Jet Black VG Laurel DSLR Camera Carrying Bag with Removable Shoulder Strap for Leica V-Lux 4 Digita

Jet Black VG Laurel DSLR Camera Carrying Bag with Removable Shoulder Strap for Leica V-Lux 4 Digital SLR CameraI just got a new Leica camera and this was the only camera bag available for it. Love the smaller size, but could be a little bigger so that once the strap is added to the camera it would have more room. With the strap attached to the camera, it's quite tight and really have to manuever the strap around in order to zip up the bag.

Fits the camera and is easy to use. Works as advertised and protects the camera when travelling. Has room for minimal assessories as expected.

This is a great product; however, I am returning it because I am returning the camera. It is too much camera for me.

Want Jet Black VG Laurel DSLR Camera Carrying Bag with Removable Shoulder Strap for Leica V-Lux 4 Digita Discount?

The bag is just the right size for the V Lux 4 camera even with the strap attached. The strap fits behind the pouch for the camera. The back exterior pockets are roomy enough for an extra battery, charger, memory card, etc. I would recommend this bag for anyone who owns a Leica V Lux 4.

Accell UltraAV B088C-010B Display Port Cable (3m)

Accell UltraAV B088C-010B Display Port CableThis item works perfectly well and replaced a 6 ft long cable that came with my 24" Dell UltraSharp Monitor. The main reason for my review is that I saw many bad reviews on DisplayPort cables and not enough good ones which made my decision making process rather difficult. Cable prices range from less than $10 to more than $70 for the same length cable. I couldn't tell what the high priced cables offered relative to the cheap ones. I avoided the cables that did not specifically state they supported Audio. I use this cable to connect my HP Elitebook to the Dell UltraSharp monitor. I use my computer for all business applications and a VoIP telephone line. I do not use my computer for HD movies, music, etc., but based on what I can see, I don't think you will have a problem with such applications.

I am happy I made this purchase. I can tell you, you do not need to spend more than $20 for this product. If you want to wing it on the cheaper cables, that's cool. But please do not spend more than $20!

I bought a new computer at work and needed to put the tower further away from the monitors. The standard 6 foot cables were not long enough. These new almost 10 foot cables fit the bill and work perfectly.

I paid too much for this cable because I was in a pinch but Accell always produces great product. You can buy with confidence knowing you will get first rate product but they are gouging on the price. Sorry I'm in the CE induistry and know what this stuff cost VS what they charge. Performance the same as $6 cable but when you buy it fromm Accell you extend your chances it will not fail. Peace of mind for additional 70%? Take a chance that you will be one of the 99 out of 100 and save 70% with the cheaper cable

Panasonic HDC-TM20K High-Def Flash Memory Camcorder with 16GB Internal Memory and 8GB Memory Card (

Panasonic HDC-TM20K High-Def Flash Memory Camcorder with 16GB Internal Memory and 8GB Memory CardI bought this camcorder to use it during travel. This is my first SD-Card/Flash memory based camcorder. Physically it is very handy, perfectly fits inside my palm, its really light weight with decently sturdy construction. Battery life is ok with the supplied one, for day long tours an extended battery is definitely recommended.

The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is the video quality while shooting in low light. I get a very good quality, saturated and sharp video while shooting in daylight or indoors at daytime. In very low light the video is full of grains, although useable.

Overall, I am satisfied with the camcorder for the price I paid.

Bought this camcorder to record family functions and vacations. Camcorder was easy to use right out of the box. It has a yellow box in the screen that moves with the person you filming to help you keep things centered. It also tells you, on screen, if you are moving the camera to fast.Control buttons are easy to use. If you have real meaty fingers, might be an issue. On screen controls are sweet !!! Zoom is awesome!! Instructions were easy to follow to hook up to tv and computer monitor to show video and stills. Got it for $388.99 on a five minute sale!!!!! What a steal !!!! This is a perfect camcorder for families, you will not be disappointed!

It's just so, so. The biggest shortcoming is the absence of a microphone out connection. The electronic mic only works under certain conditions and offeres too little control. You are subject to getting unusable video with this camera.

