However, The extra lenses are Zeikos, pretty cheap and I would have expected a faster shipping after paying $800. Overall its a great camera, it takes awsome pictures and its good for beginners. The camera is really amazing, you could take almost every kind of photos with this combination of lenses, may be the accesories are no so reliable (the tripode really sucks) but for the price you pay is a very good kit.I was skeptical at first since the the kit seemed to good to be true. However, I decided to take the risk as I was using my credit card. Not only did I receive everything shown but I also received it in record time for ground shipment. I don't have the words to explain how happy I am with this product so I'll just leave it at that. Thank you so much.

Covert MPEG4 DVR Recording System with Built-in Color Pinhole Surveillance Camera Hidden in a Motio
All I can say now after owning this for a little over a month now is "WOW-WOW-WOW and WOW" I never expected this little camera to be as good, as powerful and as easy to use and setup, and even view what was recorded as it is!!!!
Gee I can set it up to record for several days at a time and the best part is, it is all self contained in the unit.
Some pinhole cameras need something like a recorder to do the work recording which can be an issue all by itself running the wire or even wireless signals between the units can distort some video signals, this unit has no audio and really in a security camera that's not really needed, this Defender Stealth1 has a Color pinhole camera and without audio to take up memory can be setup to record for about 30 some odd days, but the bigger Memory card you use the longer it will record, gee you can record continuously for 6 months to a year if maybe longer if need be, just think about how many VHS tapes you would need to record using a VCR for example, plus this is self contained that you can use long life battery's in or even short life AA(double A) for quick places you need surveillance, it also comes with a cord you can plug in to 110V house current if one is available, but if your out in the woods, or in a tent out in the middle of NO-Where, where there is no electricity; your hidden camera would still work, all you need is maybe extra memory cards as you needed to keep and store what you recorded, unless you had a really large memory card I might should add. You can also plug the memory card into most Laptops and view what you recorded and/or edit it by removing chunks(Blank spots if you will) from the memory card so your action stays closer together if you will. I'm really impressed that something like this didn't cost more!!!
12/10/2009 from Mesa, ArizonaA bit funky control wise but once you put the camera in place & record it's worth the price. SD card mates with my laptop & easy to merge the 10 second clips. I play back through the big screen tv & VGA quality is OK clear enough. I wish they had a similar model that recorded sound with the clip.Great Product! It does what it says it does. Easy to manipulate. Highly recommend it.

Tera Grand - Premium Mini DisplayPort / Thunderbolt to HDMI Adapter Cable with Audio Support - for
This adapter does exactly as described, has a narrow form factor, and is a fraction of the cost of others.
Tip: If you're having trouble with the display not working, try Detect Displays in display preferences (also Command + F2). Sound you must adjust in preferences to go to the HDMI device.
Hardware: 2011 11" Macbook Air (Thunderbolt), OSX LionI bought this item for $5.99, so I really had nothing to lose. Hooked up to my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro and my five year-old Philips LCD TV, all I had to do was to go to System Preferences > Sound > Output and select my TV's HDMI input, which miraculously appeared in the menu. Perfect picture and perfect sound from one cable. Highly recommended!I tried it on 2 different Macbook Pro's (2011 and 2012). It did not work on either one. I also called Apple, and they said the problem was with the adapter. Will be returning.

Moultrie I35 Game Spy 4 Megapixel Digital Infrared Game Camera (Camo)
Buy Moultrie I35 Game Spy 4 Megapixel Digital Infrared Game Camera (Camo) Now
This takes good photos and video. It is not as easy to set up as I had hoped. The camera settings are accessed in the date set up field. The area of capture and turn on are poor. all they have is a LED that you see get brighter as you walk across, this is static with no internal feed back! You really have no idea what the active field range is to turn the camera ON.

