Now, it's 2 months later, it has suddenly just stopped working. Plugged it into my phone...nothing. Plugged it into my daughter's phone...nothing.

I have a Motorola photon 4G. Ordered this cable to use the HDMI output from my phone to my HDTV. The cable didn't work. Sometimes I would wiggle the cable and get the Motorola logo up on my TV, then the TV would lose the signal. I tried a different TV, same issues. Just to be sure it wasn't my phone, I had a friend bring me an HDMI cable from a different manufacturer he has for his Motorola Photon 4G, and it worked on my phone. This cable is useless.

Schlage WCW100 LiNK Wireless Network Camera

This is my 3rd attempt at Internet monitoring of my home. I started with Panasonics, then moved to Logitech's WiLife system and now I've had the Schlagelink up & running for 2 months.

I abandoned the Panasonic because it was way too finicky to keep the weblink going. Constant tinkering & calls to tech support were required (tho their tech support people are tops). Their cams were pretty good with better resolution than the Schlagelink; they also feature pan & tilt, absent on the Schlage.

The WiLife looked promising, was simple to set-up & had very good resolution with both indoor & outdoor cams; these added a minimal degree of zoom to the mix. Unfortunately, they are electrically really skittish and any kind of interference knocked them out, sometimes fatally. I had bought 8 cams before I gave up.

Now the wireless Schlagelink is a bit coarser image and is essentially fixed, but it has never gone off line and looks stupendous on the iPhone app. Interestingly, while all my other Schlagelink modules (3 door locks, 3 thermostats, 3 light controllers) rely on the wireless bridge included in the starter kit, the camera runs independently of the bridge. Even better, if your wireless goes down for a bit, it will reconnect when the wireless is up again & in a pinch it can even "borrow" a neighbor's wireless if available.

I'd like to give it 4.5 stars because of the limited resolution & lack of features, but as it fully delivers what it promises, I'm going to go all the way.

This will be a quick review. A lot of people had complaints with the resolution of this camera. What happened was Schlage was limiting the resolution and really compressing the data link through the bridge in 2009-2010 for whatever reason.

In 2011 they announced at CES they will allow high resolution down-link (its now an option) @ full 640 x 480 resolution at 30 frames. The feature is now enabled and works great. The camera's resolution has greatly improved and looks much better.

Now they need to add IR, motorized, and outdoor cameras to their line up!

I have 3 of these but there is no practical use for them. easy setup. At times they become "disconnected" and must be powered down and brought back up (great when I'm not home I'll have to get the pets trained to do that).

When I log on I usually see an empty room or a door. Two minutes is the max you can view at a time.

If you are engaged with something unless you can run to a pc / phone and login, you will miss whatever it was that occurred (such as an attempt to guess the codes of their locks). Currently there is no way to record what it sees it cannot even take a picture and email it. The company's response when asked if they will add this "we are researching it (for over a year now)". The locks are great, cameras may be ok for observing people family members (creepy I'd suggest a web cam where they KNOW you are watching) or pets in a room (that is fully lit and a very narrow view), but do not depend on any form of recording or pictures for any event with other devices.

This camera is a great addition to the Schlage Z-Wave system. The camera is an on-demand camera that can ge engaged from your smartphone. When I view it on my smartphone it looks fine. It is meant as a surveillance camera and not an HD camera. I agree that with technology today, the quality should be better. However, the downside of that is you will pay for that in speed and data charges on your phone. I primarly use the camera from my smartphone as I bought the Schlage system to keep an eye on my dogs and the comings and goings of the dog nanny while I am away on business trips and vacations.

Unfortunately this is the only camera that works with the Schlage Link system. That's about the only good part of this camera. This is a low quality camera that does not allow you to record, notify on motion events, or email you an image of motion detection. These are very basic functions of other IP cameras. To make matters worse, they don't allow you to login into the camera any other way than to pay Schlage $12 / month and use their website.

