For the price, this camera is really good. And it comes with cable too. The cable has the power in it also, so if you want to extend the run, you have to buy special cable, but enough is included so that's unlikely. The video is pretty good in both day and night. I have a different camera that has better video and an adjustable lens, but I paid almost 4 times as much. Can't go wrong at this price.

The Zoomy microscope is easy to load software for and starts up with no problem. My ten-year-old uses it as part of home school, to look at, identify & record all sorts of cool bugs. I think it well worth the $50 we spent. The USB connection is convenient and the pictures can be saved in .jpg format, the same as photos.

If you own a Mac you have experienced compatibly issues. I have spent time trying to get accessories to talk to a Mac and given up frustrated. That is why I always check the reviews before buying an accessory for my Mac. This is the review warning you that the Zoomy may not work with your Mac and definitely does not work with Mac Mini running OS 10.6

The Zoomy does work well with my PC but the software and the person who wrote the software both suck.

This product does what is says. It takes very clear, detailed pictures and videos. It has a preview setting. This means it has a "live view" screen to focus your picture, and allow for hours (!?!) of entertainment. If I thought this would be so much fun for my kids, I would have bought one sooner!

We bought it to correctly identify insects and spiders in the gardens, which it allows me to do wonderfully, but we have found so many other uses for it! My two children (2yo and 4yo) are in love with this little machine. They are exploring a whole new world! The first day we received it the kids looked at everything from their toe nails (ew!), lined paper, a house fly, a pencil tip, the dog's fur, the cat's ear, and we even located and pulled out a sliver in mommy's finger! They have more fun just watching the preview screen, and don't take alot of pictures with it. They are usually too involved, and move on to the next item without taking any.

For my purposes, I use it to correctly identify insects and spiders in the house and garden. It is essential to know what pest (or beneficial) you are dealing with to know if, when, and how to kill. Many nymphs, and instars of insects look similar if not identical to the naked eye. I now know that the brown beetle I thought was a common stink bug, it actually the fourth instar of the marmolated stink bug. This is an invasive, foreign species that is just now spreading to my area. It's the first time I've seen one, and he got the flush instead of being carried outside to freedom. I also know to look for more of them. It will also help me identify lacewing, ladybug, and parasitic wasp larvae. These are all beneficial insects that should NOT be destroyed, and will help, or completely control a pest insect in the garden. Bugs like thrips, gnats, and ants are no longer difficult to identify!

It has few options. For example the focus is not labeled like a standard microscope, so you can't tell what magnification setting is being used. But it's because of the low options that make it so kid friendly. It's easy to hold (smaller than a standard computer mouse), operate (single button push for picture taking), and the focus is easy to manipulate (turn left and right). Once I get it plugged into the computer and pull up the program, they can use the zoomy without any input from me, all I do is watch them wonder at the picture they see on the screen. This is going to be lots of fun this summer when we get pond water and garden worms to look at!

It does need to be connected to the computer to work, but for the tiny area focused, that's not a big deal. I use it with a laptop, and it has no problem. The program used with it loads fast, and the zoomy itself is quickly and easily recognized by any computer I've plugged it into. We have used it with Windows 7, vista, and XP with no problems. This little machine is durable (dropped by my kids several times), easy to use, and dependably works. Well worth the money I spent on it.

Swift Hitch SH02 Portable Wireless Camera System

I've only used this twice so far and both times it has proven to be a real treat to have, as I didn't need the wife's help to get our trailer hooked up to the truck. I was able to back up and stop in the perfect spot the very first time. No more in and out, in and out, move an inch to the left, no the other left and so on. Anybody that has a trailer knows exactly what I'm saying. It was easy to charge both units, easy to set up and very easy to use. The magnet works great and I know I'll use the suction cups on the back of our trailer sooner or later. My only bit of disapointment was trying to see the screen when it is really sunny outside, as the brightness seems to make the actual picture very, very light gray and tough to see the screen clearly. I've not yet used it in the dark, but I'm sure it will be great there. I'm really glad I went with the SH02 model rather than the SH01, as the carry case with the foam protection around each piece is great, with all the charging cords and everything needed to use this set-up was in there, also I wanted the suction cup set-up as well. In my opinion, it was a good deal for the price!

PLEASE READ THE ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ATTACHED TO THIS REVIEW, BEYOND MY ORIGINAL POSTING.

