I had been using another adapter while at college that had been working absolutely fine with my TV. When I cam home for the summer and my roommate took his adapter back home I purchased this product. Upon receiving the adapter, I wired it up, and while my TV recognized there was a connection, there was no signal provided. It should also be noted that the adapter did not look like the one displayed in the photo, chiefly in how there were none of the little holes or designs.

I gave this company my money, and the gave me a product which didn't work, so there is no way i could recommend someone buying this. There are other viable options.

i set this up as soon as i got it, being super psyched! before this i had purchased the shift3 lightblast entertainment projector and was sorely disappointed. therefore, i decided to up my price range a little. i bought this for around 200$ and it was worth it. currently i have this set up approximately 12 feet from my screen. my screen is 5' across & tall.

pros

it has most any hook-up you could want.

it projects well enough even with a couple lights on, but projects amazingly in a dark room. it has better picture quality (both sharpness and color) than my old TV and my laptop combined!

it's easily set-up and you barely have to do a thing.

the warranty is amusing to read (the projector isn't covered if it is wrecked in a casualty... =P ).

the bulb is easily replaced.

it has both focus & zoom and both are easy and work very well.

it looks good.

it's pretty quite.

it has a remote.

cons

it kicks the fans on immediately and constantly runs hot, although this is a trend i've seen with every projector.

the sound output port is rather pathetic and insufficient to hook up to something such as surround sound, but there are ways around this (don't put sound into it and run the sound directly to your speakers)

it says it has a built in speaker system, it has a volume control, but the speakers don't work the best...

it needs time to cool down after using it (the fans run for an extra 2-3 min. after it's off).

Ive got to say, i was a tad skeptical at buying this projector. for a little under 400 bucks, i didnt know what i really was getting. I was getting mixed details about the projector, saying it was a xvga, then it says its a 720p projector. I didnt know if the 720p was a lie. Well, the truth is, natively this projector is a 4:3 aspect ratio xvga projector. But boy does it know how to push its limits! I attached a blue ray player via hdmi to this bad boy and it looked GREAT! The quality of the projector is really really nice in my opinion. not only does it have the hdmi port but it has vga, and a composite, and a sound in and out port too. I love this projector and watch all my movies on it.

It says its a 70in projector but im telling you with the 2800 lumens it has, you can go larger and STILL have a great image! i was projecting onto a 80in screen and it looked great and it could keep getting larger if i only had a larger screen!

i say, get this, you dont need the 600 dollar 720p projectors, i think this one does just fine!!!!!

The zoom lens helps a tad, but its hard to get a large picture when the screen is close. You would need to tape on a wide angle lens to do that, which i have done :) HAPPY SCREENING!

I ordered my OPTOMA projector because it offered high quality and versatility in terms of brightness (2800 lumens), and input formats. A nice bonus that I hadn't seen before is the VGA out, which I will use to string together multiple displays for my installations.

HOWEVER, What is sorely missing is a lens cover. Many other manufacturers' designs include a slider that opens/closes a lens cover or at least includes a removable lens cover. This had neither. It must be an oversight, because the TS551 comes with a travel bag which suggests that it is meant for portability.

I use this projector everyday for my PS3, Wii, Computer (movies and games), and Digital HiDef cable and it looks awesome on everything. Bright at night and during the day, and it goes past the 70 inch size. We have it mounted to the ceiling about 14-15 feet from the wall and it goes up to 130 inches without distortion. You don't have to look at it dead on either to see it you can see it from all angles clearly. The only bad thing I have noticed about it was that the audio out plug is bad it sounds all crackly and distorted but if you have your own surround sound system and you just hook up the video signal cords you will be fine.

I am SO happy that I purchased this camera! It is perfect for me because I'm not the most careful person. I love that it's shock resistant and waterproof. I purchased the accessory kit along with it, which is very, very helpful. Especially sense it comes with a flotation device should I drop into one of my fishing lakes or rivers; I've lost a lot of things fishing :)

Great camera takes great pics, havent figured out the gps tagging yet but cool feature, dropped it in the touch pond at the aquarium and not water leaks so at least we know its waterproof.

This camera is easy to use, It is well made, although I have not but it in water or droped it yet. I hope it will hold up on a white water rafting trip (280 miles) down the colarado river.

I have had this cable only a few days but I expect it to keep on working. What was the pleasant surprise, that once the Kindle Fire HD is hooked up to the TV and a movie is selected it right away plays both on the Kindle and on the TV. With my laptop I always have to manually move the screen over to the TV and at times get confused which way I need to drag my cursor or the screen to get it to show up on the TV.

This is a good choice for a "big enough" portable monitor. We've had plenty of trouble from smaller and larger monitors, and unless you're willing to pony-up at least three times the price of this unit, there's really little reason for complaint. So far I get about 2 hrs of continuous use with Sony F970 batteries.

So, the downsides first...

This is a 4:3 panel.

16:9 is fairly easily set, but only after accessing the menu. (no shortcut)

Advanced features work, but only in 4:3 mode. (16:9 must be manually reset)

This unit requires a sturdy arm for tripod attachment.

Less intuitive menu.

No Sharpness adjustment.

No VESA mount.

Good stuff...

Big enough to focus with. 1:1 pixel zoom is nice.

Pass-through HDMI is lag-free. Very nice when viewing on another monitor.

t is unfortunate that a company that has good presence in the audiovisual market, have such poor judgment in the development of their products, this monitor could be one of the best but it was because you have so marked and inconceivable mistakes: if you have the screen in 16:9 and want to use some of the functions F1 to F4 for example false color, peaking focus, zebra, and other setting, it automatically jumps to 4:3 which is unacceptable and unprofessional, besides annoying to the extreme

I got this camera as a gift for my birthday. I'm really interested in photography.So my parents thought this would be a good gift for me, but sadly they didn't look into any features, just the color. So I have found the camera to be troublesome.There are many problems I've found. One would be that it goes through batteries very quickly. I'm a college student so I don't have a lot of money to spend on batteries so it's a hassle. Another issue is the camera takes a pretty awful picture if flash is not used. It makes the pictures really distorted. The shutter speed is pretty slow as well, so taking action shots is not good for this camera. Also, the menu to change certain settings are very very limited. For example, I can't change the light exposure (tried this in hope to be able to take pictures outside to counteract the flash) or shutter speed.

However, with all the negatives aside there are a few postives. Such as the nice color it comes in, amount of megapixels, the price, video, and cropping features. The megapixels for this camera are pretty decent, especially considering the inexpensive price. There is a nice little video feature where the camera also picks up audio. Another fun feature with this camera is you can crop a picture using the camera itself and you can put the picture in fun tones, such as black and white, sepia, blue, red, etc.

Overall, this camera is pretty decent for someone who isn't worried about perfect pictures or isn't that into photography in the long run. This camera can take some gorgeous pictures, just it can take some time. This is a good camera for what it costs, and if anyone plans on buying it, make sure to have a memory card. Because at most, this camera can hold around 4 to 8 pictures. But this is found in most digital cameras with a decent amount of mega pixels.

ITs true, that this camera doesn't come with a memory card, but I was able to find one on amazon.com for only $3 from sandisk. Now it holds about 700 pictures. The memory card fits really tight in the memory card slot and I actually had to remove the batteries to get the memory card out. So thats not easy to use. Also the menu and appearance of the camera make it seem like it could be a knock off camera. Thank goodness for the packaging that has polaroid all over it otherwise I would have sent this back. Nonetheless, I would recommend this camera for the price of $50. If you're gonna spend $150.00 like this camera was originally priced at, you're better off buying another brand.
