GTMax 6ft Micro HDMI to HDMI Male Cable

GTMax 6ft Micro HDMI to HDMI Male CableThere is a huge difference between watching something on a phone or tablet and seeing it on a big screen TV. This cord allows me to see that difference and its great! Whether I'm watching a movie through Netflix or scrolling through pictures, I love being able to hook up to the TV for viewing

It worked. That was all I needed. It doesn't appear to be cheaply made. Thankful for that. But, it's just a cable.

The cable was the right one and worked perfectly. I bought it for a vizio tablet and it fit.

I haven't got a app yet to make the picture fit the tv screen but I am sure there is one out there. The picture appears on the TV as expected.

Pentax Optio W80 Waterproof 12.1MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Triple Shake Reduction Optical

Pentax Optio W80 Waterproof 12.1MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Triple Shake Reduction Optical Zoom and 2.5 inch LCDThe best digital camera my husband and I ever owned was a Pentax W10 it lasted for years and took great photos.. very resilient. We figured that if a W10 is this great that a W80 would be even better but we were sadly mistaken after receiving our W80 and taking a few photos. At first, when all the photos we took turned out grainy I figured it was the settings that needed to be changed.

As a military photojournalist, I shoot daily with a Nikon D3, I know how to change settings and reduce the ISO to make the photo less grainy and even after I exhausted all changes to the settings, the photos were still unimpressive. We went outside thinking that more lighting would mean better focus and better photos but even they were a little soft and not that great.

I might recommend this for the outdoorsy type but for someone like my husband and I who are looking for a point-and-shoot camera that takes impressive photos (without fumbling through settings all the time) it was not for us. We are in the process of returning it.

I pre-ordered this camera to replacing an aging Canon. My main criteria was to have a camera that can be brought on ski trips; on the boat; canoe trips; and hiking. Used at the Grand Canyon and was very pleased with the quality of the pictures. (I am a casual user not a photographer). If you purchase this camera be sure to buy an additional battery! Would recommend spending about 15-20 minutes getting used to the camera before using in activities. Based on the reviews, the Canon is a better unit, but this one is slim and fits into ski jackets and life preservers.

I would have given it 5 stars, but I have to agree that there is some noise in average, everyday shots on this camera when taken with the automatic default settings.

The camera feels small and tough, and I haven't had the short battery life that others have commented on (seems like I get about 15 hours or so of off and on use per charge). It can take AMAZING shots if you take a little time to learn the settings. Manual macro shots of up-close items look terrific, and the panorama feature on this camera stitches separate pictures together better than my old Kodak 1063 did.

The underwater shots look pretty good, especially if taken on days with sufficient sunlight, and I'm not seeing any signs of the camera leaking.

Overall I'm really pleased with this little camera. It has a lot of neat features if you just take the time to learn about them. Originally I was deciding between this camera and an Olympus 1050sw, but my friend with the Olympus can't take shots that look nearly as good as what I've been able to take with my camera, so I'm very happy overall.

Just bought this camera given anticipated buzz.

Admittedly, I have not tried it underwater, or tested its ruggedness. But I am sending it back because it won't even take normal pictures accurately without graininess, blurriness and movement. Also, the delay is far too long, and image stabilization does not work accurately. Additionally, if subjects are moving, it's quite difficult to get a reasonable picture in low-ish light. To be fair, I tried a variety of mode settings including auto and a variety of manual settings, and frankly my iPhone took better pictures (without a flash!). In fact, the best pictures I took were in "green mode", and these were not really comparable to a generic 3-5 year old digital camera.

Maybe this camera has a niche use for underwater/etc only, but I had planned on taking "normal" pictures of reasonable quality with it as well, and I just couldn't find a way for this to work, so this is a non-starter for me.

I should have waited for the reviews to come out before taking the plunge:

see for comparisons to D10 and TS1. Of note, even the W60 performed better in this review!!!

Want Pentax Optio W80 Waterproof 12.1MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Triple Shake Reduction Optical Discount?