I had a specific use for a High Definition video camera, but didn't want to pay an exhorbitant price. I also found great reviews on the Panasonic cameras, and this one was no exception. I must admit that I haven't had a chance to really try it out as I had intended, as my project that I bought it for, primarily, sort of got "put on hold" for the moment. What pictures I have taken though, look really good, and the ZOOM is really nice and easy to use. I really like the Touch Screen, and the fact that it has a 16 meg card included, as opposed to many that have only an 8 Meg. For the price, though, I suggest you GO FOR IT! I haven't had a chance to try out the software yet, but some reviews say it is marginal at best, but sufficient for the average user. I want to do some Video Editing, which is quite demanding I understand. I have yet to experience that!

Dayton Audio HR13C22 6.6 ft. High-Speed HDMI Cable CL3

Dayton Audio HR13C22 6.6 ft. High-Speed HDMI Cable CL3I have owned the overpriced Monster Cables in the past and to me these do as good or better in picture and sound quality at a tenth of the price.

Best Buy wanted $129.00 for one four-foot Monster cable, these were $12 for two six-foot cables. Wow !

There isn't a whole lot to say about a cable, but this is one of the better cables. I purchased mine from Parts Express, through Amazon because it was slightly cheaper here. This cable has very good reviews on the Parts Express website. I purchased two of these for $4 per 6' cable, plus shipping, although now I see the price was raised since then.

It supports all the features of HDMI 1.3. Some cables don't, from what I read, some features of HDMI are optional to add to a cable. My cable is also more of a flat black color than it is the gray color shown in the original photo. I posted a couple pictures of my cable to show the color.

Product is exactly as described. I was impressed with the quality of the sheilding as the cable is thick which is good as this cable was going to be permanently installed in my wall for my flat panel. Hooked it up and got a good signal, nothing else to say, it is a digital signal so either it works or it doesn't. Would buy again, great price for a good product.

This is the only HDMI cable i'm currently running, through cable to tv, also my first hdmi cable owned, prev. ran component video as hdmi's in the past were pricey. i like that i get audio through it too not that it matters, but with the price of these now i could easily see myself buying a couple more sets and running them for video and audio if i didn't already run dig coax audio cables for movies/cable.

Optoma TH1060P, HD (1080p), 4500 ANSI Lumens, High-Definition Projector

Optoma TH1060P, HD, 4500 ANSI Lumens, High-Definition ProjectorI have extensive experience with both projectors and video production, so here's the straight scoop. This is a great tool for some things. If you need to project a clean bright image with good color balance in a room with some ambient light, there may currently not be a better projector for the money. It has sizzling brightness and a razor sharp picture, even on large screens. The blacks look deep and rich as long as there's a bright image next to them. Sporting events such as night baseball games look amazing. In darker scenes, shadow detail and blacks get murky as is to be expected with the stated contrast ratio. For this reason, it has limited use as a home theater projector. The high lumen output rocks and I would kill to have a home theater rig that puts out this much light and also has good blacks, but unfortunately this one can't do both. The fan is pretty noisy at the bright lamp setting, but reasonable (around 29db) with the standard setting which is still very bright. It has limited adjustments for color, and you can't really get a convincing color temp above 6500 or so. If you like to watch everything with a blue bias this may not work for you. I bought mine to do video presentations in small to medium size halls, it's great for that purpose.

Relativly new to the projector world. I have an InFocus X1 (OLD) for the kids to play their Wii on. In a dark room, it works fine. I wanted a BRIGHT HD projector to use during the football season. Primary use is in our den with alot of ambient light. No problem for the Optoma. I realize that there are alot of experts who review high dollar home theatre projectors, but I need LUMENS for my high ambient light situation. I compared the few reviews I could find on HD projectors with over 4000 lumen and under a budget of $1500. I am projecting onto a budget 135" diag screen with a throw distance of 18 feet. It works well with all of the recessed lights in our den on, even better when they are dimmed. Light from the next room is not a problem. I know that their are probably better "home theatre" projectors out there, but for the budget and high ambient light situation, this one has proved very worthy in my real world use. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!

