I love this camera! It takes wonderful pictures, lots of editing choices, and it's easy to use. I would recommend this camera for sure.

I didn't have much time to play with it when I first bought it, but the last few days I have. Trying out different settings it's almost as much fun as taking pictures. Would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I love this kit. The only downside is that the tripod is horrible! It will not hold the camera. If I let go of the camera it would pop out of the tripod. Other than that, the kit is perfect.

Yukon Digital NV Ranger Pro Binocular

I recently purchased the Yukon Digital Ranger Pro monocular with the intention of using it to glass and stalk feral pigs on family land. After using it three times there are some areas in which this tool REALLY performs well and others where it is not a replacement for low-or-zero magnification NV. THE GOOD: Once you figure out how to focus the monocular, you can resolve a VERY sharp and VERY detailed image from quite a long distance. For example, you can easily identify a feral pig from a calf at a distance of about 300 yards and you can pick out the shape of a license plate (not read it, though) on a vehicle from 400-500 yards. Both examples were on overcast nights without visible stars or moon, some ambient light from the sky but not much. The IR beam that the Ranger Pro casts is very powerful and can be used to BRIGHTLY illuminate a target for a hunting partner with a Gen 1 rifle scope on a dark night, which I think is VERY cool. I also like that you can connect this device to your digital video camera and record what you are doing, but that isn't practical unless you are hunting out of a blind or from a hide. So, in short, you get a very sharp picture with 5x magnification, an excellent IR illuminator (I can confirm that the beam is invisible to pigs), the ability to record to the digital camera you already have and a relatively small pricetag for the image quality (have to go over $2k for conventional phosphor tube NV to get the same quality). If you don't need to see a REALLY SHARP image beyond about 200 yards, you get the same thing out of the regular Yukon Digital Ranger for about 1/3 the cost. THE BAD: It would be very difficult to use this device while moving. You have to stalk, stop, glass, resume stalking. If you want continuous visibility in low/no light conditions, you need something other than this device. It eats batteries although you can stretch it's effectiveness by intermittent use, don't count on more than two hunts out of a set of batteries (leave the 12v charger plugged in when not in use because it disconnects the battery pack otherwise the small IR illuminator continually draws a small charge). I recommend feeding this thing with rechargeables. The LCD display in the eyepiece will blind you for a moment in the eye you use it on, I can see this being a major problem in some situations. This device has trouble quickly acquiring targets at different ranges if you have a set of targets at 50 yards and another at 100, it takes both hands and a few seconds to examine both. I really wish this device had a set or auto-focus and/or a push-button zoom capability like many digital cameras do either would make it a much better product.

It was the only 25' Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable I could find. It's inexpensive, and it works! Carries audio and video the HD picture looks great! Sounds great too! "BUT" my audio/video equipment isn't capable of testing the "outer limits" of this cable's capabilities.

If you have a "long run" and don't want to string multiple HDMI cables together with connectors, or wish to avoid having one of those "huge" mini-HDMI to HDMI adaptors hanging off the mini-HDMI port on your video card, this cable offers a very reasonably priced solution.

After receiving this 25 feet Mini HDMI to HDMI Cable, I must say it is working just awesome for me. I hooked up my desktop PC via my Nvidia Geforce GT 640 video card which has a mini HDMI connection, and linked it up with my 32 inch Sony Bravia flat screen TV which have two HDMI connections at the back and I have to say I can now view all my personal movies and pictures for my friends and family to view. I just received this camera that was recommended to me by a photography student since I'm interested in the same. I LOVE IT! Especially sonce it came with extras including a carrying case and all the other accessories. It was a great deal, better than any retail store. It would have cost a lot more if I had purchased through retail. I'm looking forward to expanding my photography hobby into a small business and this camera is the perfect one to start with.