I preordered this directly from Pentax, and I've had it for less than a week. I know someone with a W30 who is very happy with his, so I figured this would be much better. So far, I'm very disappointed. I'm comparing it to my Canon SD850 by shooting macro, interior and exterior scenes. I have left the settings in auto mode and set it to record highest quality. The W80 produces very noisy images. Flash results seem to be a bit erratic. Very poor image quality in low-light. Side-by-side photo comparisons on-screen show better images with my Canon.

I also figured that since there is no moving lens, the W80 would have excellent battery life. Canon battery is 1120-mAh and W80 is only 680-mAh. The actual battery life is commensurately poor. I can get by on a weekend trip with lots of photos with only a single battery in my Canon, but I'm sure I would need to take two or three with the Pentax.

I really wanted this camera to work out, but I'm about to send it back. Anybody else have some feedback on this camera??

Olympus TG-310 Tough 14.0 MP Digital Camera with 3.6x Wide Optical Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD, (Blue)

Olympus  TG-310  Tough 14.0 MP Digital Camera with 3.6x Wide Optical Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD,We bought this as a wedding gift for our best friends. The reason we chose this item was because it was damage resistant and bright to find if set down outside. {The bride lost her first camera, so we needed something to help combat that.}

They took it to Cancun and had it in and out of the water for 7 days straight. The camera freezes if it goes past 10 feet, they learned, but if you follow the cleaning instructions, it'll come out unscathed. Which to me, is amazing and totally worth the money!

It has several features they've found awesome and helpful, the slideshow when looking for a specific picture, the option to take several pictures at once and have it merged together as one was another.

The reason for only 4 stars is the battery life. The camera dies after about 150 pictures, and that is honestly a downer. Especially if you want to take it anywhere that you'll be snapping several pictures...usually vacations.

However the quality of the photos, the amazing durability of the camera, and the fun color options, can outweigh the one negative. Just charge it often, or buy a second battery to keep as a backup.

I am going to buy one for myself, I'm that sold on it!

This'll be my third model and fifth camera of the Stylus Tough series. Already had this same one for six months, took it too deep skin diving. NOT a dive camera, but truly tough and weatherproof. I've lost three cause they go where a camera should not go. A high end card helps a lot with recycle speed. I'm trying orange to help with losing it problem. If you've ever drowned a camera in the rain or ruined one with dirt, think about this oneit's impervious, I would hand it to a three year old in a mud puddle!

Bought this camera to take on a cruise to the Bahamas. Took a couple of pictures before the trip just to make sure it worked, and all seemed good.

The first 5 days of the cruise (including 2 snorkeling expeditions where I didn't get near to 10 feet underwater), it worked great. Good color rendition, and the panoramic feature was so much more simple than other point-and-shoot digital cameras that I have had. The pictures were nice, and it worked great under water. Sadly, towards the end of the 5th day, the view screen stopped working. It would come on for a couple of seconds and then go blank. I recharged the battery a couple of times, and even tried our spare battery, but that didn't help.

The camera didn't leak in the battery compartment, so if it was caused by water leaking in, it came from some other part of the camera.

Fortunately, we had our Kodak digital camera with us on the trip, so we were still able to take lots of pictures of the Bahamas and Key West.

Sadly, the Olympus went back to the store for a refund. If it couldn't hold up on a fairly tame cruise, I just couldn't justify getting a new one for potential future vacations like white water rafting that I would want a waterproof, shock-friendly camera for.

I have a good Canon DSLR for serious photography. We bought this camera to take snapshots on the cruise, and for future vacations. The camera has nice features, and worked great while it worked. Sadly, since it didn't last 5 full days, I really wouldn't recommend buying one.

I purchased the Olympus TG-310 on a cruise when I dropped a broke my camera. It was my first waterproof camera and I was really impressed with the price and what it could do. WARNING: Make sure to LOCK the camera when you are using it in and under water. I did not and the second day of owning it I got it filled with salt water and couldn't use it for the rest of the trip. Thankfully, Olympus stayed true to their warranty and when I arrived home from the cruise sent it in to get fixed, free of charge. Good company and good camera! Very happy with my purchase.