Buy Optoma TH1060P, HD (1080p), 4500 ANSI Lumens, High-Definition Projector Now

I like this projector, it delivers in every way.

the high definition of 1080p is awesome and the wattage power is not affected by a bright room.

the only draw back for this devise is the keystoning only applies to the vertical mode and not the horizontal requiring the projector to be centered on your screen. Once that was understood the rest of setup was easy.

Read Best Reviews of Optoma TH1060P, HD (1080p), 4500 ANSI Lumens, High-Definition Projector Here

Still have only about 5 hours of use on this but I am blown away with the brightness and image quality of this projector. We are using it in a covered backyard patio area gets pretty dark at night but it is NOT a true light controlled environment as there are some lights from sources we can't fully control. Using a 100" diagonal Draper Luma Screen with Contrast Gray colored screen in there.

We also got a giant 120" portable Camp Chef portable outdoor movie theater screen for use around my sister-in-law's large backyard and pool area which overlooks a small lake. Last night (July 3) even some of the neighbors across the lake (over 200' away) were coming out to their backyards as we watched Independence Day in HD back there.

I have a 61" Samsung LED DLP TV in my main living room and the Optoma BLOWS AWAY it and anything I've ever seen before in any home environment. I thought this would look good, but I've been stunned at just how awesome the image quality is using either of the above screens. A big factor for me was the 4500 Lumens output and this thing is really bright. It is quite watchable as it gets dusk before full dark and once dark it rivals a movie theater to my and my families' and friend's laypersons eyes.

It has plenty of inputs and is compatible with basically all formats including 24P, but is not a 3D projector. I don't really care for the 3D stuff.

It does have 1/8" audio out jack as well. We can connect out back using a 35' HDMI cable using the audio out jack can output the audio (albeit only in stereo) to a good computer speaker setup (Logitech Z680) with a subwoofer which results in quick to set up for decent sound if one is not using this with a dedicated HT receiver and speaker system. The internal 3W speaker is not at all suitable for watching a movie, maybe OK for a small room business presentation though.

This thing does everything Optoma HD20 or Optoma HD23 (both marketed as "Home Theater" can do, but with a significantly brighter screen (albeit at a higher price). Neither of the other two Optoma's have the audio out jack so with those your audio options require a more expensive solution.

We are really looking forward to the summer Olympics and football this fall, and will likely use this every so often at tailgates.

When/if my Samsung 61" DLP dies, this will be its replacement inside the house. Would definitely buy this again.

Suddenly It stops working, It doesn't start up and lamp's led turns red.

Canon 62' Deluxe Photo/Video 300 Tripod with 3-Way Panhead & Case + LP-E8 Batteries + Carrying Case + Kit for EOS Rebel T2i, T3i & T4i Digital SLR CamerasAmazing kit, all items were as described exactly. I recommend people to go for this product as it was very beneficial to me and fulfilled my requirements.

What i like about this kit is the tripod!!! It is original canon tripod with canon logo embedded in the tripod even the carrying case has a canon logo. Im telling you this the best tripod. You can adjust the height from 22in to 59in. The leg can be adjusted in two level then it has a elevetor neck. So you have three level of adjustment. You can start by adjusting the first level of leg, then if it is too short adjust the leg again. If it is still not enough elevate the neck. The head can be move from left to right and up and down. It is really a good the tripod very user friendly. The other accesory with is ok not that useful but its a plus. The 2 battery are not original canon battery. if

Pentax Optio 555 5MP Digital Camera w/ 5x Optical Zoom

Pentax Optio 555 5MP Digital Camera w/ 5x Optical ZoomI bought the Pentax Optio 555 on 2 November 2003 in Hong Kong.

My number one reason for choosing the 555 was: The longer battery life. My second reason was the 5x zoom, followed by stronger flash and additional features to learn now to use. Saying that, there will be times I wish I had the smaller, lighter, faster Minolta G500... So it was a serious compromise that was not an easy choice they are BOTH excellent options for a small light 'everyday' camera!

Very basic but my very first photos are here nothing special, just really posting them so you can see the image quality almost all done in P mode... and straight from the camera! (this expires 5 Dec 2003)

OK I have never owned a digital camera before, but I have owned most recently a Nikon F100 and do know a little about film cameras...

I bought it, battery took exactly 3 hours to charge...

