The end viewing and listening result of your components will be set by the weakest link in the interconnect chain. This cable has eliminated that concern for me when using and HDMI switcher to my receiver between network player, DVD and from switcher to receiver (1m, 1.5m and 2m, respectively). A bigger geek than me will need to investigate the difference between this cable and the PipeLine brand HDMI cables made by Audioquest for RadioShack. I'm really glad a local distributor near home was able to work with me on pricing. It is expected to be a good investment.
I attached it from my Comcast cable box to my Sony tv. Studying the picture for a while I found it difficult to see much of a difference. However, when my soundbar kicked in there was a fuller, richer sound, especially in the base.
These things can be tricky; your mind can play games with you. So I called in my wife for a second opinion. Without any prompting she concurred with my findings: VIDEO uncertain although maybe a hair better; AUDIO a definite improvement encompassing a wider range of sound.
Where I really ought to link one is from the tv to my Blu-ray player. Maybe next month.