My husband ordered this to use in our business, and it gives great clear pictures that come in really handy in our business.Want Moultrie I35 Game Spy 4 Megapixel Digital Infrared Game Camera (Camo) Discount?
In theory this works as follows: i) you buy this camera or another camera compatible with their "game management system" ($150-450), ii) you buy a separate cellular module ($180-200), iii) you buy a subscription to their on line service ($360-$1200/year), iv) you buy an activation (an additional $29 fee mentioned only in some very small print in a very obscure place on their web site), v) you set it up so that you get an email when the camera triggers and then you can see your photos on-line almost in real-time. In theory, you also have the option between a pay-as-you go plan (min $40/month) and an annual plan (min $360/year).In practice, you buy all of the above (bare minimum about $400), then the activation fails. None of the usual excuses hold: the batteries are new and fully charged for both camera and cellular modem, the signal at location is great (I was checking their web site on my iPhone on 3G at maximum signal strength), the camera is on, the wire is plugged in, etc. Unfortunately, Moultrie has no customer support worth mentioning for this system. For the game management, there is separate line which is not toll-free. First I had to wait about 30 minutes on their regular customer support line, then I had to give the person all my details for another 15 minutes and then and only then, he told me that I have to call another line, dedicated to the Game Management System. On that line, you have the privilege to leave a message but you are warned by the "welcome" message not to dare leave more than a single message. Then you wait and nothing happens. Nobody calls you back. Nobody follows up. You go on "your account" from time to time just to see that the camera is "being activated". You call over and over the game management system line but you never find any human being on.
Imagine buying a new cell phone, activation, contract and all and then having the phone not working for days and no customer support help.
In practice, the choice between the pay-as-you go and the annual subscription also does not seem to exist. The type of plan appears to be determined by the cellular modem you buy. If you the device has a P at the end in the model number, you are locked into the pay-as-you go (which is about 33% more expensive per month). If your device does not have the P, you are destined to have an annual plan. If you don't know this and you buy the wrong device, too bad Mr. Customer.
The camera itself is much lower resolution than a comparably priced Stealth Cam for instance (currently about 8Mega pixels for $120 for Stealth Cam Unit vs. 4 Mega pixels for $150 for the Moultrie I 35). On the Moultrie I35, the weatherproof case is made of plastic, the locks are also plastic and may not last long. There is a rubber seal around the perimeter of the box but that appears to be very flimsy and will also probably not last very long. The Stealth Cam Unit case appears to be much more durable, the locks are metal, the rubber seal is much thicker and mounted in a recessed groove, and overall has a more durable appearance. The quality of the pictures and video on the Stealth Unit is very good. It also appears to trigger well for now but I only had the camera for 3 weeks so it's early to draw conclusions. The Moultrie is yet to take a photo and upload it. The flexibility of the Stealth Camera is also much higher. More choices for video, resolutions, trigger intervals, number of pictures taken, duration of video, etc. If it were not for the remote access capability the Stealth Cam would be the hands down winner. Unfortunately, this capability is yet to be experienced on the Moultrie I 35.
I will update this. I am very curious how many days of my subscription are going to be wasted before I can get the I 35 camera to work.
First update (deployment date + 2 days): cellular link still dead and no sound in video.
The cellular link still does not work, the same "camera is being activated" message on their web site. Checked in the field, the batteries on the cellular modem are completely dead in less than 48 h after deployment (the batteries were new and fully charged, 2000mAh capacity). The quality of the pictures taken is very good. However, the video does not have sound. I'm not sure this is a defect or by design. If it's by design, it's a very serious limitation. On the StealthCam I got 60 seconds of dialogue between two poachers who were smart enough to try stay outside the angle of view but triggered it anyway.