While I waited, I read the manual

Oh and the first thing I did was stop all the annoying sounds by turning them all off in the user menu.

The second thing I did was turn the digital zoom off

I also turned the start up picture off

I do not have a stop-watch but here are some approximate times. NOT ACCURATE TIMES, NO STOP WATCH!

Sunlight/brightly lit room I found the shot to shot time to be incredibly good even with the flash and the pictures again were in focus with excellent lighting...

Dimly lit room wide angle 1-3 seconds

Dimly lit room full Optical zoom 1.5 3 seconds

Totally DARK room wide angle 3-5 seconds

Totally DARK room full Optical zoom 3-6 seconds

I mean TOTALLY DARK! But saying that the photos look great, are well lit by the flash and in focus...

With the zoom, it takes a bit longer to focus BUT once it gets it, it is perfect. (how, I do not know)

Here are more accurate times from another review:

I am using the P mode and I quickly set up the User Mode as Gordon (see DP Review Pentax Forum) suggested:

ISO 200

AWB

Low Contrast

Spot Focus

I have a 256 Panasonic SD card (10Mb/Second)

MAX Resolution of 2592 x 1944

At 1 * it is 243 pictures

At 3 *** it is 75 pictures

I am switching between * and *** depending on the subject.

I am looking forward to Panasonic coming out with a 2 Gig card!!!

The user mode with these settings is faster than the P mode by about 1 second in the dimly lit and dark rooms.

continuous mode with no flash that was really fast too I did not time this.

PIC Night Scene Mode I went out at night on the streets of HK and took three pictures of the same things P Mode, User Mode, Night Scene Mode. What the Night Scene Mode does is really light up the whole area I don't know how it does this, but the same photo in P mode was bright lights from the signs, and a bit dark everything else. While with Night Scene the whole photo lights up as if with a flood light really amazing. At different times I would opt for P, User or Night Mode depending on my desired outcome.

Physical the case seems sturdy, the buttons are well placed, it is easy to hold and shoot. I like the way it is easy to change what the LCD displays and to turn it off... It is not as [nice] as the G500, but it is a nice functional, sturdy camera!

OK so this is the quick first impressions... but so far I am really enjoying it!...

I received the camera as a gift a few weeks ago, and expected to spend at least a couple of hours learning how to skate around the various optional settings. The menu driven software made it easy to navigate and I was up and shooting in 15 minutes. The paltry 16MB SD memory card can only hold a few of my 5Meg picutres at a time, so plan on getting at least a 250MB card for it. But the pics are unbelievably sharp and balanced in the auto mode. I haven't even scratched the surface of its capabilities, but the manual mode allows you to experiment with depth of field and exposure ... it used to take a whole camera bag to house all the filters and lenses etc. that this little shirt-pocket camera has on board.

I've owned digital cameras since they first came out, and the Optio 555 is a jaw-dropping, great little powerhouse. Put this one in the "highly recommended" column.

Buy Pentax Optio 555 5MP Digital Camera w/ 5x Optical Zoom Now

I highly recomend this camera, it takes great pictures and is very user friendly. The reason we bought this is beacause we have a very expensive minolta 35mm that never took a bad picture, that was until we got a pack of film that was bad and every single picture about 75 or so were all bad. That was not a risk I was willing to take with the birth of my first child. I bought this camera two days before my son was born and had very little time to learn how to use, but I did not need it, it is so easy to use and I took over 100 pictures, every single one came out perfect. The only thing you will need to get is a bigger SD card, I got 2, 256mb panasonic cards. I chose the panasonic cards because that is the type of card it came with. But it was only a 16mb, not enough memory. I looked at several other cameras and I chose this one because it has the aluminum case not plastic and none of the other cameras had 5x optical zoom for this price. The camera is outstanding, great build, great size, great quality!!!

Read Best Reviews of Pentax Optio 555 5MP Digital Camera w/ 5x Optical Zoom Here

This is my fourth digital camera in as many years. Overall, this is far better than the Olympus Camedia line and the Sony DSC-W1. I haven't had the opportunity to work with Cannon's, and I think that would be the closest contender for wht you can get in this camera.