I bought this camera and floating case prior to a cruise with some friends and it is WORTH EVERY PENNY. We swam with stingrays, snorkeled, explored caves, kayaked, and hung out in the pool and got terrific pictures without having to worry about damaging the camera. Features are easy-to-use and can also do panoramic photos; battery life is a bit limited but I solved this by buying a second battery--extremely afforadable on Amazon. Takes great pictures EVEN UNDERWATER (I used a 8gig memory card and saved all photos on the highest resolution so they'll print out suitable for hanging up at home later) and good indoor/non adventure kind of pictures. Downside: lengthy time between when you push the button and when the photo actually takes.

Supereyes B008 5.0MP 0.1~500X Handheld USB Digital Microscope Loupe Otoscope Magnifier with LED Met

Supereyes B008 5.0MP 0.1~500X Handheld USB Digital Microscope Loupe Otoscope Magnifier with LED Metal StandI just took delivery of this digital microscope today after purchasing it here Brand New Supereyes B008 500X USB Digital 5.0 MP Portable Pen Mini HD Manual Focus Microscope Endoscope Magnifier Camera Loupe Otoscope w/LED and Stand

This is the first time I have done a review of a product, so please be kind.

After opening the packaging and looking at the microscope i was pretty impressed with the quality of the item, its about 4 inches long and about 1/4 inch in diameter(actual size is 17mm X 126mm. The case of the microscope is made out of metal and is pretty robust looking and looks like it could take a bit of a beating. After plugging it into my computer it was recognized right away. You have to install the software that comes with it to be able to see the output of the microscope. This comes on a mini dvd and is in zip format.Just unzip into your folder of choice. There is no installation of the software as such..once you unzip into your folder of choice on your hard drive you need to go to the Supereyes folder and look for the Supereyes application file and create a shortcut and place it onto your desktop for easy access to the program. Once you start the program you just select the device if it hasnt already done it and your good to go. The software comes with a pdf. Users manual in pdf format is in English, as does the little manual inside the item box. The software is Windows 7, Vista,XP,Mac and Linux compliant and had 4 different selectable languages. The navigation of the software is relatively easy and shouldnt pose as a problem for the not so computer minded amongst us. The software allows the use of the digital microscope in various ways like taking snapshots and recording video. Taking a snapshot can be done from the software program which is a feature i like as it means a hands free method so as not to shake or move the camera while taking a snapshot. There is also a snapshot button on the LED light adjustment switch on the lead of the microscope itself as another method to take a snapshot. The video can be viewed and recorded at different resolutions including HD. With 5.0 MP it takes awesome high res pictures and video. Software also has a measurement function to be able to measure anything on screen including measuring angles, not many microscopes come with this as an added function.

The microscope is manual focus and is done so by a thumb/fingerwheel at the top of the microscope and there is a small magnified window on the side to tell you which magnification you are using. It was at this point that i noticed that this maybe the first con of the microscope. The cable comes up through the center of the wheel which controls the focus and could cause friction against the cable and possible cable wear and damage with prolonged use. This is yet to be verified and we will see with time and use. My purchase came with an adjustable work station/stand and i have to say this is a must, as the camera is very sensitive and would be hard to get a good picture by holding it with your hand. As I said I only just received this item today and have not really had a chance to use it fully, but in the short time that I have used it I was pretty impressed and was motivated to write this little review. I am looking forward to using this microscope for my work with computers and cell phones. I would also like to say that for $112 this was a good buy on my part as i have seen these at way more expensive prices and they dont come with an adjustable stand. So I highly recommend the seller that I bought this from if you are in the market for one of these digital microscopes. The link to the item and the seller (Digitalscopes)is at the top of this review. If you have any questions on this item, leave a comment on the review and i will try to answer them for you. I will return after a few months of using this in the electronic world and will do another review. Thankyou for taking the time to read this review and hopefully it will have given a little insight into the Supereyes B008 Digital Microscope.

when it doesn't call for a $10,000.00 microscope to look at failed parts in industrial automation it gives high enough definition to see what I need to see, easy on the eyes and on the budget.

Hi there,

I wanted to have an HD Camcorder for my trip and I ordered this.

The picture clarity is very good. Also it removes any excess shaking images into a stable one. I liked it.

I take it along with me where I go for my trips!

Received the camera bundle is excellent condition. Everything worked when tested out. I'm amazed by the video from this camera. Turned all the settings to the highest quality and did a few tests indoors and outside. It's a bit grainy in the dark. But, why would you be filming in the dark I don't know. Overall my daughter is very happy with the camera.