The Schlage Link system works on iPhone but they haven't updated the app in over a year, and it doesn't work natively on iPads, or utilize iOS 4's backgrounding or display.

The problem that I had when I bought one, was just getting the camera to take a picture. Even after installing the new batteries that came with it, I was unable to get the camera to Flash. The notification menu was tellin gme that there was a low battery power. i went out and purchased 3 packs of brand new batteries and tried all of them...but unfortunately received the same response with all of the batteries, and was not able to ever use the flash or take a photo. The Seller wasa kind enough to honor their Return Policy and had me return the Camera and acessories for a full refund.

I got this package deal as it was the same price as getting just the camera and lens without all the other stuff in the package, so I figured it couldn't hurt. Everything promised is included and new, but some of the additional stuff is pretty cheap, though not all of it. The bag is pretty nice and actually larger than I had anticipated, with plenty of room for this gear and quite a bit more. The memory card is large and fast enough for HD video recording. The extra battery works fine and it is always nice to have a spare. The cleaning kit is pretty simple, but it works. The screen protector works well, you must cut it out to the proper shape though, really not a big deal. The UV filter was incredibly difficult to get threaded properly on the lens, and I will be replacing it soon with a different brand. The main weak point of the kit is the tripod. The tripod is cheap feeling and not very sturdy. As I tightened the screws to lock everything in place, the plastic pieces creaked with even slight pressure. I will use this tripod for now while indoors, but will be replacing it as soon as I can.

All in all:

Great camera

Good lens, bag, battery, screen protector, cleaning kit and memory card

Pretty bad UV filter

Very bad tripod

Still, everything but the body and lens came as a free bonus, so I don't see why you wouldn't go with this over just the body and lens. If you already have a lens that fills the space of the 18-135 in this kit, just get the body and save the money to get nicer accessories.

Update: The price of the bundle has increased, and I would strongly consider getting just the body or body + kit lens. The extra stuff was nice, but I would not have bought this kit at the current price ($100 ish more than the body+kit lens)

Everything came brand new and everything was correct. I love this camera, I used to have a Nikon but the switch to Canon was the best decision I have ever made.

I ordered this product from cameta camera and opted for a 3-day shipping so I can give this camera as a New year gift. the product didn't come one time. It came 10 days after the order date. The customer service reps were very rude and they probably need some training. I definitely would NOT GO BACK to this seller to buy anything else. Even the freebies that come with the camera are not good. Tripod is shaky and I probably would need to order better quality one. After reading the seller rating/reviews, I found out that other users have also had similar problems and had to deal with rude customer reps. I wish I had read them before :-(

I was long hesitating on which camera to buy. The differences in the specs between 5D and 550D were subtle, differences between this model and considered higher level 40/50D were slightly more. Overall, for a beginner photographer, as I am, the camera appeared to be very good one, providing all that I was looking for good control over the shooting setting, not bad optics (kit lens), good ccd size, nice metering and very good quality at high ISO levels. In my case video shooting was also important as we are expecting a baby. The tests went pretty well, both in still imaging and video. The only thing that I would perhaps note as negative is relatively long auto focus. In some cases it takes a while, so manual may be preferred choice.

We had a pretty good deal with the merchant, the whole package, that included stand, cleaning kit, memory card, and a bag, appeared to be very competitive. We have received everything within the promised date, not even the last day of the timespan. Everything was in a very good condition.

Pros: Everything was included as it said. Good Camera but slightly heavier that I thought it would be.

The 18-135mm Lens is good but it has its limits. Taking Close up shots are difficult. Might want to get a smaller lens if you are into close-ups.

Also, The UV filter lens were used.............. It had multiple small scratches on it. So I had to buy a new one and its all good now.

The SD card was actually class 10 so I was happy.

Battery is good, case is good, cleaning kit is ok.. but smells with "new" factory smell which is kinda bothersome at first.

Tripod is cheap stuff so its wobbly. But other then that, the camera and lens was a good purchase.

I hope this review will be helpful to others.