The pluses of this Pentax are the crisp, extremely accurate colors, which are, if anything, on the bright side. But mostly they are spot on. Secondly, the flash is fast and powerful and most importantly, the focus is extremely fast and accurate even in the flash mode. By contrast, the Sony DSC-W1 is much slower in terms of 'locking-in' the focus in low light settings, as is the Olympus Camedia C-50. As a result, you have to be much, and i mean much steadier to get a good flash shot with the other cameras in low light settings (less so with the Olympus). I am not i like to whip out the camera when my kids are doing fun things and shoot three or four quick shots indoors, and my Optio shots are consistently great, while the Sony's are such a blur that many get

deleted.

Another plus is the battery. While I had selected the Sony b/c i thought i would prefer the simplicity of being able to recharge AA's anytime, or buy replacements, i found the Pentax battery extremely long lasting something like their promo literature says, along the lines of 500-600 shots. since it is lighter than 2 AA's, the camera overall is lighter than most running on 2-AA's.

I will say, however, that it is a bit of a hassle having to carry to Pentax battery charger, when if you use the Cannon or Sony you just need to take the standard AA Ni-Mh charger, which i take along anyway for flashlights etc. So now i often have 2 chargers, and thats a pain.

Another big plus is the very quick record time for the typical full 5 mp high resolution photo. My very unscientific method of using my watch stopwatch indicates its about .3 seconds, which was definitely faster than the Olympus or Sony. However it compares to other cameras, its the fastest I've ever experienced, and i've never felt slowed down even in some river rafting action moments.

The next thing I really like is purely subjective the size of the lens is at least double the diameter of any compact 5 mp camera.

Now that is completely subjective, but my engineering background tells me that if you double the amount of glass that light passes through, you have reason to believe you will be improving the optical clarity of your images. somehow, for all the pictures i've blown up to 5 x 7, it seems like the Pentax photos are crisper with better color could this be why?

Another plus excellent closeup features. With 2 macro settings, I have always been very pleased with every kind of closeup.

The drawbacks are all important to me but when it comes time to pack a camera, unless i need the wide angle lens of the Sony DSC-W1, this Optio is hands dwon my favorite.

Drawbacks:

Movie mode is an embarassment to digital photography! try playing 320x240 on your computer and you will get eye strain! The movie looks like a moving short-cut! Check out the Sony or Kodak (and possibly some Cannon's) they offer a resolution of 640x480 which is essential if you want to enjoy any movie clips on your computer.

the proprietary download cable is another insult designed simply to make you buy another Pentax product. Again, take a lesson from Sony, which uses the standard mini-USB to USB cable for downloads rather than the Pentax-proprietary to USB cable. If you lose that cable on the road, you have no way of downloading your photos and you are jammed until you can mail order another from Pentax. If they would only have the courtesy to let you use the standard cable as Sony does, you could go to any electronics store, or use a friends. Plus, if you carry a portable hard drive or some such thing that uses the mini-USB to USB, you will already have the download cable, while with Pentax you must carry 2 cables.

-limited wide angle viweing. the Sony has noticably better wide angle viweing, something like 28 mm, vs something like 35-50 mm in this camera, Sony also has a screw on wide angle adapter which this camera does not.

its time for Pentax to update the viewfinder. I'm sure they are working on it, but at least another .5 inches would help this camera ALOT.

increase the size of the font of all the info in the viewfinder. All the newer cameras with the larger viwfinders using larger font as squinting to read critical information is just not fun.

Thats my take this camera is far better than some of the competitors, and I hope Pentax is listening and will make some improvements, as i love this extremely functional camera now, but can't wait for the next model!

Want Pentax Optio 555 5MP Digital Camera w/ 5x Optical Zoom Discount?