Premium Flex Skater Dolly Stabilizer Table Top Slider for DSLR Camera WYD150

Premium Flex Skater Dolly Stabilizer Table Top Slider for DSLR Camera WYD150This works great, smooth as glass, if you mount your dslr to it using a rigid mono stem. If you mount a dslr to this using an jointed piece, the camera will be too heavy and your footage will have a lot of bouncing in it.

If you want to make it even better, get two pieces of shelving mounters from home depot and drill them to a six foot long piece of finished poplar. Then you'll have a sort of rail system for it that you can put on rough surfaces or mount on a couple light stands.

I've added a photo to show the dolly system I built!

Excellent, inexpensive slider! I got the one with the black/clear wheels which makes my production look more professional. I had dreaded getting the one with blue wheels, because I would've at that point replaced the wheels.

The rolling action is smooth! Glides across a table top easily, even with a heavy weight on it like a DSLR and lens setup.

The adjustments were easy to track around whatever object you are filming. The wing-nuts on the axles are easy to adjust. I will say that the pivot-markings on the base plate are sort of useless and aren't alighted perfectly.

And now on to the gripes.

1) This is a small unit. No known DSLR will fit on this unit right out of the box. Most Camcorders will not fit on this unit out of the box. The wheels are too close together. Very short wheelbase inhibits mounting flush with the mounting plate (the most stable way to mount, of course). You will need a spacer, quick dismount, ball-head, magic arm or something else to give your camera enough clearance away from the wheels.

2) The 1/4" bolt for mounting your camera equipment requires an allen wrench to remove and turn to mount your stuff. This makes it inconvenient to change out accessories. It has a notched surface for "finger turning", but the screw was really tight in the hole making it almost impossible to mount correctly the first time.

3) My mounting bracket is slightly bent, making two wheels on the diagonal corners up in the air. This does give some slight wobble issues, but nothing the in-lens stabilization cannot correct.

These last three things are sort of petty of me, which is why they only got one star knocked off. But this is a great roller for what it is!

Buy Premium Flex Skater Dolly Stabilizer Table Top Slider for DSLR Camera WYD150 Now

To mount my DSLR, I purcahsed the EzFoto Arca Swiss Type Compatible Ball Head, with Quick Release Plate. It was about 30 bucks, and is fantastic for this dolly. You will not need any additional parts to get going.

The dolly is smooth, and is well constructed. I have no complaints about the build or function, and have been having a lot of fun making slide shots.

Please know that the dolly does exaggerate any irregularities on the surface that it rolls on while shooting. For example, I shot some basketball players from the gym floor. Dust and debris from the floor quickly accumulated on the rubber wheels and created jitter while rolling. I was surprised at how problematic this was, and due to the "sticky" nature of the rollerblade type wheels, getting and keeping them clean was a challenge. Later I shot from an old science table with lots of irregularities on the surface (scratches and nicks). Again problems, although not as bad. But when rolling on a smooth clean surface the dolly is wonderful. I have begun carting around a table to use as part of the mount.

I guess if was really picky, I'd want the way that the axles are mounted to the plate to be better. They have tightening screws, which allow you to change the angle for arced paths. This is a key feature, but the actual screws are not that great. A rubber or plastic washer would improving things here, and I suspect I'll be adding one to each axle soon.

Very pleased over all especially for the price.

UPDATE: I bought 4 nylon washers (1/4 inch hole). I put them on either side of the axle bolts, and now the tightening screws sit much nicer. I remain very pleased with the dolly. The ball head that I bough is key. Great value great mount.

Read Best Reviews of Premium Flex Skater Dolly Stabilizer Table Top Slider for DSLR Camera WYD150 Here

I found this dolly to be well made but there are a few gripes:

1 it's small. I planned to use it with a DSLR with a battery grip (Nikon D7000). This camera will not fit directly onto the dolly unless you use a friction arm or a ball head or something of the sort.

2 the markings, while there, are almost useless. Since there are no numbers, you have to visually identify that you're sort of at the same marking on both axles in order to do a proper setup for a circular move. It's not impossible, but less than precise. The other problem here is that the axles are hexagonal and thus the marking are sort of under and less than visible you can see this in the photos of the item.