Sony DCR-PC55 MiniDV Handycam Camcorder w/10x Optical Zoom (White)
If you can live with a medicore picture quality, but have the ability to virtually pocket a camcorder anywhere you go, read on.
The Styling:
No doubt, this camcorder exudes sex. Glossy finish with chrome accents. Bling! The styling is very appealing and will demand attention. The physical size is so small, it can be pocketed in a pair of jeans. However, the dimunitive size is also its disadvantage. Stabilizing the camcorder with one hand was a challenge due to it being so light and small. The physcial shape of the camcorder was very awkward to hold. Many times, the index finger would partially cover the lens during taping. It was just natural for the index finger to overlay on top of the lens. The zoom button is positioned for a thumb activation. However, when the thumb is re-positioned to employ the zoom button, the grip on the camcorder is compromised. The user will feel like the camera will drop from their hands when using the zoom button.
The Picture:
Outside daylight recording is acceptable. Color re-production is decent. There were still some slight noise in the image. However, there was an un-acceptable amount of purple fringing. This can be seen when recording a dark subject against a bright background. For example, point up at tree branches against a cloudy grey sky. The edges of the branch glows purple.
Indoor recording with common household lamps was littered with noise and poor contrast. The overall picture was very grainy. There were no details in black objects. For example, a black leather chair just shows up as a black object with no other details such as wrinkles or texture.
The Audio:
Audio recorded in 16 bit sounded very good. Voices were clear and with faithful reproduction. However, at times, the microphone was able to pick up the actual tape winding mechanism of the camcorder. It was a constant high pitch whine that can be heard during playback. This is most likely due to the fact that the camcorder is so small that the distance between the microphone and the tape motors are minimized. The same condition was exhibited during the usage of the zoom button. Loud clicks can be heard during playback as the zoom button snaps back.
Conclusion:
This is definitley a case study of Quantity vs. Quality. There is a price to pay for ultra portability. In my opinion, the size of this camcorder has reached the point of diminishing returns. In other words, the camera is too small to be ergonimically correct. The size also compromised the audio and video performance. Buy it to impress your friends......just don't let them watch the final result. The Sony DCR-PC55 MiniDV Handycam Camcorder w/10x Optical Zoom is aboslute one of the best MiniDV Camcorders on the market. Even at its original retail price, Sony has packed so much technology into that sleek design that it's truly an amazing gadget. Another feature that I totally loved about this Handycam was that the instructions for use were made clear and operating the camcorder is almost as simple as taking photographs. And you don't at all have to worry about being a professional-the Sony DCR-PC55 MiniDV Camcorders computer will help you out. I tend to have a small shake in my hand when I am holding an object for an extended period of time. After I took my first videos, I assumed that when I played it back I would notice the small movment. To my total surprise, this amazing Handycam with 10x Optical Zoom knew that my hand was shaking and immediately compensated for it. To me, that was a feature that was worth a great deal of money in itself.
There are plenty of great features, more than you'll ever need-but everything you need just in case you want it. My neigbor borrowed it on a trip to Hawaii and apologized over and over as they had left it on a patio and it was exposed to about 30 minutes of light rain. They were ready to buy me a new one and I told them the only change in the camera was that it looked at little cleaner! It's not intended to be placed in water, however I discovered (after researching it on the Sony website) that the body of this small but mighty camcorder is sealed in a manner that keeps it somewhat resistant to the elements.
I did a great deal of research and many comparisons. I spent time online and then went to 2 different electronics stores where I could hold and visualize the camera. I fell in love with the compact design and how comfortable it felt in my hand. Since I did plenty of research, all I had to do was wait for a sale and immediately I made the purchase. When I opened the box I had everything I needed to start shooting photograhs, just after I ready the easy instructions for use. They even provide additional support online that answers questions that might not be addressed in the booklet that is included. Sony stands behind this product and has a toll free customer service number if you have any questions or need support that you couldn't find online. They offer a great warranty and my research on returns is basically that there are not that many.
I hope that this review was somewhat helpful. As I mentioned, there is a ton of great information that you can review. When I'm buying something I always appreciate the opinions of others who have actually purchased the products. Typically, I do my own research and THEN I like to read a review that reminds me that I am making a great purchased. Again, I hope this was helpful at least in part!

Buy Sony DCR-PC55 MiniDV Handycam Camcorder w/10x Optical Zoom (White) Now
Pros: Compact, lightweight, portability, easy to use, big screen, good reproductionCons: Microphone sensitive to wind, getting used to not having a viewfinder, bad low light performance.
Summary: I picked this camera as an upgrade for my old Canon ZR10. The first reason I chose it was the small size and portability. With a good light conditions, this little beast do its best shots, but in low light conditions this camera disapointed me (specially compared with mi old ZR10). Please don't buy it if you have plans to use it for stills shots because it has a low resolution.
The included handycam station have all the ports (Firewire, USB, power, video) you need to conect it.
The big touch screen is a must, because the screen is the only way to access the camera controls (besides some of them in the edge of the screen).
You can have a camera with more characteristics and better image quality for the same price, but if your concern is the size and portability this will be your best choice in the world of the mini DV format.