This is billed as an upgrade to the earlier Optio 550, and when my much used & much appreciated 550 went over a cliff with a grad student (the student survived, the camera, alas, did not)I went straight out and ordered a 555. Good news/bad news. Good news is that I find the 555 has all of the things that I loved about the 550 -excellent resolution, remarkably good automatic exposure even in very weird lighting situations, the VERY nice 5x optical zoom that has allowed me to get some really good "up close & personals" with my study birds, and downright AMAZING batery life (I took my 555 off for a week in Wales, filled up a 256 Meg card with pix -many using flash& STILL had plenty of battery when I got home.)It also seems very rugged & forgiving (although I am keeping it away from cliff-diving grad students!. SO, what's the bad news? To be honest I don't see much of a difference bewteen the 550 & the 555. The lens is still slow coming out, there is still a noticeable lag between pressing the shutter release & the picture actually taking, so this definitely ISN'T the camera that you want if split-second timing is critical. Other than that however I would say that if you want a really light-weight high resolution field camera with a good lens, look no further (DO get a big memory card however, you will be eating up a lot of bytes very quickly).

Q-See Q25DVR4ES 4 Channel DVR with 250GB Hard Drive, Motion Detection, USB 2.0 & 4 Color Day/Night

Q-See Q25DVR4ES 4 Channel DVR with 250GB Hard Drive, Motion Detection, USB 2.0 & 4 Color Day/Night CMOS CamerasAfter using this system for about 2 weeks, the saying "you get what you pay for" holds true. The DVR works as expected without any issues, and there is good flexibility in the setup for recording based on motion or time periods. Video playback through a USB port is possible too, and the DVR can connected to the LAN via a USB network hub for reviewing the video on a computer. The camera performance at night is limited to a usable 10-15 feet because of the limited number of LED's. The camera performance is rated 1.5 Lux and 380 lines of resolution which is better suited for indoor security because of the limited range and resolution. I upgraded 2 cameras to have 480 lines and 0.1 Lux for the exterior views with a great improvement in image quality. If anyone thinks buying a entry level system like this will duplicate the performance of systems costing 2 to 3 times more, they will be disappointed. If I had to do it again, I would do more research and work with a vendor to buy upgraded cameras and get the LAN port for remote monitoring. However this starter system will suit my needs until I get the mega-house with the $3K video security system.

Ive had this unit for 1 day. the discription says night vision up to 30 ft. try 10ft maxx, after that, almost total darkness. I need to see whats going on not only day but night even more . daylight the cameras are ok, sending the unit back, disapointed....

GE 45236 Wireless LCD Portable Monitor and Camera

GE 45236 Wireless LCD Portable Monitor and CameraThis product can be great depending on your purpose for use. I bought this camera to try to catch the guy hopping my patio railing and peeping in my windows. It not only covers the area in front of my patio door but also the "blind spot" that I can not normally see. Even considering a few minor setbacks with it, I am still happy to have bought it.

Pros:

1) It does work outside and is possible to keep out there without getting wet. I mounted mine underneath the patio roof so that it is sheltered.

2) The night vision does work well. It views everything in a black and white picture, but does still have a picture whereas most cameras would just show black.

3) The camera can and will record if and only if you hook it up to a VCR, DVD recorder, or some other recording device that works with AV cables. I keep mine hooked up to my DVD recorder so that I can hit record as soon as it starts to get dark out.

4) In regards to the power cable, there is a rechargeable battery available for those who would prefer to not have the cable to contend with. I am currently using the cable (painted to match the siding for disguise) until I can purchase the battery. So far the only place I have found that sells them is the GE website for $19.99. Since they are currently out of stock until 9/28/09, I am in the process of seeking out another source.

5) Since it does have a speaker system, it can alert you to noise in the area which I absolutely love. You can set the sensitivity settings to your preference. I have it turned all the way up which means that if a plane flies over or the AC that is about 10' away kicks on, the alarm goes off. However, giving my reasoning for having it, I would rather be safe than sorry. Plus you can set it so that the LCD screen is always on with this alert or put it in standby mode which means the screen only turns on if it detects a noise in the area.

6) The camera angle can be adjusted to help get you the perfect view.

7)The picture is decent quality if you set it up right. Even the manual will tell you that if the picture is not coming up clearly just adjust the cables and the monitor position so that it can get a clearer signal. I have also noticed that when I have the video stream running on my 20" TV it can be a lot easier to view some of the smaller shapes. The picture will not be like the great digital picture you get watching TV, but it still serves its purpose.

8) You can by a second camera and connect it to this same system. The LCD even has an option to scroll back and forth between the two.

Cons:

1) To record you do need to hook it up to a recording device. Sadly it does not record on its own which does limit it's helpfulness a bit.

