Pan & tilt, WiFi, SD card, Motion detection, 2 way audio, Infrared, etc. Similar brands with the same list will cost 2X and more.

On top it has higher resolution than many other security cameras, namely HD.

It took me a while to activate it, since I am not a PC wizard, but all features of the camera worked just fine. I tried to activate them all: IR, motion detection, save into the SD card, etc.. no malfunctions. Infrared view at night was great up to about 5 meters, sound quality is reasonable. Pan and tilt are great, huge range, quiet operation.

Picture quality is not perfect, I expected somewhat better from HD, but for a security camera it is OK.

2 minor issues:

1) Infrared was turned ON all night, although I set it to AUTO. I was expecting it to be turned ON only when you access the camera or during a motion detection event.

2) When I tried to access the camera from a notebook with Windows 7 Starter operating system I could not obtain the video, although I could access the camera settings and audio. Not sure what the problem was. I guess it has to do with the ActiveX stuff (whatever that is...). Anyways: with Windows XP is works great.I did not bother to investigate it further since XP is my operating system of all my PCs.

Summary: great value for the money. I consider buy few more for my business security.

I am amazed by its clarity of video. It takes some time to set it up and get it running and I hope later on this product will be easier to configure.

But so far, this a great video monitoring product especially for the price. I highly recommend it.

Celestron 44340 LCD Digital LDM Biological Microscope

I'm pretty happy with this microscope that I purchased to use with my daughter. The screen is clear and responds to movement (rotifers) without any kind of low fps problems.

There is a distracting dark patch in the center of the LCD. The spot does not show up when you record a video, so it must be a problem with the LCD. The company has not yet replied to my support email on this subject I sent 4 days ago. Paint on the objective lens housings is worn looking and there is a scratch on the upper illuminator's plastic housing. Because of these things, the finish of the microscope has a used look.

The photo and movie recording interface is simple and easy to use. There is at least one misspelled word in a menu which makes the interface seem unprofessional. However it records acceptably. The video it creates is in the Windows .wmv format.

This is the only budget LCD microscope I was able to find through the Internet. The support structure is not metal, but appears durable. There is only one adjustment knob, but it is capable of rather fine adjustments, even at maximum resolution. Specimen adjustment has considerable range and allows for satisfactory fine tuning. Compared to viewing through stereoscopic lenses or the way-back-when single eyepiece, this is a tremendous improvement. Being able to take pictures just makes it that much better. I am very satisfied.

I had an ordinary optical "200x" microscope and saw a few shaky, interesting things in a drop of water on a glass slide, I but had no good way to take a photo. Holding a digital camera up to the eyepiece was problematic at best. I'd heard of USB microscopes that connected to a PC, such as the QX3. Checking the reviews on Amazon quickly dissuaded me from that. Then I found the Celestron 44340. It had a built-in 2MP digital camera. Images were saved to internal memory and transferred to the PC via USB cable, or to a SD card. I was also concerned about getting good images. In books like Guide to Microlife (ISBN 0-531-11266-7), there were excellent photos in darkfield illumination, as well as the usual brightfield. The Celestron 44340 did both, although darkfield only worked at the 4x and 10x objectives. I got a set of glass slides, glass cover slips, some depression slides, eyedroppers, and containers. After the summer rains, there were many places to collect samples, as well as from shorelines of rivers and lakes. I was able to successfully image in brightfield and darkfield rotifers, amoebas, flatworms, copepods, ostracods, shrimp hatchlings, vorticella, bursaria, diatoms and algae, and a variety of fast-moving ciliates. In addition to digital photos of up to 2 megapixels in size, I also recorded movies of a few seconds to a few minutes, sometimes switching between 4x magnification to 10x or 40x to get more details, and even switching between brightfield and darkfield. If I found something interesting, I could use software to extract a still image. The only CON I can think of is that when the microscope is turned off then back on, the internal date and time resets to 1/9/2031 8:00 PM, so any photos or movies taken all have that date, unless you manually set it every time.

I ended up returning this item for a replacement because it had a dark spot in the middle of the LCD. Once I received my replacement it did not have a dark spot but now there was debris internally that could not be removed. I ended up sending it back for a refund. However, I did order another style of a Celestron Microscope without the LCD screen. I give this product 3 stars because the concept and viewing options for this unit is incredible. It is also very easy to use and very lightweight. it just so happened I did not receive a "keeper".

The microscope/camera combination is great in every way except one very important feature, the top light is inadequate. It is too far away and not bright enough to light solid specimens. It does work fantastic for specimens that light can pass through.

The item that shipped is what was pictured, so no surprises there. I knew the price was really low, so I was taking a chance... and lost out. I hooked the cable up between my Droid Razr and my TV and the image was riddled with colored spots that changed appearance as I wiggled the wire. The conductors in the brand new cable were compromised. This cable is useless right out of the box! Don't bother.

Well, other reviews were about this product were correct. I ordered two cables to connect my Droid Razr to my Westinghouse TV. One worked perfectly. The other said it was connected, but you could not see anything on the screen. Amazon was great. I returned the defective cable and received a prompt return.

This cable wouldn't transfer ANY signal. Neither my TV nor transformer prime recognized the connection. Then I retested my old cable, and both ports work fine. This cable was useless. I've purchased many things from amazon, but this is the first defective product.