Arrived on time. Everything works well and the USB card holder has been very handy. The only thing that isn't great is the camera case. If you have more than one lens, it's really crowded. The lcd screen protectors seem unnecessary but that's probably a personal preference thing. Overall, very happy with the purchase and love the D3100 as my first DSLR after owning two Nikon film cameras. Would recommend it to anyone. The continuous shooting was really fun this winter while capturing some downhill sledding and jumps.

Samsung SCD5000 DuoCam MiniDV Camcorder/4MP Digital Still Camera

This camcorder is a piece of junk. The low light is really horrible. The picture is grainy and the autofocus is slower than my grandma. Spend a little extra a get a quality camera...not this one!

When I read the previous 3 reviews I had to look and make sure they were talking about the same camera that we used. We either had great luck buying this model or theirs was horrible.

We bought this camera in 2005 and have used it for family occasions, 6 cruises and numerous land vacations and my husband and I always thought it was the best camera we ever bought. On one cruise we zoomed in with the video and picked up a rainbow a long way out on the ocean and it looked clear and like it was right next to us.

With the camera component included we never bought another digital camera as we had it all incorporated in one unit and I liked that convenience. We never had a time when the screen went black as previously discussed either. Like I said we have had nothing but good pictures and videos and I have told people it is a great camera. So like stated before we either lucked out with ours or the other owners got lemons!!

I needed to catch a thief and did not want to spend hundreds on a security system to do it. This camera did the trick the video quality was pretty good for what it is and it even has sound. The downside to the camera is its short battery life which they don't tell you about. I found the battery lasted about 2 hours when in the motion sensing mode. They should also mention that you need to purchase a micro sd card which is not included with the camera. About 20.00. Overall I am very happy with the product.

The pictures come out really well and almost professional looking. The camera responds well, feels really comfortable in the hand, with the controls easily accessible and responsive. I was looking for an inexpensive camera like the Nikon P100 but without too many picture taking compromises and without AA batteries. So the X90 fits the bill, yet, the missing lens thread, manual pop-up flash and the childish scene options interface make it a bit awkward overall. I am tempted to keep it though because it is pretty fast in startup, while less so in flash charging, light weight and capable of tremendous zoom. It looks great here on Amazon but rather amateurish once I opened the box. Of course, I shouldn't expect that much from a camera in this price range, and perhaps I should just appreciate the terrific picture quality this baby is capable of so thanks Pentax, a job well done albeit it a bit lacking in some regards, Wish I really could have that Fuji E900 in an upgraded version, but the Pentax X90 will do for now.

After taking a number of shots with the camera over the past few weeks I can say that it performs remarkably well. Sure, it's not a professional camera but the clarity is astounding at this price point. The image stabilization is world class IMHO. Both at macro and tele, the camera performs excellently. There were a few situations in which it underperformed. A friend's Samsung P&S was able to get better backlit portrait shots (the background came out much better but that same Samsung did a terrible job with any other portrait shot so Pentax left it far in the dust overall), and I had to adjust the flash to -2.0 to reduce the strength. The default settings of the camera have the flash set for super bright and white balance to wash out most colors. This is adjustable once I became familiar with the menu options. What I really, really like about it is that it remembers all your custom settings. I have one at Program, Scene, and Manual. Each time I want to take three different shots to get a variety of results in difficult lighting conditions, all I have to do is turn the dial to another mode and it automatically returns to my previous setting. When I couldn't get a good outdoor portrait shot of my wife, I turned to Manual mode, adjusting the aperture such that I got good exposure with the flash and in the background. The options are virtually endless! The camera says it's made in Indonesia if that is important to you. Excellent job Pentax!

Charging unit comes with separate cord. The plug should have been built in for easier carrying (like Panasonic in same price class).

No lens thread. This is actually a major disadvantage because a polarizing filter could make lots of outdoor pictures with this camera much better than they already are. In this economy, Pentax should have taken the trouble to put a thread in, even if it were plastic, IMHO.