3 prone to irregular movement due to small size. Just like a car with a small wheel base, small disturbance in the surface on which this rolls will be amplified. Again, usually these kinds of dollies are used on a smooth surface, but something like a hardwood floor might be enough to upset it due to the joints between the boards.

4 another reviewer mentioned this if using a friction arm with a heavy camera, there is a LOT of shake when moving. I suppose this is not a problem with this specific dolly but something to think about.

I tried this dolly with a Canon S110 (point and shoot) and the results were a lot better. This dolly is made for lighter cameras. I would imagine 4/3's sensor devices with smaller lenses will be fine also, and in a pinch you can make it work with a dslr by having a steady hand and supporting the camera to eliminate shake but personally, I'll be trying a larger unit to see if it resolves some of these issues.

UPDATE:

I ended up purchasing the larger version (Large Table Flex Dolly Video Stabilization System for DSLR Cameras & Camcorders) of this dolly and it's MUCH better (see picture and review in the link). If you have a DSLR or a heavier/bigger rig, get the large or extra-large version.

Want Premium Flex Skater Dolly Stabilizer Table Top Slider for DSLR Camera WYD150 Discount?

Received our dolly today. Two things disappointed me because they weren't advertised correctly.

First, the picture for this item clearly shows angle markings on the base plate, so as to accurately place both axels for a uniform curve. Our model does not have angle markings. This was something we were looking for, as a feature.

Second, the center screw post is not sized to receive a tripod head. It is sized as though it were a quick-release plate. The camera must be mounted directly to the base plate. This is not advertised on the item page, or we would have chosen another model.

The construction is fine, wheels work well, etc. These limitations may prove enough for me to return this one and look for another model.

ION Film 2 SD 35mm Slide and Negative Scanner

ION Film 2 SD 35mm Slide and Negative ScannerFor $100, it's not bad. This device holds 3 slides in a bracket. The bracket is kinda fussy. Although the actual scan takes only a second or two, my steady stream average was 20 seconds per slide, mostly due to loading and unloading the bracket. Still, it's easy to do watching TV. No file-naming or computer fiddling is necessary during scanning. The SD card is dumped later onto a computer in one easy step, so that's good. The scans themselves are OK quality. Those old slides have really killer resolution and color, and you lose that. But for vacation shots from the 70s you want to view and share on your computer, this will do just fine.

This review is for the Slide 2 SD version only. The speed and transfer options are different from other versions of the Ion slide scanner.

Pros: fast, user friendly, ultra portable.

Cons: glass needs frequent cleaning to avoid dust particles from becoming part of the scanned image.

This device is great for storing, or restoring, your old family memories. The scanning itself is fast if you don't count the time it takes you to load the slides unto the tray (four at a time). Even that, however, gets faster after you've got the rhythm. My task was scanning 430 slides, and over 500 other images in negative strips and rolls. All combined, I had almost 1,000 photos to turn to digital. What I thought would be an endless pain proved to be the exact opposite. It only took about two days of my time, with a few hours work each day. Just think of it as a fun week-end project.

The photos come out at 2400x1600 pixels. The image quality is as good as the slide or negative allows. Please keep in mind that slides and negatives deteriorate over time, especially if stored in extreme temperatures or humidity, or in too much light. You can't expect a 30 or 40 year old slide to come out the same as a contemporary digitally taken photo, no matter what scanner you use. Additional processing can be done once the scanned photos are downloaded on the computer.

The device is really easy to use. Load the tray with the desired media (slides, negative strip or roll), insert it into the slot, press the OK button twice, push the tray for the next image, etc. The images are stored on the 1 GB SD card that comes with the scanner. You can then insert the card into your computer to copy the photos on your hard drive. The scanner has no processing options other than flipping or rotating the image.