2) Sometimes when viewed on a larger TV, the screen can be a bit snowy. However it has never gotten nearly bad enough for me that I couldn't see what was going on outside.

3)The camera does need to be sheltered when used outside. It is like most electronics you by and does not take well to water.

4) Unless you by the optional battery pack, you do need to use the power cable which can be a great inconvenience. It means that you have to set up the camera within reach of an outlet. However, as mentioned before, you can go to the GE website and purchase one for $19.99. So far this is the only place I have found where the battery can be purchased though.

Overall I am very happy I bought it. Even its mere presence seems to have scared my peeper away (given I also did a few other things like hang curtains in all my windows etc. to help). It may not be perfect but it does a good job for the price.

We use this as our baby monitor and absolutely love it. The night vision camera makes it especially valuable to peek in at our snoozing little one without disturbing her. Night vision is black and white (standard for night vision) and the normal daytime has great vibrant color.

She's not standing yet, so we just have this perched on the top of her crib. We will need to mount to a wall or just set on a nearby dresser when she gets mobile.

Pros-

*the portable rechargeable monitor is the best thing about this. I have dropped it numerous times (sleep-deprived clumsiness) and it still looks brand new.

* Plug and play. Literally just took it out of the box, plugged in and we were up and running.

* Alarm functionif the camera detects noise, you can program the monitor to beep and turn on the screen automatically. You can adjust the sensitivity super sensitive will basically constantly be on. I can hear my baby breathing! Adjust sensitivity will range from turning on with rolling around to only if she's crying (which is perfect when I want to actually sleep at night).

* Really easy to set up. I actually take this with when we travel. It's small enough that I can throw it right in my bag and set it up at the Grandmas' houses.

Cons-

* We have a four levels in our house with lots of concrete. When the camera is on the top level and we're on the bottom levelthere is some static. Typically adjusting the antennas (one on the camera and one on the monitor) solves the problem. If there's still any staticit's usually in the sound, not the picture. So we just turn the sound down (or off) and simply keep an eye on the screen.

Buy GE 45236 Wireless LCD Portable Monitor and Camera Now

I bought this so I would be able to monitor the outside of my recording studio while working inside. I used to miss people coming to the door and knocking, and I have had some people run off with some of my stuff. I have the monitor unit attached to a 20 inch tv, but still love to be able to take the hand held unit with me around the building. The reception could be a little stronger, but it serves my purpose very well. I shopped for a couple of months before finally picking up this unit, and I had never found anything like this for the price. If you want a professional unit, you will have to spend some bucks, so in my opinion, this thing is great for the money.

Product is excellent depending on what you are using it for. I use this for keeping an eye on my front door. Works great!!!! During the day it has a good color picture, and at night the night vision works well enough for me to recognize who it is. Connecting it to a monitor or TV works well also. I plan on purchasing an additional camera so that I can monitor both front and back door. I purchased this product with the idea that it would maybe work marginally at best, but it has exceeded my expectations.

I was reluctant to buy this because of some of the reviews, but did so anyway and am glad I did. I also purchased an additional camera, which gives me coverage of my entire yard and front entrance. My cameras are not mounted far away from the receiver/monitor, so I get great reception and a crystal clear picture. I like that I can take the monitor to the back of my house, however the reception does get a little fuzzy the further away from the cameras. During the day, the monitor displays color images; at night it's black & white. What's really nice is the microphone which can pick up conversations from across the street. This camera system is not for everyone of course, but it has served my needs well. I've had the system for about four months, and no problems at all.

28AWG HDMI Cable without Ferrite Cores Black 50ft

28AWG HDMI Cable without Ferrite Cores Black 50ftPurchased this cable and installed it for my second bedroom, works great, one small problem I reordered it without ferrite cores as the hole it was going thru was small, they goofed and sent it with cores!!still used it no complaint so far, excellent picture.

I got this cable back in May, but never had a chance to test it. I never had an HDMI display until Christmas. I finally got a chance to test the cable and it doesn't work at all. I have a 50' composite cable that ran along this one and with my roku was able to send out video through both cables at the same time. The composite has no problem at all, but the HDMI flickers on and off. And when it is on you see horizontal lines that ruin the picture. Even if you change your resolution to 720p you still have the problem. These cables are not tested and I guess I was unlucky that I couldn't test it within the return window. Do not buy.