When you buy a product that is designed and meant to fulfill certain needs, just expect the best performance out of those features. The PC55 is a camera for the everyday home shooter, easy to use and made with the best SONY quality for one of the smallest MINI DV camera ever created.
If you are thinking about buying this camera don't hesitate one minute, this camcorder is one of the kind, it gives you pretty much the flexibility and video quality of a regular camcorder but with the amazing bring-it-in-the-pocket size and all the coolness and attention that it brings along (let it be your best Ice breaker, believe me it works like heaven!). I work for a camera store and let me tell you: we haven't received one return of this model during the time I've worked there (8 months), which proves the high quality SONY has built into this model. I have been using mine for a few months now and all I can say is that "the product is great... period!".
Let's get real, the 500 bucks you are paying for it is not for the film quality kind of movie you get in the picture (for that you need to spend at least a couple of thousand dollars) but the portability and worriless of no need of the big luggage a camcorder used to be in the past" (some times people don't realize a motorcycle couldn't be compared with a truck or vise versa).
About the picture shooting option, well let's see! A camcorder is for videos and a digital camera is for photos, if you want to have them both in one package, that brings excellent quality, you'd have to spend a lot of more money than if you bought them separately, let me explain you in a few words, the average photo quality for a MINI DV camcorder is 1.3mp or lower (the same quality you get out of your cell phone camera) to be honest with you, the manufacturers add this option just to give it an extra feature and at the same time take more money out of your pocket, with tape less digital cameras it happens the same way, the video and sound quality are very poor; so why bother paying more for a camera with both functions being excellent (there are quite a few out in the market now, starting around $1200 for models of similar size) instead buy two little cameras, one for each use, for half of the price.
If you are looking for a cool, high quality & durability MINI DV camcorder with the smallest size available in its kind, The SONY DCR-PC55 is your BEST option.
To finish, I just want to wish you all enjoy, more than the product, the unmemorable moments you will live with your loved ones because of this little fellow.
Want Sony DCR-PC55 MiniDV Handycam Camcorder w/10x Optical Zoom (White) Discount?
I've had this camcorder for a week now and I think it works great .. except for the touch screen feature. That takes a little getting used to .. especially when accessing the special features (such as fader effects) while filming. The digital still quality is poor when recording directly to the memory stick .. but the same images taken as a still from prerecorded tape is much clearer.
All in all it is a good product .. just takes some getting used to.

Clover Electronics HDC518 CCD Super High-Resolution Indoor/Outdoor Color Camera with Night Vision -
Pros:
Great night picture. Day picture is just like any 100.00 camera.
Chunky, thick metal housing and mounting base. Very reassuring against vandalism.
Great field of view (FOV). It sees a lot wider than the Swann and farther thanks to the extra LEDs.
Cons:
Metal mounting screws are aluminum, forget about them if you drop them in tall grass. Magnets won't pick them up worth a flip.
Power hungry Forget plugging this into the wall far (150') from the camera. It'll go dead as soon as the night LEDs come on.
Proprietary connections. Yes, that's right. This idiot thing doesn't even hook up to BNC connectors unless you use a 100' long adapter cable (supplied). This means if you have an existing system you need to run all new cable for the first 100' or you have a large bundle of cable hanging right beside the camera.
All in all it's a great little camera, and it should be for 250 bux, but the little goofups really hurt it's usability. If I had to do it again I'd just get another Swann Day/Night Maxi.

NetVue NI-1200 IP Waterproof Video Camera (Ivory White)
It is a very convenient product, allowing me to monitor what happens in my house instantaneously when I am outside. I installed the app in my iPhone. The camera resolution is good enough, and the picture is clear to see what is going on the other side.
It is quite simple to use. Only need a few minutes to setup everything.I bet this is the best wireless/wired video monitoring camera that you can find on the market. I have used for two weeks and it is awesome so far! Here are the good things about it.
(1) It is very simple to setup. Just follow the instructions and it took me 5 mins to complete it.
(2) They offer free apps and you can view online and videochat anywhere as long as you have the Internet.
(3) The video is extremely smooth and clear. My friend can even "watch" the program on my 73" HDTV from this camera.
(4) Plus, I don't even need a PC or any special software to run this camera. All I need is just a smartphone!
(5) Price is unbeatable. This is the best price I have ever seen for a high-quality video monitoring camera.
Absolutely worth it! I would recommend to all my friends.