We bought the kit that included the suction cups which are needed for vehicles with fiberglass hatches, tail gates, etc. The suction cups are connected to a triangle metal plate which substitutes a metal plate for the camera unit to stick to. The suction cup adapter fell off the glass window of a Tahoe. We then wet the suction cups with basically the same result. The magnetic base camera unit has a tendency to slide on all metal surfaces that I tried. This is not good.... The actual magnet in the base of the unit is recessed ever so slightly so that actual metal to magnet contact is not achieved. The magnetic "force" causes some magnetic field to hold it in place but the vibrations from backing up the car cause it to slide. In other words, the magnet is not strong enough to hold it in place. I called the manufacturing company and they had no helpful suggestions. I am going to try and remove the magnet and install a thin spacer to raise the actual magnet above the camera's metal base. That way, the actual magnet should make contact with a metal surface. The recession in the base is very minimal, but just enough to weaken the sticking power of the magnet. I am not exactly sure how I am going to fix the suction cup issue.

This item is a nice piece of kit but has 2 important drawbacks: its very difficult to see the screen in the typical bright sunlight that many times I have to hitch; and the screen is too small to see dark detail. Part of the problem is that if the hitch itself is in shadow, the camera light sensor darkens the image to compensate for the area its receiving thus making the ball or the bar (Hensley hitch)impossible to discern. You can adjust the camera view but there are just so many places on which you can mount the camera that will also accommodate a sight angle that eliminates bright areas so that the hitch is viewable.

The camera works well and my husband hitched the boat by himself on the first try.

He also uses the camera when he works on the car. In the past, he would use a flashlight and a mirror to look for items he couln't see under the hood. Now he uses the camera and can also do this at night since the camera operates well in the dark. The camera is used to look up into the fireplace, under the house, in the attic and for lost toys under the bed and couches.I recomend this to everyone.

I sold my $25,000 pro video camera and bought this with extra lenses, matte box, slider, lights, even a Steadicam, etc. A great move. I've had this for about five months now. Shot docs, commercials, small features. It's much smaller size makes it far easier to travel with, and it's great depth of field gives you lots of creative options. Great bang for the buck.

I have bought this video camera three days after it was available in the market, though it took me sometime to receive it. It has excellent futures, 2x XLR inputs for professional stereo sound. Very good in low light conditions and it doesn't have the antialiasing problems that DSLR's got. I also owe a Canon 5D but if you are more into filming than photography it is thumbs up from me!

This Panasonic camera is a real breakthrough. I used to work for Sony in Japan, who are the other leaders in professional video cameras, but I really don't think they can compete with the AF100 on price, or specifications.

I would advise potential customers to be careful where they buy this camera. I have never felt ripped-off by Amazon, even if a few other companies can equal or better the price. If I want to get this review published, it seems I have to be careful about how I refer to competitors. A New York company that considers itself to offer the best price photo equipment (put in capital letters and you'll know who I'm talking about) offers this camera for a few hundred dollars less. Be warned. Unless you are very strong-willed you will be talked into buying hundreds of unspecified extra dollars and receive an un-itemized receipt, if you specifically ask for it. The advertised camera price does not appear anywhere on the invoice. Not like Amazon, unfortunately. As I said, I have never had a bad buying experience with Amazon. Beware of shady cut-price dealers, unusually common in New York in my experience. When I actually named that company and listed what they did to me, Amazon blocked my write-up. So read between the lines.

BTW it's a fabulous camera and worth every penny that Amazon charges.

I'm old school, I'm all about film. Real film! However, I had to make the jump into digital video. I've played around with various cameras, but never was comfortable. I love the image and ease of shooting. Downloading footage is simple and easy despite the warnings for FCP users like myself. Besides, I'm not throwing down $90K for an Arri Alex so this camera is perfect for my needs of short films and a features. The one thing that one must be aware of is that the sensor size doubles the focal length of whatever lens you use, i.e. 45-200mm lens becomes a 90-400 mm lens. I haven't seen it projected on a wide screen yet, but that is my next test. Enjoy!

I am shooting feature doc and bought this camera for shooting it. I also own a canon 7D and have had MANY issues with the 7D (aliasing!!! and generally a lack of film friendly functions). The AF100 has all the usual camera functions anyone who used the HVX is used to but the image is far superior. Out of the box the image was quite noisy even at low ISO's but with a bit of research and tweeking of the menus (and doing a few black balances) the image is now very crisp and not noisy anymore. I recommend this camera!