Since Amazon has it back in stock, let me expand a bit on my experience with it. After several months of extensive use, I no longer find the lens cap issue to be a big problem. Even though I put the camera right into a shoulder bag with other items or in a backpack or briefcase, the lens has yet to get scratched by anything. The cap comes off quite easily, but that's actually an advantage too, I flip it off with a finger of the same hand that's holding it. The viewfinder is excellent and gives you all the info you need. I make much more use of it then I thought in the beginning.

Image quality in wide angle mode is pretty amazing overall. The only problem I find is with the panoramic function. It could be just me but I have the hardest time lining up the overlapping parts. The camera guides me through the process so it should be a piece of cake but the results are always off somehow.

Now that I live close to the beach I take more wildlife and surfing pictures. Chromatic aberration is noticeable especially at the longest zoom setting in higher contrast situations. I love the long zoom, rarely do I take pictures in between the wide angle and farthest zoom setting.

VIDEO

I have yet to get any useful video out of the camera. It's always overexposed and jittery. Don't buy this if you're planning to shoot video with it!

Hi there i want everyone to know, i finally have found a great point and shoot camera, i have owned many cameras including the panasonic f35 which has great ratings, how ever the pentax has gone a few steps forward. Its great having an electic view finder as well as a nice size screen, the 26 xx zoom is fantastic. The camera is made well, in gun metal blue. it really come close to using my slr, with out carrying all the lenses, etc, Thank You Pentax.

For the price and performance I was quite delighted. I had wanted a small sized camera with a SLR and also with see through viewing. LCD screens have their place but they can be difficult in light/shadow environments. Simply put, it was simple to use and served ny needs.

I have had this camera for more then a month. I have taken well over a thousand photos and am thoroughly impressed with the camera overall. The super macro is outstanding. I have taken so many close ups of very small things....(Ex. Ladybug eggs, small dragonflies, water droplets on greenery)that numerous people have asked me what camera am I using. I have also taken some really cool digital zoom photos as well. I am an amateur photographer and have used Fuji, Hp, Pentax SLR 35mm. I find that every photographer and their camera will not take perfect pictures 100 percent of the time but if you read your manual and enjoy taking photos you will not only find awesome ways to use this camera but you will not want to let go of this camera.

Some Pros:Amazing super macro, digital zoom, anti shake, many shooting options, ease of use, fun pre-installed picture frames, night time with flash, good size screen, viewfinder, battery charges a quick hour and a half. A cinch to connect to PC.

Some Cons; lightweight, not enough rubber grip, I would have liked a larger grip area, lens cap(but similar camera lens caps generally come the same),battery life about 200 or so pictures. Picture playback option a bit awkward (have to hold power button and play button together? Just play button would have been fine.

Conclusion.... At the new much lower price (Price was higher when I bought it) I would tell you to jump with both feet! Awesome camera for this price point Period. I have some photos up from this camera..check them out!

After reading several reviews from reputable sources, I replaced my aging HDMI cables with low cost Mono-price HDMI 1.4s. Big mistake! My picture was "snowed" and my audio suffered (Keep in mind all I did was swap out the cables). Frustrated I turned to a company known for outstanding quality at every product level, AudioQuest. These cables corrected all the issues the Mono-price ones introduced and improved the video quality. Yes, they are more pricey than others, but having seen the difference myself, I'll never buy anything else.

I recently had to relocate my PS3 a little farther from my receiver and needed a longer, white HDMI cable. I chose white because I wanted the cable to blend better with my white built-in home theater cabinet. I went with the AudioQuest for color, length and based on my ownership experience with several other AudioQuest HDMI Cables.

Pros:

1. Suitable for in-wall installation.

2. Excellent picture and audio quality.

3. 3-D compatible.

Cons:

1. Because of the higher specs, this cable is a little expensive.

The extra cost is worth the price. I would recommend AudioQuest Forest 5m cable for use with your Playstation 3.