Pentax Optio WS80 10MP Waterproof Digital Camera with 5x Internal Optical Zoom and 2.7-inch LCD (Wh
We left for our cruise and took the Pentax on our first beach day. Used it snorkeling (note I stay on the surface and never dive down so the camera would never be more than 3 feet submerged) and took fabulous underwater photos and video. I was very pleased.
When we returned to our cabin, some hours after leaving the water, I took out the battery and put it in the charger and also downloaded the photos & video into my computer. Next morning, however, I took the battery out of the charger and noticed the contacts were all corroded. Looked inside the camera and the same thing.
I managed to get it working and it took photos one more day. Drained the battery during another water-filled day. I could never get the battery to charge again. Sadly, I had no waterproof camera to use during the two remaining water fun days.
Returned the camera to Amazon and will be shopping for something similar but more "Waterproof!"Just got it today and here's my 2 cents' worth. It's cheap, , a cheaper version of Pentax W80. So please have realistic expectations. Yes, I've read the reviews before I bought it(see ). Other sites haven't bothered to review it. The noise and image quality issue is well known, as panned by the reviewers herein. The picture is too soft, too dull. But it fits my strategy. I need an inexpensive splash-proof camera for use while sailing. Getting any picture is better than getting no picture. For better quality shots, I can use a Panasonic TZ5 in a Dicapac waterproof pouch and look real dorky. Near future replacement for the TZ5 for me could be the Sony HX5 or the Panasonic ZS5. For dry conditions, I have a Sony A200 and A300 DSLR at my disposal.
I also have a Pentax Optio W10, bought in 2006. After taking a few comparison shots with these two Pentax cameras, I can confirm that the WS80 is noisier than the W10 at the same ISO 400, but the WS80 still has more resolution, less pixelated than the W10. The extra 4 MP help. The WS80 is also better in some other ways 5x zoom, cost, 720 movie, and kinda IS? One ergonomic problem I have with the WS80 is that I find it hard to fully depress the shutter button without causing some camera movement. My tweaks on the camera setting: set ISO at 200; crank up the sharpness and contrast in the P mode and do more post editing and add still more contrast. There's a little too much yellow, esp on grass.
If you want something more rugged with better image quality, then spend more money, ~$200+ more for a Panasonic TX1, TX2, Sony TX5 or Pentax W90. (Sorry, Canon looks too toyish and bulky.) For me this is cheap insurance against water damage to the DSLRs. Sailing pictures taken in brighter lights this summer may turn out OK then. Happy shooting!Easy to use water proof camera you'll want to take to any water activity. All functions are simple and user friendly. The large picture viewing screen is extra good for older eyes with no glasses. You will not find better for the money. Old NC surfer.I've had this camera a couple weeks and I finally got outside to take some pictures. Overall, for the price of the camera it takes OK pictures. If I wanted great quality pictures I would have bought a more expensive waterproof camera. I did however, buy this camera because it is waterproof. I did not buy it for the intent of snorkling but it will be exposed at some point to rapids, snow, and rain. After these entounters and no problems I will gladly raise this review to a five.
Camera is very easy to use. Takes nice pictures although on some pictures it looks a little blury in the background. When the shutter is pressed I experienced no delay even indoors. It was very easy to download pics to computer.
Overall, I would recommend this camera to anyone that wants a nice easy to use waterproof camera and is not to fussy about perfect pictures everytime. Camera is a good value at $169 w/free shipping. I'll update as I use this under different conditions.Since I just started using the camera, I have not yet utilized it to its fullest capacity, but so far I am very pleased. I like the fact that the camera is water proof so I do not have to worry about using it around water. Also, I like the feature that the zoom lens is encased so the lens does not constantly extend then compact every time you turn it on/off. The 5X optical lens is very sharp and even the digital zoom is quite sharp. Although the manual is thicker than the camera, it comes with a quick guide to let you start taking pictures quickly. I can always read the manual on an as-need basis if necessary.
I have owned a Pentax camera before (Optio S sub-compact)and really liked it also. However, this camera is much easier to use and produces very sharp photos. For a little over $200, very well worth the price!