The cable is thin but surprisingly strong. Once I moved my Samsung in my lap and the micro HDMI connector "unplugged" itself because of the rigid cable. Otherwise connection is super. I would recommend this cable.

With this I am able to sit on my couch with my tablet and plug it into my 60 inch hdtv to watch movies. All I need now is a remote for my tablet. The build of this cable is great and I love that it came with a Velcro wrap to keep the cable neat when not in use.

I use this cable with my Asus TF700 Transormer Pad Infinity, with great results. Even though with HDMI the quality of the build is not as critical as with analog cables, this cable has a very premium feel to it (gold plated connectors and all). Bargain price, too.

Nikon COOLPIX L28 20.1 MP Digital Camera with 5x Zoom Lens and 3" LCD (Black)

I bought this camera bcoz I loved the Nikon Coolpix L22 model I bought in Thailand & have used for 3 years with no problems except I dropped it & the battery door clip broke off so I had to get a #8 blk rubber washer to hold the battery door closed tight. I thought the L28 would be pretty much the same camera as L22 but was disappointed bcoz the pictures are not quite as sharp as the L22. I did some research & discovered the only real true different in the cameras of any concern is the pixel size being 2.4 µm² for the L22 & 1.4 µm² for the L28 (bare minimum huge difference!!) u can find out all this infor on snapsort.com about any camera. Also the L22 was made in Japan & L28 is made in China (personally I really don't think that makes any difference bcoz these are cheap $100 cameras, period). All in All I like the L28 bcoz it is a little bit smaller (almost micro) than the L22 & I love little double AA battery pocket cameras. I took 10s of thousands of awesome photos in Thailand for the 3 years I was living there but had to keep the camera in the Auto Mode with the flash always on & everything else off such as motion control, etc., in order to achieve very sharp colorful pictures. When I was in Thailand I meet hundreds of people that had rechargeable lithium Li-ion battery pocket cameras & 9 times out of 10 their batteries were always low or exhausted so missed thousands of unbelievable shots when my rechargeable NI_MH double AA batteries gave out I just hoped 20 feet over to the nearest 7-11 & bought some cheap double AA batteries & was back in business within 10 minutes for 200 to 300 or 400 hundred more shots everybody always asked me to email my pics to them bcoz their cameras were useless (true story) that's why I love double AA pocket cameras bcoz u never miss a good shot just have to find one that takes sharp photos every shot...

This camera is really user friendly. It doesn't have the advanced features of some cameras, like manually adjusting the aperture, but it has many features and the exposure can be adjusted manually. I really like this camera and am very happy with my purchase. It is compact in size, but seems sturdy, like it could get accidentally dropped and not break in to a million pieces.

Used it for two days and promptly boxed it up. First it had only one previous review so I didn't have much to go on. I tested the zoom, scenery settings, and flash and found all lacking. Very fuzzy pictures even without the zoom and long lags between photos. I'm sorry for the lack of technical verbiage, but hope this is helpful. I ended up trading to the Canon PowerShot SX160, which while not a DSLR camera, is a better point & shoot for me. It is much heftier (this Nikon was too small for my hands), much shorter lag time, and provides higher quality shots on just the auto settings.

After reading previous reviews I was leery about buying the Coolpix L28. But, I really like my Coolpix L120 so I thought I'd take a chance on the L28 because I needed something really portable. I made sure that I ordered a memory card that is rated at class 10. The slower cards (class 4, etc) will take somewhat longer to snap and store a picture. Wait times with my class 10 card are only about a second or 2 at most. Pictures I've taken so far are reasonably sharp and colors are true. My PC recognized the camera immediately without installing Nikon software and it was easy to move pictures onto my HD. The high resolution of the L28 means pictures can be enlarged considerably. For closeup I snapped a picture of a printed page at about 5 inches and the type was perfectly clear. It is true that the L28 doesn't do as well in a dark room as my L120. Pictures are a bit grainy, but normal room lighting produces good results. In my opinion, for people who want a snapshot camera that is small and portable and reasonably priced, the Coolpix L28 is a good choice.

It is thick and easy to work with also. If this is your first time working with the large rolls of backdrop paper, make sure you have a clamp readily available to stop the roll when you get it to where you want it. It will continue to unroll if it isn't clamped in place. Also, do not pull it straight down to unroll it. Stand out away from the stand, where you want the end of the paper to be and let it fall into place to avoid any unwanted creases in the paper. This is easiest if you have another set of hands to stop the roll when it gets exactly where you want it.