The only complaint I have so far is that the glass where the image is projected gets dirty fairly easily, which will spoil your photos if not regularly cleaned. The glass is where the image is scanned from, so if it accumulates dust particles, they become a part of your photo. It's really like looking at the scenery through a dirty window. So you want to keep the glass clean, which is not that easy. The only access you have to do so is the slot where you insert the slide/negative trays. It's wide enough for a Q-tip to do the job, provided that the Q-tip doesn't leave behind some cotton thread of its own. Other than that, the scanner really did what I expected it to do. It turned my family's slides from the 70's and 80's, as well as negatives from the 90's, into digital photos.

Buy ION Film 2 SD 35mm Slide and Negative Scanner Now

The bottom line is that one could expect scans from original film to be better quality than scans from paper copy. Unfortunately, when it comes to this scanner, it is just opposite. Therefore purchasing it doe not make much sense. Allegedly, it is a 5 MB scanner. It should give you plenty of dpi (about 3600?). Unfortunately, scans produced by this contraption are much less that your screen resolution. waste of money and time.

This is really a great little piece. I scanned slides with it faster than I have with anything eles. The images its produces are of good quality. If you need to mainpulate the image and clean it up you need a photo program, this is a scanner and works very well at that. Now that I said that I am waiting for a replacement to arrive. I started with the base model, it was dead on arrival, returned it and upgraded to the SD, and as I said it works, worked great. I notice from the start that I was having problems powering the unit up. What happens is you push the power button it should turmn on the LED lighting and the program boots in the window. Well, the light would flash the screen would come on and nothing, let it sit and try a few times it would finally boot up and away we go. Well, this just did not seem right so I e-mailed customer support with what it was doing and two days later received an e-mail back saying that it appeared I had a defective unit and to please return it to the store that I had purchased it at, which I did. They had no more, and had to order a replacement from the warehouse, waiting on a new unit. Like I said, scanning slides with it is a breeze.Yes the instructions are not all that great, but it basically is push button and it works, so what more do you need. This will be the test however, if this one does not work I will down grade my rating. But I really do love using it.

Received the upgraded version, works like a charm. Copied over 300 slides over the weekend. To be truthful, I have been trying to find a way of copying my slides for quit awhile to include purchasing a multipurpose printer that scans, copies, prints all media and this device is by far the simplest and fastest device I have come across to date, and the price is not bad either. By the way it works really sharp on negatives too, so if you have sheets of old negatives, this device will turn your negatives back into useful picturesand does it very well.

Now understand, it's not going to fix your slides, they need to be clean and you need a photo program to enhance the color and sharpen the slides. Basically, it's going to copy what it sees, and not fix age nor photographer errors. I would recommend this device to a friend or family member that wanted to make digital copies of the family slides.

Want ION Film 2 SD 35mm Slide and Negative Scanner Discount?

This is a great product. I have tried scanners in the past and they did not provide even "good" quality images this one gives "excellent" quality. The color rendition and luminance is very accurate compared to the originals, with very high resolution. For the price this is a fantastic value.

I like the included display, that allows one to set up the picture without having to be hooked up to the PC. In fact with the built in memory, you can do many photos without bothering with the PC, then very easily transfer to the PC or Mac as in my case. No fussing with software it works right of the box.

I see that others have not reviewed this as highly I suspect that the poor instruction manual might have something to do with it. To scan positives, it is necessary to get the unit set up to do this, and the instructions are not helpful. I suggest that users try different combinations to get to the right setting.

VideoSecu Mini Security CCTV DVR Recorder Motion Detection Overwrite Schedule Videos with Audio Recording 3UA The camera that came with this combination is part number IR31A. The camera is a weatherproof audio/color/IR 420 TVL 1/3 Sony CCD camera with a 3.6 mm lens. It is well built with an adjustable sun screen except for the mount and the way it attached to the body of the camera. The steel part that attached to the camera body with 2 small screws was loose upon arrival. These screws may be threaded into the aluminum body. They were tightened with extreme caution as not to strip the threads in the camera body. They could also have steel inserts in the body, I did not check. The mount relied on pressure on two round balls trapped between two metal strips. When tightened and in place the camera could still be moved. It may work OK only time will tell. The camera images are what you would expect for a 420 TVL camera. The color images were detailed and clear while the IR images were OK and what would be expected at a distance of 25 feet from the camera. The audio was not used. The combination with the DVR work great. Performance get a 5 star, construction of the camera/mount gets a 4 star.