I bought one of these cables to connect a computer in the rear of the house to a flat screen on the other side of the house. The cable is thick and flexible, great for running in the walls and attic. Had no problems running the screen at 1080P.

Lorex LIVE Wireless Security Cameras (White)

Lorex LIVE Wireless Security CamerasOverall not worth buying. The picture quality is sub-par, it is supposed to color but closer to black & white. The picture is grainy and has intermittent interference. We don't have anything (that I know of) that could be generating the interference. I know this is an inexpensive system but I was hoping for a decent picture without interference.

I am returning it and will try another brand.

when we found out we were having twins, we had a hard time finding a solution for a video baby monitor, times 2 (can you say, expensive?!)! we decided instead to find an affordable security set that came with two cameras. we chose the lorex live wireless cams and they have been PERFECT! we love the easy setup and simplicity of moving the receiver from room to room when needed. the only small disappointment is the sound, a little crackly/staticy, but we have a traditional baby monitor as well (old school walkie-talkie style) and just turn the volume down on the tv and use the other monitor for sound. we turn to the "twin channel" as i like to call it every night before bed, so we don't have to disturb them by going into their room. it has been so helpful for peace of mind and a quick check when they are napping, and the price is AWESOME for how much we've used it. the video quality is also great, MUCH better than most actual "baby" video monitors on the market. the night vision is super crisp as well -which is great for watching them sleep at night. overall i would definitely recommend this product, and as always, amazon shipped fast and cheap and delivered another great product!

These cameras arrived when I expected them to, but they are not worth the money. I set them up, and firstly, they don't reach very far before they're overcome with static and the batteries are drained within minutes.

This item is a good low cost method of providing closet circuit observation. Downside is that the range between the camera and the receiver is limited and receiver often needs to be moved and antenna adjusted to get decent picture.

I have looked at a few surveillance systems to monitor our twins. You can't do better than this system unless you want to spend a whole lot more. Number one thing to consider, do you need a perfect picture? If you do, go with a corded unit or digital. One is hard to set up and one is costly. Number 2 thing to remember, WIFI runs on 2.4gh. If you get a camera with a 2.4gh you will HATE it if you have wifi yourself, or around you! Trust me on this one, I tried one. If it is 2.4gh DIGITAL it will work, but only digital. I noticed most wireless camera systems are 2.4gh (not digital), so they are all junk for the common user (there are 7 wifi routers in my range). We have had this unit in use for 1.5 years and never had an issue outside of some intermittent static. This Lorex unit runs off a 900mhz. Plugs into video and one audio rca jack. The night vision is ok in total darkness and great with a little light. I feel that if the other negative reviewers purchased the cameras in competition with this unit (as I did) they would know this is a great value and there are always flaws with wireless. When using both cameras it shows each pic for about 2 seconds. I purchased this LW1002W under $100.

Epson PowerLite 410W Business Projector (WXGA Resolution 1280x800) (V11H330020)

Epson PowerLite 410W Business ProjectorI have few complaints about this projector. It produces a very good picture and is especially useful in small spaces. The picture is viewable even in lightened rooms. It is somewhat loud running and gets fairly hot but, for the price, it is a very good device. I would buy it again for sure.

Precision Design EW-83J Lens Hood for Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens with UV Filter + Accesso

Precision Design EW-83J Lens Hood for Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens with UV Filter + Accessory Kitall items arrived in good order, no complaints, good package for the price, althought u might not need so many things, but for long term can always be useful for the price.

I actually bought this for a Canon 17-40 f/4 L lens, for use on a 40D. L series glass is made for full-frame shots, and given the 40D has a APS-C 1.6 factor sensor, the stock hood doesn't work...REALLY doesn't work. This one does NOT vignette at 17mm, fits right snug (I've been living in The South too damn long...), and even though it doesn't have the fuzzy fluffy flocking crap on the inside of the barrel like the Canon EW-83J does, it keeps flare controlled like it should.

Anyone ever compare this to the Canon? I'd love to know.
